The Dyson looks so much better imo because you have body and fullness with the sleek and straight look. Some people looove the pin straight straightener look but I like a little more body lol.
Absolutely love the videos you're creating regarding the Dyson airwrap. They are by far the best I've seen on UA-cam! Thanks for the effort you've put into making these great videos 😊
I wish Dyson would come out with a flat iron next. Loved your end results! Blow dryers will never straighten like a flatiron. Dryers leave more texture and flow❤️ Great review btw!!
I have watched all your Dyson videos and seriously Dyson needs to sponsor you. I have bought the Airwrap due to your videos (I was very very lucky and went to the store just as they restocked). Your videos are so informative and well researched. And I have learnt heaps of tricks from your videos. I love the smoothing brushes the most. Thank you!
I feel like the smoothing brush looks so much natural. It looks like you are just born with very straight hair while the flat iron I think its noticeable that you've style it, I personally think the airwrap looks better because of that, the hair almost looks more alive, and the flatiron side look a bit dead almost. Hahha not sure if that makes sense
I really appreciate your clean white background and camera angles, especially the close up from above. Also love the fact that you didn’t use any product in your hair for any of your Airwrap reviews in order to keep the review fair. Thank you for not pushing hair products like everyone else does! Every bit of all your videos are extremely informative and pertinent. It’s obvious how much hard work you have put into them. Dyson really needs to sponsor you!!
Thanks for the detailed reviews! I can’t afford the complete set. So if you had to choose this one or the soft smoothing brush for a straight, smooth, sleek effect, which one would you choose?
If you want a straighter look, I would personally go with the firm brush. The soft brush will smooth the hair and give a more voluminous look but it isn’t as sleek. I hope this helps! Thank you so much for watching! 😊
@@myatthiri9657 I think they have a package with fewer accessories but it’s still around $500. They also sell the accessories separately but they don’t sell the unit by itself unfortunately
Great video Quynh. Definitely have to hold hair ends when using the Firm Smoothing Brush. I totally agree that the coanda affect results in flyaways and thus not as smooth ends. The round brush really does need a "combo" bristle for better grip. I have concerns that this round brush will cause damage unless my hair is at least 80% dry before using it.
Thank you so much! I agree about having to hold hair ends on the smoothing brush. I think that is the only negative about that attachment. Combo bristles and possibly more size options for the round brush would be a game changer for them. I hope that will come in the future. Thank you so much for watching! 😊
Yes, I think the whole brush is made from bamboo and it is one of the best brushes I’ve ever used. The wood bristles are amazing at detangling hair and it feels like it massages your scalp as you use it. I got it from Whole Foods on a whim and so glad I did. 😊
Hi Quynh, thank you for the amazing video. can you style with these attachments using “cold air” instead of heat mode? Will that work? I never had a chance to try this out :( but now i got a hair cut and would like to blow dry and style my hair straight everyday, without damaging it.

Thanks for the video! I am really interested in getting this especially for the straightening brushes. However, I’m confused as to which set to get as I have thick, straight hair but I like volume. The firming brush seems to flatten out the hair compared to the soft brush. But not sure if the soft brush would be enough to straighten out thick hair.Any advice?
I prefer the firm smoothing brush over the soft. I find that the soft doesn't really straighten as well. I also really like using it for touchup, even when my hair is dry. It is perfect for quickly smoothing out creases in your hair from hair ties. I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any further questions regarding the smoothing brushes! 😊
Quynh Pham Many thanks for your prompt response. So do you think getting the complete set makes more sense? I was keen on the shape and volume set as I live in a tropical place where hair tends to get limp but just not sure if the soft brush would suffice. How often do you use the volumizing brush?
@@showorchid72 To be honest, I've only been using firm smoothing brush attachment and the pre-styler since it is the quickest style for my hair (perfectly styled within 10 minutes). I don't curl my hair very often with the Airwrap since it takes a long time and I haven't had very many occasions to curl it. Since the firm brush pretty much does the trick for me, I haven't had to grab the volumizing round brush but if I feel like putting a bit more time into my hair I would use the round brush for some added volume and curl.
Using the dyson brush straightens my hair but the hair doesn’t stay straight for even half an hour! Same with the airwraps! Nothing stays longer than half an hour for me.. becomes frizzy and turns just like it was before I started. I don’t even have thick or super curly hair. Just normal hair with minimal waves. Help me out! Would using hair products before using the wrap sort this problem? If yes which ones? If nothing works I’m returning it. Super disappointed, I bought the whole set :(
OffensiveUsername I honestly think hair type and humidity have a lot to do with the longevity of the style. Using hair products definitely helps. I like leave in conditioners to help take my hair if it is super humid out (Oribe is my favorite but a bit expensive). For curls, you can try applying a curling serum or mousse while your hair is still damp before styling and hairspray after. I’m still playing around with mine. I noticed once my hair got super long, curling it with the airwrap was pointless. However, I’ve heard a lot of people say they use a regular curling iron to curl their hair and then just use the airwrap to recurl or for touch ups and it works really well for that. I hope this helps, I just cut my hair so I’m going to try the airwrap again for shorter styles. 😊
Quynh Pham Thanks for replying! I’m gonna get myself some products today and try again. one of the major reasons I purchased this cuz I watched your video where you show your curls lasted for about 20 hours, that just sealed the deal for me. This is why I bought it! Now if it still doesn’t work after the products, then there’s absolutely no point in spending 500$ plus and achieving mediocre hair that lasts 15-30 mins. Wtf
OffensiveUsername I hope the products help (I really like the L’Oréal Paris Elnett hairspray). But if they don’t, I would totally send it back also. I’m so curious why it works for some people and not for others. Please let me know if the products help 😊
Quynh Pham okay so I got about 3 products (and surprisingly the Elnett spray too!) I’ve straightened my hair today and it has been smooth for about 6 hours now, I’m satisfied if it stays like this. I’ll update how long it retains like that.
Lol, my goal is to make a video for each attachment since there isn’t much information about this from Dyson themselves. I’m planning on making a video for the 1.6 inch curling barrel, a beach waves tutorial, a comparison between the Airwrap and Revlon Brush styler, and I also have a surprise video coming up for everyone as well to show appreciation for all the support which I am SO excited to share. Thanks so much for watching! 😊

Thank you again for another informative video, I’ve been tossing up getting this and every video you’ve made has honestly helped so much!
your hair/ hair length is so perfect!
What's the difference? Less damage for dyson and more damage at flat iron. You can't compare a hot air vs fire. Thanks for review tho.
TFS...I tend to straighten my hair as a go to as it is faster than curling for me so was excited you did a review specifically for this attachment.
