Brilliant video. This will be my first bike, at age 66. Tremendous value for an extremely well thought out adventure tourer. I am very impressed that the final product flows so well from the design concept, based on mastering the Himalayan mountains so capably, and by extension, the rest of the world.
Respect to you sir that even at the age of 66 you are willing to ride. Because many people at this age stop loving their life. I wish when I will be of your , I would have the same passion for the things I have right now
wow!
❤️❤️
My second bike fifty seven years old great bike
Age is doesn't matter for enjoyment all the best uncle
Noraly and her Besanti and doing amazing on their adventures! Well done on building such a rugged, affordable, adventurous motorcycle RE!
Mondo Oso - yes she got new bike name dyano🤷🏻♀️
Jas Bsc yep! Actually named Dhanno
@@jasbsc709 Dhanno
She was but she now rides a Honda. Royal Enfield supplied her a bike when she got back to Holland but she threw it back in their faces and bought a crappy Honda. I used to subscribe to her channel but no more.
@@frankpinion4937 Her last Himalayan is in Perú now, at Holland´s embassy, She couldn´t continue her trip from Patagonia to Alaska due to the Covid. Most of South American frontiers still closed.
I LOVE my Himalayan. Royal Enfield has done such a good job, everything on the bike works together so nice. It makes this one of the nicest bikes I have ever owned (and I have owned pretty much all brands, more than 30). It feels like a perfectly balanced package, not the fastest, heaviest, highest, strongest...just a very good bike in every aspect. This is often overlooked, a bike can be very fast or comfortable but if all the parts on the bike don't work together it doesn't make a brilliant bike. In my opinion, the Himalayan is a brilliant bike because of exactly this.
I am getting my Himalayan today.
K.purushotham Raju so, it’s been 4 months, how has your experience been
K.purushotham Raju, Take care with new tires on tarmac= slippery
@@Aryan-tz7zk it was really very great. Only issue is heating which we can expect for 410 cc. Overall it's great.
Bro what is your height

I sold my 7 year old Karizma R last week, without a second thought after the Himalayan test ride. I was actually planned to own a RE once I turn my 30 yrs,
but this is something different that you can have for a purpose or multi-purpose,so I really don’t want to wait and I booked the Legend. Now I’m counting days to set my ass on the Himalayan and busy with setting up a vehicle loan. Hope this bike can be a life time one like the video says. Most of the people disagreed with my choice and said, you will be sick of taking this off-roader.I really don’t care those comments because this is the one I was actually waiting for.
A stunning model ever made in INDIA !!
meanwhile Pierre Terblanche led the design team during Himalayan's development.
@@Jo-hr5ui ya whatever... Its still indian... By that logic lamborghinis are argentinian😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Hi Harin, Im planning to buy himalayan. Please advise since you have owned himalayan more than 6 years.
Scram 411 is confusing me as well
I realize this is over 3 years old but it is so fresh and relevant as I just recently purchased my Himalayan and have enjoyed the versatility already, taking it up a mountain road in an area by my home that I had never ventured through before. Beautifully designed and thoughtfully carried out to production. Bravo to everyone involved and many thanks!
HEY RE: When are you guys gonna sponsor Noraly and Basanti. They are selling a lot bikes for you
So true.....she got me so hyped that I cannot wait to get mine in about a month here in Greece!
They have, she has a new bike for her America’s trip.
True
Very true.....
Im a great fan....
Noraly has done more in her adventures to recommend this bike than all the advertising budget in the world.
She is out there PROVING that this is a great bike, a bike fit to take on not just the Himalayas, but the entire Globe
You should watch Itchie Boots 36,000 KM review. You will find some long term weaknesses that your team never would be able to uncover. Use her information to build a better Himalyan. BTW...I am a big fan of your LS 400 motor. To give it much more power will cause too many other changes to make that as good a bike.
2021 model got more stable and refined engine and some extra mileage.
The best is, i buy my Himalayan in Oct. 2019. I'm so happy with this smooth ride. The best bike for me and my adventures. :)
Simply Awesome !! Who else is planning to get their hands and butts on this rugged beauty??
me!
ME !!!! GETTING ONE NEXT MONTH
i want to..but i think my will make pbm.i am just 5.4
Got one, and yes they are very awesome-
Booked it waiting for it now
Proud owner of 2016 bs3 first batch of Himalayan.
86000kms on the odometer and still going strong.
You get the best of everything in himalayan. Its simply a package, as this bike can do anything and everything what a sports bike, a commuter or a dirtbike could do.
Just because of Noraly, hope to have one soon!
