i really hope mine will be quieter. i have a 4 inch downpipe off my turbo, to a 4 inch to dual 3 inch y pipe to dual 6000's. i have a electric 4 inch cutout for loud mode. i want daily driver quiet. i may have to put another muffler on in the chain.
I haven’t been beating on it as much I recently took my drag radials off for some daily tires and it’s a full 1.3secs slower in 660ft on street so I just been casually driving and it’s held up great Got a little whine in 3rd but solid otherwise lol
@@devinherriot94 I notched the front cross member but I don’t think I really had too I got plenty of room and even had just enough to install some arp head studs while motor was in the truck LOSTAR Engine Mount Adapter... www.amazon.com/dp/B08X2G3884?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It’s gen3 5.3 with a sloppy stage 3 cam Tbss intake 92mm throttle body and shorty headers Nv3500 5spd with a 3.73 gear on 26” drag radial It’s only been bench tuned to get it started and driving but I’ve yet to get it dyno tuned so it’s got more in it for sure I think
@@garthur1128 it’s hard to say really I’m getting ready to re do the suspension but I drove this truck back in 2005 and I was young guy that cut corners so it has 3” blocks and I heated the leaf to drop it another 2” I just bought new leafs last week gonna try a 4” block and some caltracs in the rear and I got some 3” coils and 2” spindles for the front I’ll see how it sets them because right now it’s squatting some in the back

My understanding is a turbo works kinda as a muffler too so it shouldn’t sound too loud
That x pipe with these mufflers should make a good rasp sound
Does it still have the truck y pipe on it
@@b7dope nope it’s 3” off each header into a X pipe then mufflers
Here’s a look at my setup

What’s all done to the motor and what kind of motor you have?
It’s gen3 5.3 with a sloppy stage 3 cam

3” exhaust?
Yea Amazon shorties are 2.5” at the collector but from there back it’s 3” duals with Xpipe and 2 spintech 6000s
Those 6000 or 9000 series
6000
I’ve been looking at those and after hearing yours I’m sold. It sounds great
How much of a lowering kit do you have on it? It looks good
