Great Job ...My Equinox never does..but the T-rex scoop with the CF rod works the heck out of shoulder..Especially a heavy ocean dig not warmed up gets me everytime..
Good point about the straight shaft, I have a blister on my thumb knuckle from water hunts using the equinox. The control box ends up rubbing on thumb and index fingers when water hunting. Too much pressure to keep the coil flat. The deus is much better
I'm a blessed 59 year old I go and dig 200 holes to relax lol I dont use a shovel so its 200 deep knee bends. I live in the desert in California it doesn't rain. The ground is like concrete. It is what it is. I swing a t2 it's perfectly balanced so no fatigue.
to me the D2 dose everything i need it to do , only thing i miss is the white coils for my D1 . i love those so much in trashy places . if they release something along the same lines for the D2 , it would be perfect. SMHF 5x9 . yes pls
now i understand why the link on the coil with the shaft on d2 is towards the user and not in the center. It's obvious now. Many ppl print that plastic thing that shift the link in the center of the coil for better center of gravity and I don't understand why would you do that. I never encountered that issue.
This was the exact reason why i bought a deus 1 next to my simplex, but when comparing tones im thinking about selling the deus and get a legend because those tones make more sense to me. Well, atleast i have one more month to decide what to do...
@@PaystreakSuperfreak Same dilemma here. About to pull the trigger on Legend @ $425 currently which is hard to beat. Definitely cannot afford the full on D2, but just saw the WS6 Master D2 with the puck for $899. Wonder how it compares to the full fledged D2? Also, the underwater capabilities of the the Legend seem better than the $899 D2. Not sure what to do :-( ....any suggestions? Have you tried the $899 D2 version yet?
My arms , wrists and shoulders don't get tired swinging machines up to 4lbs weight. Too many years of hard manual labour to be bothered by 8hrs plus swinging a 'so-called' heavy machine. Hard work makes light going. My fingers are ruined from vibration machinery, but it's only pain, not life threatening. I'm 63 btw. It must be quite arduous sometimes if you aren't physically robust, but hey, everyone is different, and physical strength and stamina most definitely isn't the be all and end all.. Xp make really light ORX and Deus machines for less taxing swinging for very many people, so too do FTP's, which is brilliant because more folk can participate in the hobby.
I see that Garrett picked up on that design somewhat, although putting the machine on top makes a difference. You carry the Deus in your pocket, and that's a real big advantage in weight. No comparison really. Certainly much easier to swing. Put the Legend on top of the Deus shaft, LOL. , That will change your swing a lot.
That straight shaft stress on the forearm is multiplied many times for smaller people like me. Love my XP ORX and Deus 2 !!

Thanks for your thoughts … makes sense to me.
Well said, couldn't agree more!!
some people do not even extend the upper shaft fully out on the the Deus. For me this is also a completely different feeling when swinging

Wishing for a Deus 2 six inch coil..... feather detecting.
Yes. My Whites machines have s shafts. Ergonomic but still to heavy. Tesoro 👍

Prior to the Equinox most of Minelab's metal detectors weighted around 6 pounds.
The Nox was a huge step forward

The XP is actually hanging from the fingers. A very good thing!
Hanging from the fingers is exactly right.

So true!, gave up the Legend and sold it especially for this reason, was so heavy, it wasn't fun going out with anymore.
9" coil coming soon for the Legend!!
I was considering buying a Legend since they are discounted until the end of the year, but now I don't know.
Better now than later!!

I always did say straight shafts are terrible on the arm. My old F75 felt so correct in the hand. The deus 2 feels good to me too.
The F75 is balanced very well!!
Xp deus is number 1 machin !!! Goid by
I have a At Pro and it is the worst. I usually put it down after 3 hrs.🤣

Both the Deus and Legend have a carbon fiber shaft.
I can see where you're coming from , but I honestly don't have the problem .
