Nice video, the trails over there look amazing and fun! I'm 58 and decided to start mountain biking myself, bought myself a YT Capra core 2 recently. Any advice for an older rookie just starting out?
how did you find the sizing,? I am 5'9 so on the end of the M and beginning of the L. I have heard YT runs slightly smaller, did you find this as well? and would you recommend the mullet? great riding!
@@billyvancise8141 they do feel like they have a shorter reach for sure. I’m 5’8 and didn’t mind riding the large. I did like the full 29er more though.
I no longer have that bike, I’m considering getting another one tho with different suspension. I couldn’t find a good setting with the fox suspension I liked
I found the mullet felt more planted, I prefer the full 29er but that’s just a personal preference. To me the full 29er rolls a lot better over the rough stuff
hey, you only switched the brake levers? or the calipers also? what about the fox vs rockshox suspension combo? I mean this yellow one vs the red one you've got.. thanks a lot!
Yes I switched the whole lever assembly. Rockshox is much better in my opinion, very easy to set up compared to the fox. I couldn’t find a setting I was happy with with the fox stuff. Also Rockshox seems to be a lot quieter
@@2WheelKyle and did that lever change improve the braking power? just don't know what to do, I got a pretty good price for the mx lava red one, exactly like the one you've had it seems that rockshox are not to be found anymore and the core 3 on their website is expensive and doesnt even come with the elite versions for the suspension anymore, so that's a bit crap also looking for a propain tyee 6 but that's about 1k euros more
Nice bike and trails! If I could offer a tip for GoPro, for MTB it’s better to film at 24 or 30 FPS, it makes it look more natural and life-like for biking

That is awesome good for you! Yes, take it slow and ease into things! Have fun!
Do you still have the capra 2? Thinking about buying a capra as well but couln´t find any long term reviews which weren´t sponsored by YT.

I love the deep yellow. Does it jump well? Is it poppy?
I actually find the 29er more playful, I have a video on that coming out soon!
Sorry if I missed it in the vid. What size frame and how tall are you? I'm looking into and heard YT runs a tad small. Thanks for the great video.
Hey, I’m 5’9” and riding the large MX and it fits great!
@Kyle Quesnel thank you for the info. Ride safe my friend
Nice trail and nice bike 🚲
Thank you!
@2wheelkyle what are your thoughts on the MX Capra, 7 months later? how's the small bump sensitivity on the rear wheel?
I no longer have that bike, I’m considering getting another one tho with different suspension. I couldn’t find a good setting with the fox suspension I liked

@@2WheelKyle Awesome, thanks! I guess I should’ve watched your video on the 29er 😂 I’ll be checking that out

@@ovidiumihoc yeah unfortunately the new one has a worse build kit. I’m selling my large 29er in the red if your interested haha
@@2WheelKyle haha I'm from Romania, you're too far away, but why that? why are u selling it already? looking for something else?
@@ovidiumihoc I’m going to try something different in the spring. So many good deals on bikes right now no better time to try a few out!
Nukeproof mega 297 or this Capra ?? :D
I would love to try the Nukeproof but for me the price was right with the Capra
Are you happy with the sram drivetrain? Does it shift as advertised. And the brakes if there the stock ones how do they preform? 😊
The drivetrain is great. The stock brakes are not good tho, I would switch those out

@@2WheelKyle instead of 60fps?
@@flowstateofmind yes I haven’t switched it yet
Mx and 29 which one you will recommend for core 3 pls?
I really like my 29er!
Is this the 29er or the MX?
This is the MX I just got a 29er as well and will do some videos on it!
how is the dropper post? many people said it doesnt work for a long time
No issues yet, but I haven’t had the bike that long
What is the weight limit for that frame ?
man when you are lookin down in that hyper view mode makes me nauesous
Yeah I need to play with the settings some more!
