The sounds the creature made sound like some of the sustained notes Zak does. I bought Masters Of Reality when it came out. Saw Ozzy and Randy on stage.....so long time fan haha. This is one of my favs just for the super hard driving riff and sound.

It's because back in his day, there was no autotune. You didn't have the option of cleaning up vocals the way we can today. You had to sound good live, it was the only sound you could have.

I want to mention how awesome the musicians who share the stage with Ozzy are. It's a constant supergroup kicking ass. That bass line by Mike Inez is energizing.
Zakk Wylde may be the coolest rock and roll guitarist ever. He just had the look. The look that every guitarist wants. He could play too, if you didn't know.
Actually, he's not always incoherent off stage. I've met him and talked to him in a hotel where I worked. He stayed for three days. Even halfway drunk he's totally coherent, and a even a bit charming. No entourage, he was a loner at that time. He even sat in the lobby reading the newspaper one morning, and you don't find many celebrities doing that. The hotel staff enjoyed him. Down to earth guy...but when he's onstage he kills it like no one else. It's impossible to put him into words.
It's because that is who Ozzy is. He loves his children, his dogs, sometimes his wife, but definitely his FANS. Prince of Darkness is an inside joke, I'm sure.

To be honest... the only band I remember exactly where I was when I first heard a song by them was Black Sabbath. I close my eyes and I can still see me as a kid staring at a small tape player radio that a then friend started playing for me. I've never looked back in regret all the songs and albums later for Ozzy. Great ride it's been.
Ozzy is the most humble and fan friendly superstar by a billion miles. Idk if there’s ever been someone who rose to such heights and is probably still exactly the person they were when no one knew their name

This solo was outstanding. It is a good example of the perfect rock solo. Zakk had such a clarity and rawness…yet elegance…in these early recordings. This solo kicked so hard.
The only person underrating Zakk Wylde here is the camera man. I have never once met someone who doesn't think Zakk is at least top 5 best in guitar history

Totally agree. When I clicked on the video, I expected it to be shitty. As soon as Ozzy sung that first note, I knew this was going to be special. Sounds AWESOME !!!! Love it when the live version actually resembles the studio recording and this does. Ozzy hits those "highs" unlike I ever expected. 👍👍👍

It's amazing when concerts live singing sounds as good as the original, no need for the artist to blast their song over the stage because they need a studio to make their voice sound like their original song.

@jim halpert Most definitely. The concerts in the mid to late 80's leading up to this point were off the rails. Type O opening for Queensryche. Savatage before unleashing TSO, etc. etc. The entire decade of the 90's should have been a continuation of that party. Unfortunately, everyone got stupid and serious. At least the party is coming back now. Better late than never.
Ozzy was in the best shape of his career during this tour. I saw him twice. Once on this tour and once during Ossmosis. And Randy was one of my biggest influences on drums. His snare/kick/tom triplets were the best in the business in the early-mid 90s.
I watched different Ozzy's drummers performing No More Tears, and Randy Castillo is my favourite. Man... his fills, groove, flow, intuition are AMAZING
I saw him three weeks later on the 4th of July. Fantastic show. Saw him three years prior on the NRFTW tour, but despite not having Geezer, this was the far better show. Oz was in much better physical shape and his voice was totally on point. Good times.
There's an innocence in Ozzy which is so captivating. From his expressions to his melodies. Especially "in the blink of an eye" part where he is singing, sounds like he tapping in to some child like voice. What a legend. Great band too

@jim halpert Most definitely. The concerts in the mid to late 80's leading up to this point were off the rails. Type O opening for Queensryche. Savatage before unleashing TSO, etc. etc. The entire decade of the 90's should have been a continuation of that party. Unfortunately, everyone got stupid and serious. At least the party is coming back now. Better late than never.

I saw him twice. Once on this tour and once during Ossmosis.
And Randy was one of my biggest influences on drums. His snare/kick/tom triplets were the best in the business in the early-mid 90s.

I saw him three weeks later on the 4th of July. Fantastic show. Saw him three years prior on the NRFTW tour, but despite not having Geezer, this was the far better show. Oz was in much better physical shape and his voice was totally on point. Good times.

There's an innocence in Ozzy which is so captivating. From his expressions to his melodies. Especially "in the blink of an eye" part where he is singing, sounds like he tapping in to some child like voice. What a legend. Great band too
