I was asked to trim a laurel hedge. I turned up, got my hedge trimmer out and she told me she wanted it doing with secateurs. I said it would take about three days and three days money . She said the hedge trimmer was fine.
I've used the titan attachment for hedge cutting on my stihl and it's a far cry from the power of the stihl hedge attachment. either way it looks a good job but I'm certain you would be quicker with a stihl. it's at least 6 inch longer blade wise and the gear ratio in the unit is more powerful.
another top job jason. laurel not my favourite as being broad leaf always takes longer to get a tight finish compared to smaller leaf hedges.was that your can of blade lube in your rear pocket ? cheers
Very helpful video. Could you just confirm the gear you used ? I have a long laurel hedge and insted of employing someone to cut it, I'm going to have a crack at it myself. I just want to make sure I get the right set up. Thanks .
Nicely done,I dislike cutting laurels as the leaf is so big you end up cutting some in half and the remainder can sometimes brown and die off causing an unsightly effect that customers moan about.
Very nice job. Have a new laurel privit just planted so know what to do when it becomes established in a few years time. Light pruning for now this Autumn and Spring

I always pay old sheets at the bottom of hedges when I'm trimming, it's easier to clean up after.
