    I'm impressed that the Dyson Air Wrap actually smooths your hair like a Straightener, I would love to stop using the Straightener - it's so damaging. When you tried the Revlon Brush, it seemed much faster and prettier and I'm sure the price is probably a lot better. But, the advantage of the Dyson is that it is heat controlled and will not damage your hair, especially when you have long hair and it takes a little bit more time when you're smoothing piece by piece. Thanks for sharing your video !

    I prefer spending some more money and actually not have my hair burned... After all if hairs get damaged definitely it’s going to take more money and more time to recover.

    The dyson won’t damage your hair. It takes a little to get use to it but even if it’s pricey your hair will remain healthy.

    I bought my Dyson after Revlon ruined my hair; and honestly it’s the best purchase I’ve made
    Dyson doesn’t burn or pull my hair, which is why it is a great investment.

    I got the Dyson Airwrap a few months ago (and love it!). I find that it’s easier to straighten my hair when I use the pre styling dryer to dry my hair 70-80% of the way then switch to the brush attachment!

  • @jackiekasabian
    @jackiekasabian 4 роки тому +9

    Went ahead and bought the airwrap based on your review. I have the Revlon and can notice the serious damage it’s starting to do on my hair (I straighten once a week). Despite me taking care of it (Olaplex #3 + LP Restore mask as conditioner and oil serum heat protection). Hopefully the Dyson won’t damage my hair as much 😩😩😩

    Revlon damaged my fine wavy hair after just a few uses so I returned it. I think it's best for thick, coarse wavy hair that can handle the high heat. I'm going to buy the Dyson because it seems to straighten the hair without the damage.

    I have 2 versions of the revlon one, the normal Ine and the titanium one. Those totally destroyed my thin hair. Had so much damage and breakage that I had to cut of the very thin ends.
    Shop the Dyson and was the best decision ever.
    I’m never using the Revlon brush again , I lost volume, density and length with it.

    Thank you for listening to our comments on your other video demo of Dyson AirWrap and re-doing your hair with the correct brush and technique. You could probably even get your hair straighter if used the brush from underneath and pulled your hair down from the top. It might get you more volume at the roots though. Also, be sure to go back to your other Dyson AirWrap demos and link this updated video (if you haven't already) to let your viewers know that you weren't using correctly yet. My understanding is that your hair should be about 60% damp and they advise using the pre-styling dryer too get get it to that point. Hopefully you'll update using the curling barrels with the 60% damp method. UA-camr Quynh Pham did an update using the barrels after her initial demo because she realized she used them incorrectly. Her results were beautiful and lasted a long time (she did a 20 hour curl update in that video). Her hair is straight thought so I want to see how it goes with curly hair like ours. Take care!

    • @angelabellavance5978
      @angelabellavance5978 4 роки тому

      Yes! I came here to say that she should be using the brush from under, not over. It gives lots more volume this way and there would be no need to really pull the hair. I also like to dry my roots a bit with the prestyle dryer before going in with the brush.

    • @cherylynl.tompkins7049
      @cherylynl.tompkins7049 4 роки тому

      @@angelabellavance5978 She's actually not looking for more volume from her roots. That's why she's used to pulling down from above. It's a technique to straighten her curly hair that is common with using other tools. But if she wants to get the rest of her hair past the roots straight, she needs to go from under and pull down on her hair from above. She has to pull on it because the tension will cause her curly hair to straighten better.

      The Revlon will burn my hair extra crispy if I go too slow. The look is sleek, it’s easier to use straight out of the box. However, once you figure out the Dyson, it’s just so worth it. I’m telling you, my feels amazing.

      I do have the Revlon too and In love how you get volumne using it. But the Revlon gets suuper hot and my hair reacts to this very much and even though I like the result, they look not the healthiest because of the heat. Which is why I'm thinking about not using it anymore and getting the Dyson, because it apparently is great for heat protection...🤷‍♂️

    I just used mine for the first time, and I am already addicted! Mine was not fully wearable, but it became super smooth and straight in literally minutes. And this is for someone who can't do a blowout to save her life. I will have to straighten it a little, as I still have to practice giving it shape and avoid the flyaways. But this way, I can just use it as a touch-up, until I get skilled enough at using the different attachments. Didn't feel hot at all, even on the high setting. :)

    Honestly I prefer the Dyson firm smoothing brush over the Revlon...the Revlon unfortunately could not get to my roots and my hair was still damp there. With the Dyson, I use the (Dyson) hair dryer first to rough dry then finish w/ the firm smoothing brush. For reference my hair is super super thick, long, naturally course and very tight waves/loose curls.

    I would love to own the dyson with all the attachments... The first heated brush I used on my hair was the simply straight brush that I purchased a year ago because it takes my hair 2 and a half days to completely dry in the colder months and it took alot longer to straighten my hair then I expected.... This May I was gifted the Revlon one step dryer brush and it takes me 45 minutes less than the simply straight brush to dry my hair. My hair was 70 % dry when I used the simply straight brush... My hair was 70% dry when I used the Revlon one step brush

    I had Dyson and sold it when I decided I wanted to wear my hair natural wavy. Then a year later I missed it and bought the Revlon knock off and I love it.
    For me this was the best decision esp when im not straightening my hair daily anymore. I couldn't justify the CAD700 Dyson here but I can justify CAD30.00 for a tool that does a very similar job.
    I also think that the Revlon might be slightly lighter in weight

    Which one do you like better, the hot tools one step or calista? I'm contemplating which one to get 😁

      Shelly K haven’t used the Calista one too much but it is amazing! I do reach for my hot tools styler more though because it’s faster 😝