The Sleet variant was already made back In 2016! With cross brace to the handle bar ...check at 1:42 sec of the video!!
Beautiful Himalayan!!! I'm a pretty sure this can be successful here in Brazil. Our market is in need a dual-propose bike between 250 and 660 cm³. After 660 all bikes are more "bigtrails" style and have a little off-road touch, unfortunately. Me for example, I have a Tenere 250, light and angile on the trails but sometimes the engine isn't enough. I really would love ride this bike here.
I think you would find it a good step up. It has a far superior instrument panel with all the information you need for serious off road adventure riding. It's simple-rugged yet reliable design get's the job done with no fuss. One of the best handling bikes I've ever ridden.
I own a XRE300 and it's the best on/off road bike in my opinion in the 250~600 cc's due to it's comfort for long travel and it's low end torque. But the price is too salty for a bike that has absolutely 0 onboard technology it is a spartan bike that can take a lot of punishment without breaking but it's almost not worth the money you pay for it. But in a small town like mine that has only one Honda dealership, is a hard choice to go with a bike that has no close support but, I'd definetly risk it with this one, it's a beauty on it's classical look and it sounds sexy as well damn...Enfield will struck oil here in Brazil with that bike.
The Himalayan is actually has more powerful and torque than the Yamaha Tenere 250 (+3.5 hp and 1, 0 kg.m), but its excessive weight (191/194 kg) makes these advantages useless, except when you’re riding at very low speeds.
Once at the roads, I also can’t see any real advantage of this bike over it’s the competition in price. Again the excessive weight charges its price.
This motorcycle is an anachronism; let’s comment a little about it.
Less than 60hp/L
It has a ridiculous pay load, weighting 191 kg and carrying only 169 kg maximum.
These are numbers from the first half of the last century!
Good luck for those that already have decided to buy one, I hope you enjoy your new bike forever, once it will be almost impossible to sell after one or two years. It’s a bike only for enthusiasts, not for normal use, as any other Royal Enfield sold outside India.
So glad I bought it. What a machine. I have nothing but a great time with it and even use my surfboard rack with it.
I've test rode one once and I can't imagine the awesomeness of the bike. It reduce the engine vibration, performance of shock absorber, handling in conering, exhaust knot, and feather touch gear and so on..... I can't expect such technology from Royal Enfield but we have one.
After a couple of GS adventures I bought one of these last week and I love it 👍🏻
Excellent job to all who's worked on this Royal Enfield. It's awesome to see something new in that product line. Kudos.
Never too late to say, "Good Job"... Good Job!
I have ridden over 40 years, have 4 x kawasaki plus 1 honda. Watching Itchy Boots convinced me I want a Himalayan. Last week bought one, Beautiful bike, RE created a stroke of genius with this bike. In a class of one. With their other new models, RE is a very respected motorcycle manufacturer here in the UK.
i own a TB 350 and just loved it and will be looking forward to the HIMALAYAN for my next bike to LEH .
Rather than trying to dominate the Himalayas...
I have owned 45 very different motorcycles since 1972, all enjoyed in different ways. This is the best one for me.
I just cant say enough thanks to RE for bringing this to life.. I waited all my life for a bike from RE which can do it all. This mostly will be my 1st brand new motorbike. Time to increase my stable to half a dozen. Just hoping that the Engine is capable enough. A 750cc however would've been more apt with plenty of torque and Horses.

Itchy boots Noraly amd basanti....💕💕💕❤❤❤
Not any more it's Ronin the Honda and not Keating. Lol. Her latest video is the worst video I've seen her do.
& Dhanno
I love my Himalayan! Perfect for all purposes. Some units sold in Brazil need a solution to resolve an issue regarding overheating and 'knocking/pinging' that some bikes have experienced.
Booked my himalayan granite black... Pretty excited to have this bike... This is my first royal enfield bike... For me himalayan is escape from material world... The feel what i got on himalayan i havnt felt it on other bike so straight away booked It.. Royal Enfield is love ❤️
I never wanted a bike until now. You guys hit it out the park!
This is my next bike.. i m waiting for a tubeless tyre version.
You can put them on your own by sealing your rim
with aloy
I sold ktm duke 390 for Himalayan and im happy.
Are you feeling the same even now?
+Ajay Kaushik yes.brother..its good bike.

Great man! But how do feel on moving to a bike just half the power of your previous bike?
+Ajay Kaushik what ever the reviews or performance chart may say.but u wont regret with this bike.at this price its very good bike.

