Watch out if you like to have a little doggy on the front seat or centre console…. Bloody little doggy paws will change your drive modes

Quick question. If I’m driving on an unsealed road, mostly dirt and gravel, and under 40k/h, is it safe to use mud/ruts mode?

Ford recommends not using mud/ruts on dry hard packed surfaces.

Anyone else not a fan of modes? It feels like the realm of Land Rover and Jeep not Ford and Toyota. It’s a marketing gimmick AKA BS. A few UA-cam videos or, better yet, genuine training will teach people how to 4x4. Modes need not exist.
Also, when someone (not from the marketing department) can explain how REACTIVE traction control is superior to PROACTIVE dif’ locks, I’m all ears.
