Which is why the Nokta back-pack is the perfect carrying device for the Legend, and a Simplex too. Both fit into the Nokta cammo back-pack together with ease. You don't need to dis-connect their cables, simply slide out the stem, turn the machines on their sides, and put them in the back-pack. I never wrap the coil cables around the stems of my detectors. The cables run straight up the shaft, held to the stem by three velcro cable ties until six inches from the control box, then I give the cable two loose turns around the stem, pull the top velco tie tight-ish to the stem and connect it to the machine. Proper old-school. No chance of damaging the hard-wiring where the cable goes into the coil this way. BTW. A fixed handle Evolution spade also fits into the Nokta back-pack too! Use the right holster for the pistol hombre.

I can fit the legend, the deus, and the pheonix shovel in the nokta backpack, but I've broken both straps on the backpack and wore a hole in the bottom, I sewed a large piece of denim over the bottom and sewed the straps back on with dental floss ,and it's all holding good, I've put a lot of wear on that backpack in just a year, I used every time I go out to detect, because I don't drive

Thanks for the great comparison, made my decision from it and bought the 280.

I thought about getting a 240, but thanks to you I can't justify the cost for a lesser backpack. The 280 looks pretty good.

Check out the bag from white's detectors I have one when I bought my V3I it's a little bit longer than a regular backpack by about 10" works great for most detectors

Thank you so much for show this! the XP280 will be perfect then for the shovel + 6" +11" + legend. I took a Dremel and removed the plastic wings on the armrest that are used for keeping the detector from falling, since they where rubbing during the swinging. Thinking also if one could make the Controlbox removable from the stem aswell

The Legend bottom wings also rub on my side too. Very annoying. I was thinking of cutting those support wings off too.

@@PaystreakSuperfreak been working perfectly without the wings so much better, so just remove them

This is why I wish nokta would go to a round shaft so all you have to do is spin the coil 90 degrees it all lays flat no disassembly no cable disconnecting or connecting.

heres a question, your using it to hike to a sandy swimming hole ith a sand scoop or travelling with it. So the beach is busy and you ont want to leave it behind, now what. the 280 i have is not very flexable and will be hard to put in a dry bag to bring with you. Trying to solve that issue for awhile now. the 240 will but its not big enough with no tie downs for a sand scoop.

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak

The 240 backpack is very narrow so a sand scoop would be tricky and like you say there is no straps for a scoop. Whenever I detect on the beach or in farm field, I always have to go back to the car for lunch and to switch gear out. I never carry a backpack on my back when I am metal detecting because it is very hard on your spine to bend down many times with a backpack on. Backpack will wreck your back if you use them while metal detecting. You may not feel it now, but when you get older, you will regret metal detecting with a backpack on your back.

I mainly water hunt, cant drive to the beach here and pretty busy, my idea was to backpack it to the beach quick assembly, sit in the sand put the water shoes on as we have sea urchant then stuff everything into a dry bag to pull behind me. Theres a lot of locations and n place to park a car, i use a form of taxi to get near it then walk in.

I believe that Nokta is no longer making the Legend Multi-Purpose backpack as most places in the US appear to be out of stock. Has anyone heard of a new Nokta replacement in the works?

I bought the notka backpack, the strap started to come off from the bag, I took a needle and some dental floss to it, seems to be holding now, but I was disappointed as I only had it maybe 3 months, but I am also hard on it and use it every time I detect

I have not had any problems with my XP backpacks. I took them with me on my Texas trip. I stuffed both my XP backpacks to the limits because I was only allowed 2 bags on the train.

I'm watching this video again because I'm considering the XP 280
My nokta backpack, which I've had almost a year now, both straps broke off, I sewed them back up with dental floss and it's holding now better
The bottom I wore a hole in, I cut a leg off old overalls and sewed it over the whole bottom
I wonder if I should just get another nokta backpack, because I like the large size, I can fit the whole phoenix shovel in it with both the legend and deus, I could buy another nokta bag and reinforce everything right off the bat before even using it
The XP backpack looks more quality though, and more comfortable

I love the XP 280 backpack. Is is a little tight with the Legend but doable.

I used both my XP backpacks for my trip on the train this last winter. I packed the Deus 2 and Nokta Legend in them with all my tools and clothes. The zippers are super strong on these backpacks.

Nokta Legend is 63cm long when folded, LG30 coil is 30x23cm so the backpack doesn't have to be big

Hey Jeremy, I’m going to a heavy iron infested site tomorrow, and would love to know what settings you would use on the Legend? We don’t have your minerals, pretty neutral. Recovery speed, iron filter, stability, which multi-frequency or mono frequency program would you use, thanks

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak
      @PaystreakSuperfreak  2 роки тому +1

Multi 2, iron filter 2 or 3, stability 2, tone break 10, recovery 10, iron volume high, 60 tone and USE THE SMALL COIL!!! That would be a good start and you can adjust from there.

I know the legend lower shaft will fit the Deus and it’s stiffer being carbon so no wobble!