For now I'm riding a classic 350. When its time to change, I might give this a try
I saw this bike...and immediately decided to get my license ....and join the family....I live in British Columbia Canada....and I think this is the perfect bike for this terrain....just gotta wait for the license place to re open ....and then this is gonna happen...
That's an awesome looking and sounding motorcycle which I imagine to be a capable world-class adventurer. If I could afford it, I'd buy one.
Looking for the upgraded version of Himalayan, I own a fleet of 10 Himalayans, honestly, gear shifter sucks, we have opened up two engines to sort out the piston knocking at 5,000kms. we can run it on broken tarmac as long as its not going uphill. I know its designed for dual terrain purpose but Please don't say that it can handle the complete dirt. Its still bulky. Really looking forward for the upgrade version of Himalayan. Keep the good work on flow.
Haven't encountered any issues so far at 1,000 km. Running like a sewing machine. Are you sure that somebody hasn't miss treated the bike-

It's time for 650..but obviously with better or rather competitive quality with others. Lets do it RE
wonderful 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿
Himalayan 650 we want!! And plz give fuel tank of 20litres
It should be better if RE provides switchable ABS too
Then only I'll say it as an perfect adventure tourer
Hope it will come soon
The BS6 version has that. Booking mine soon 👊🏼
The size of the wart on that guys face is just awsome. And as for the bike, if you cant afford it, finance it.. I want one.
Noraly is the only reason I am interested in buying a Himalayan.
Hope you guys are planning on Himalayan 650. I am eagerly waiting for my 650 adventure bike, Himalayan 650 will be the cherry on cake. Royal Enfield, would you please build one for the market?
wow.. i really love this bike.. i own a yamaha MT07 but i will be a test rider for sure for this himalayan in italy if the Royal Enfield of ITALY will ask to me... for sure... great job great character given to this machine by Royal Enfield
RE❤. I bought this vehicle when I was in emotionaly broken stage.. When I ride my babie.. Mood swings... And am back to normal💕.. But i have a concern.. Dear RE team.. Please do a survey, whether your beloved customer's are happie with service experience.. Very pathetic approach.. Machine is outstanding.. Please looking into its after sales process🙏.. We are ready to spend, But inreturn we need customer support also(dealerships)💪..
Hi Gokul, thank you for reaching out. We'd like to understand the problem you are facing better. Please share your contact number so we can get in touch. Thank you!
The radiator would help the engine to cool faster than oil cooling system, also the radiator maintains certain temp where the bike would be safe from over heating nd to avoid fire accidents
This bike don't have four valve oil cooling is sufficient
Im a great fan of motorcycles I need adventure in my life
I want to travel around with bikes like Harley Davidson and royal Enfield imagine traveling alone with full beard and long hairs around the world nothing more pleasurable in life like that I'm waiting for that time though I'm 17 now
Wonderfully made documentary! Waiting for a Himalayan road trip with Himalayan...
A friend of mine just bought two of them. One from himself and one for his cousin. I had never heard of this bike before.
We need this in Brazil.
Brilliant video and also the bike of course! Congrats RE!!
Truly gorgeous moto. My next I hope.
Wow! Photography is awesome! I even want one!
Thanks RE for this masterpiece ❤️
Low end Torque? 32Nm at 4000-4500 rpm. My brother pointed this out and we both agreed that with a 182kg bike the peak torque comes at a higher rpm. Meaning when we'll require the torque most, we won't be getting it. I loved the concept of the bike though. Finally there's a touring bike around 2 lakh.
I love Himalayan / i hve /love RE Himalayan bike.🤘😄
Siddhart Lal Sir, We want Re himalayan 650 BS6 complications with switchable ABS
Please Gives us soon🙏🙏🙏🙏
Regards, From Rider World
We are hoping RE ll launch it soon..
We are eagerly waiting for this beauty😍😍😍😍
It ll definitely hit top in the list of Riders
All riders talking about about..
Maan jao or dedo bhai
still gives me goosebumps
Waiting for Himalayan 450 desperately
A wonderful, great bike when it was introduced, and it's still great in some ways. However, it's been well over 5 years, it's time to add another cylinder. Your 650 Twin has shown to have great value, why couldn't you beef the frame a bit and add a little more oomf to the Big H?
Im a Royal Enfield lover and also work on them, there are many points that need improvement on the himalayan which is I'm stressing is already a very good bike, and I would start with the wheels. The first thing to improve on is the wheels, it should have tubeless tyres to start with.
