"Just a high school teacher"! This is great content, man. You're doing us all a great service. I take my 107 next week and am learning so much from your videos. Good graphics, explanations, question formats. Every 107 candidate should subscribe to your lessons. Thanks!

I’ve been flying conventional aircraft for a long, long time. You explain the treachery and trickery of FAA exam questions better than anyone I’ve yet found. Every pilot, regardless of rating(s), will benefit from reviewing your weather videos. It’s the first thing we learn, the first thing we forget and absolutely the first thing we struggle to remember when we get “caught” in it.

Mr. Mig - Love your format and content! I am going to take my Part 107 test shotly and really am learning alot from your videos. Please don't say you are "just a high-school teacher" ! I am in my late 50's and I can tell you that some of the most impactful people in my entire life were engaged, enthusiastic teachers from middle and High School. You are making a permanent postive impression and you should be proud of that! You are Awesome! keep it up!

So here is my question. Stable Air vs Unstable Air. Ok, 2 types. But what about those days with nice clouds, no precip, slight wind, very sunny and clear, no turbulence, good visibility - little haze. Is that Stable or Unstable? Seems like we need a third type. And I do like the learn, ask questions format. The other is good too for the checking out how to react to a test. Great job with the Part 107 training! I've seen you promoted on Facebook pages for Part 107 training. Keep up the great work!!!

Mr. Mig you are a national hero. I passed with an 88% after watching through your part 107 playlist twice. The only items on the test I did not get from your videos was frequencies, risk management (ADM, CRM), and radio phonetics. Thanks for making the easiest to understand video series on UA-cam and keeping at a reasonable ~4 hours. Couldn't have done it without you

Mr Mig you should remake your Weather pt1 & 2, feel like these are 2 weakest videos on the channel. There's a lot of information that was left out on the weather just because you only covered questions provided by that presentation. I find all other videos of yours to be more informative, and weather is such important part of the test

Liking the videos, I don't know if this helps but I like to think of stable and unstable air as diffrent bodies of water. Stable would be still water like a pond (or an untreated pool) that can get murky with a smooth layer of algae on top. Unstable air would be more like a river, the water is clear and kind of sporatic, shooting up and out of the river bed since it's running into rocks and whatnot.

One of the most frustrating parts about this process for me is just when I think I've gotten a decent grasp of the subject matter, there's a new concept in a question that I haven't studied yet.
I mean it when I say f*ck the faa for putting prospective commercial UA pilots through this stuff that no drone pilot will ever need.

    Hi Mr. Mg,
Do you mind clarifying something for me? The visibility of unstable and stable air seems counter-intuitive to me considering the other characteristics of unstable and stable air.
Unstable air: How would there be good visibility in showery precipitation?
Stable air: What is causing the fog/haze/smoke that is leading to the poor visibility?
    Thank you in advance!

I don't understand how "wind direction changes" is the answer for what always happens at a front. Isn't it possible that a cold air mass going a particular direction overtakes a warm air mass going the same direction, but slower? Would this not be a front?

A tip I found that works with direction is thinking of it from a You perspective. You, the Pilot (think of all pilots as an single entity in most cases) are heading this way. The obstacle (in this case, the wind) is coming from here. You can see this used in FPS games where you may call out an enemy at a given degree.

Today I went to PTI Airport in Greensboro and took my test. I made an 85 on my first try. I will say, your videos helped quite a bit. You have a great way of explaining and I like how you take certain areas of the test and make a nice short video on them. I knew my weather from watching these videos, man, but I only had about 3 weather questions lol. Mine was primarily maps.
I have a few I know who are taking this test and I have recommended they use your videos to get help on areas they’re lacking. Again thanks again!
