Chatted with us, laughed, then took off and had dinner and came back and talked with us some more. Nothing earth shaking, he was just a good guy. I was sorry to hear when he died. He was a good man.

Was the 3rd line I came up with -we had to do something 1 chord and not much of a tune - Leon Russell tried too, but Sonny loved the 3rd line I came up with and we cut this. I saw him in P.S. for lunch 1993 had some great memories together, he was happy with his new family!

I saw them live one time at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. It was definitely NOT an awesome show. Their impending split up had been announced and most of the show had one singing while the other was in a small dressing room just off stage then they would change. There were a few that required them both -- "I Got You Babe" was particularly awkward. I truly loved Sonny and Cher and never missed their TV show but that performance in Houston killed my enthusiasm for their performances. Still enjoyed their songs but it was never the same.
