- Music box version of Davy Jones' Locket from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. I ran the strip through the right way first, then ran it through again, backwards and upside down. I think it sounds beautiful either way!
I do not own this song, or this composition; I transposed it from the movie and tried to keep it as true to the original as possible. Please do not use this video without my permission.

Davy Jones I bought the music box and paper strips from www.grand-illusions.com. The price will depend on where you will have it shipped but I believe the set costs about 39 euros right now.
JingizuPlains It is one with 30 notes and 39 euro? What about that paper I don't want a blank one, want one that plays this song :O.
That's the one! Unfortunately it only comes with blank strips, but half the fun is making your own songs! If you get the Music Box Composer App I can send you the notes for the strip I made but you'll still have to punch the notes onto the strip.

The Reverse of Davy Jones' and Calypso's Music Box song has a meaning of how would Davy Jones would feel if his love fulfilled her promise.
It's kind of funny, really; how some songs sound just as good played backward as they do played forward. Much like Ballad of the Goddess and how a relaxing melody can suddenly turn into an adventurous ballad. Thanks for sharing this with the world my friend. A rather unique music box too.

Look up "hand crank music box". Pretty sure anywhere there's no paper, a note is struck on the wheel.
Hammers are on a spring, paper holds em back. Holes mean they go thru n make noise tho, and are angled such that they lift back outta the hole afterwards.

This has always been my favourite song. It makes my heart beat so fast and fill my eyes with tears. I had never heard it backwards before. It sounds like it's missing half. It's sounds complete like this.
When my ex cheated on me after 3 years of being together. I just sat and listen to the full version of this song all day long. Remembering my time with her, how much fun and joy we had. Remembering our sacred vows to each other. Remembering every single moment i was with her and remembering her smiles.......

I went to the website and there were 2 of them(music box) ...i was wondering weather i will be able to play this tune on the smaller one or not. and the how did you made the precise holes in the paper?

utkarsh singh The difference between the two is how many notes they can play. My music box has a 30 note range while the small one only has 15 notes. Short answer: Yes, you can play the tune on the smaller one, but it will be very simplified and you will have to rearrange the notes because the smaller music box uses a different paper strip than the larger one. I use the Music Box Composer app from JellyBiscuits to compose songs so I don't waste paper strips. The music box comes with a small hole puncher to make the holes in the strips. It should also come with 5 to 10 paper strips, but I recommend buying more, unless you plan to make your own strips with heavy paper (cardstock).
