Thanks for showing us detailed instructions installing fast rings!
I just finished a complete install on my car. It was my first time doing a sound mod, and I have to say that 5Star has been an invaluable resource from beginning to end.
I didn't buy a fast ring kit, but found that some 6 inch foam buffing pads I already had worked perfect for door plugs.
Anyways cheers to you guys for the indirect help!
What I installed:
- Pioneer AVH W4500NEX
- NVX VSP65kit
- NVX VSP65
- Memphis Audio SRX18SPT
- JL Audio 300/4v3
- all new OFC speaker wiring
- 36 sq.ft. 80mm sound deadening
i bet it sounds good
@@THEBLOODYBALLOON I think it sounds clean...definitely a step up
@@quicksno you should post a video of it. i’d definitely check that out if that’s something you could do. myself i’m in progress with a build for my personal vehicle. i’ve got some plans
6:42 that small attention to detail is the reason I'll have this shop do my new car one day. WHEN I get it. ha. Great job guys.
Guys I have learn so much from you! I replaced all the factory speakers on my corolla, apply the roadkill and fast rings. I bought the LC 5 1300 and a jbl bass pro hub... I'm watching pretty much all your videos and I learn something new every day.
With coax in the doors and tweeters in the dash, I feel he’s going going to get a heavy dose of highs.
thats what the customer wanted apparently
i have "regular tweeters" with front coaxial, and I have to turn my treble to 25% on my OEM deck to have an acceptable treble level. can't imagine how sharp this system gonna sound like with those PRO tweeters.
I have two 10 inch TW3’s in a sealed enclosure made by ground shaker, and my sub has plenty of room. There is absolutely no need to remove the plastic from the back of the seat!
Also since your sub woofers come with a grill, that gives you a clear view of how much excursion the woofer gets! Therefore once again, you don’t need to remove the plastic behind the seat!
Once it cools down I will pull it out and show you a closer look at it........................... Thanks for the cliffhanger Dean!!
My brother just retired down here and he's got a brand new Tacoma, wish he'd do something like this to it but he probably won't, great video👍🏻
It's funny. When you took the back panels off at the beginning, I thought to myself it would have been a deal breaker. But then you came up with the solution where you kept at least one side as being useful with the seat folded down and I would have been cool with that.
nice work guys...like the new sub enclosure you had built the guy really does nice work...
Who did the box ?
HI FROM ARIZONA...
Mornin, boys
What year TACO is this?
Can you show how you wired the tweeters and the front door speakers.
Good job on video. 👍
Since you already have the measurements and made a sub box hope much too get one shipped?
Can't wait until I get my money right
Do you have any tips on how to find a good quality shop when looking for an install? Also, is there a particular reason not to use door plug adapters to keep the wiring more stock?
Lucky the order got screwed up because those P3's (and any other sub) would have flexed that plastic turdbox and the tuning frequency would have been on a rollercoaster!
Kicker tried that crap in the 80's, junk!
Sounds like a wood spoon hitting a Tupperware bowl.......
Dean & Fernando 5 💫 Kings.
I enjoy seeing that team work. Time after time. 🔊💪🏼👍🏼🙏🏼✌🏼
What is the foam plug that goes behind the speaker inside the door for?
How much would a box like that cost to get made for a 2011 Tacoma double cab?
Wow I like could I get one 👌
Can you make a video on car capacitors? Like under what condition do you require to install capacitors, do you really need it? Consequences of not having capacitors when you add high power amp. From what I've been searching around, they said that you need to add 1 Farad for every 1000W RMS added. Wanna get your opinion on it since don't think I've seen capacitors installed in your built
They've talked about this before. I believe Dean said instead of a cap, go with a secondary battery.
Never use a cap
I've heard caps cause more problems than they solve. Same goes with a battery isolator.
I see thanks all for the response, since crutchfield even has a guide wrt capacitors but I don't think I've see any builds by them
So not sure to what point do you require cap or if it's just better to add a 2nd battery.

Too bad you don't make and sell a subwoofer box like the one taco tunes gets from China for the 5th gen 4runner. I like there box except for the port