I have this beast with me...it's awesome nd loving it each nd every ride I take, only draw back the engine temperature is shooting up due to summer, the city I'm in, they could have given a radiator with coolent system where these issues could have fixed, since it's a LS410 big engine, bikes like ns200, CBR 250 KTM 200 has radiator...nd the main draw back is the head lights...not powerful...60/55w there is no visibility
I'm thinking that how many times I watch this video.... 😍😍
It's my dream motorcycle and it makes me buy even more but there are some requirements that needs in this motorcycle to make it a perfect bike
1. 6 gear speed
2. Handlebar riser
3. High HP
and a bit more powerful engine
The himalayan is was my first bike.. n I still ride it.. awesome bike guys
We want to use it in city and highways too. It is a good performer on highways too. But, we need more power. Please add more power to it. My next bike will be Himalayan 2020 bs6. Hope more power will be added to an awesome machine to make it unstoppable.
So in love with this machine!! Proud of you guys!! :)Will be rushing to my nearest RE dealer for a test ride! :)
Simply phenomenal next we need RE to start building the parallel twin which is rumoured to be 750cc and I hope it'll make it the Continental GT's chassis
And now the 452 Himalayan is getting launched ❤❤❤❤... forever RE
I love Himalayan
a classic masterpiece by RE
The great feeling when I hear the sound of its engine
so many basantissss😂
itchy boots's subscriber
😜
The Miss Himalayan. :D
the title should have been basanti is born
Why don't you test drive one?
I want a RE, but I’m not buying anything until you officially sponsor Itchy Boots.
Cool, very cool. I do believe my DR650 will leave it behind though. Probably for around the same price too, maybe cheaper...
1:13 gives me goosebumps every time I watch...
One of the best video ever about my dreamer
So many people appear to want the 650cc engine fitted to the Himalayan but, for me, it does not need a bigger engine but it needs to have a larger frame. I really think that this bike is physically too small for many Europeans and Americans. It is a massive pity that this is so as it is a fantastic bike and the 411cc engine is good enough for its intended purpose. The larger frame would improve access to the cylinder head and would allow a deeper fuel tank to be fitted. You could then call it the Enfield Dakar 👍
Im fan of royal enfied,,,
I truly love with this bike... #my royal enfeild himalayan... truly
Its not just a bike...its an emotion...
Classic looks but adventurous machine that proudly build to ride...
A legend was launched in early 2016 and we knew it as Royal Enfield Himalayan.
No service upto 10,000 kms,
Himalayan: Don't worry, I am ready for the next adventure.
Himalayan 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Who else spotted a REH Sleet 1:40 ?
Really fancying one of these beautiful concept compared to the huge adv bikes (previously had a 2014 GSA LC)
Royal enfield please explore the east india
There has a lot of opportunities for travelling
Noraly is a hero
That was a good video. But my god were they laying the "freedom, adventure, ect." On thick. Still such a cool bike
YESS BIKE IS SO GOOD IT TRULY DEFINES THE WORDS "BIKE FOR ALL ROADS AND NO ROADS", Only R&D has to be improved for minor issues bike to bike if the service center/ dealers will get serious for customers it can be tackled.
The Himalayan looks great.
Is it in every Royal Enfield stores(Surat)?
I booked mine. 2019 ABS
My dream trip .. Himalaya idont know whether I can achieve or not .😥😥 . Planning to buy royal Enfield classic 350.....😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Loved the video.... actually india don't have dirt bikes and this is first off road and will buy it for sure....
Happy to be royal enfied customer😍😍
Waiting for the 650 ;)
THIS NOVEMBER I WOULD GET IT
Royal enfield can become the Harley Davidson of India. All you have to do is launch a completely new line up without comprising with the DNA of Royal Enfield but also by adding the latest and necessary technological advancements. Add a little more punch to the engine, reduce the vibrations and give good brakes with ABS. Harley 2018 line up is a perfect example of upgrade.
I would love to be a part of 'himalayan'...
its been more than year after launch of the bike and its having hell lot of issues dont understand what they did in 2 years.... Enfield will gain market if they bring upgrades to this bike and fix existing issues.
From what I've experienced so far I cannot find or have not found any issues to speak of. It's just a great dual purpose Adventure bike. Mine's on 1,000 km + and it's being tested under all sorts of conditions and terrain and it's always come out glowing. There were some issues with the 2016 model however I believe these issues were well sorted on the export model and the 2017 model's.
U have bs3 or bs4
Lot of heating issues, tubeless tyres, vibration, and other quality of parts need to be sorted out fr getting the recognition of the best offroading bike.
None of the RE bike ever have solved the problem u have mentioned above..those problems.are part of the RE package..🤣
Well Done, it seems a tough dual sport to go everywhere
Yes I own one & I love it
