HELLLLLLP! I cant get java enabled on chrome or firefox I am going nuts!
My Tip: Get more bookmark shortcuts on your Bookmark Toolbar, RIGHT-click on the Icon to open a new window, click "EDIT" and then completely remove/delete the Name. This way, it will ONLY show the ICONS on the bar without the name. Not only is it a cleaner minimalistic look and feel but you can also PACK more shortcuts on the toolbar now so it's more productive.
The dark mode is the best on chrome, and thank you for the flags Extention, I see improvements already. Thank you tech gumbo
Brilliant video TechGumbo, loads of excellent info - gonna have to rewatch it many times! I'd already done the 'auto-delete activity' one, I've now done the 'home button' & 'stop apps running in the background' ones... frustrated that the 'use secure DNS' option isn't available on my Chrome browser, maybe it's because I live outside the US.

The MYACTIVITY setting 0:50 was turned off when I looked at it. (May have taken someone else's advice a while ago.) Haven't had any issues. Sync seems to work okay, although Maps might not capture info from one device to another. No big deal. Why should I turn it on?

I'm trying to follow you on your video and do things as we go along. I don't have a provider for Chrome on the Chromebook so could that be why I'm not seeing any information on DNS?

I believe we should use ecosia and ocean hero. Because it's not like they've accounts so they can't keep much , plus for simple searches they're useful. Otherwise complex searches, Google is the go to guy

On my Chrome browser, your final points, like Send to Device, Customize aren't don't show up on mine. I'm using the most up to date version also. Any ideas why, or how I can gain those features? Thanks

Why oh why does Chrome delete the url field when I tap into it? How do I get it to just highlight the url, which then gives me the option to delete it vs. simply edit it?
Can someone help with this problem? I'm unable to view certain videos on YT and get this error, including on this video....: "This video is restricted. Try signing in with a G Suite account."

Amazing video, but, I have a problem, why Chrome change my icon web site?, example: when open Chrome in the star menu, and show me the icons page, UA-cam image is the other page recently open, I can't fix this problem, help me please, greetings.
Some of my settings are showing as 'managed by my organization'. This is true as I logged into Chrome on my work laptop, which I have since returned as I no longer work for the company. How do I remove their authorization to manage my settings?

ZERO info online to an insanely annoying new chrome desktop feature where everytime I search, google auto scrolls down to the new feature that is a pop up that says "Show more like this" beside the 3 dot "about this result" Beta thing beside each search. Hey guys if you can't click "Use secure DNS", it's probably because you (or some malware) modified chrome's registry. If you click the three dots at the top right hand corner you'll see "Managed by your organization" at the bottom. All you need to do is delete any registry (backup first) until chrome is left with the "(Default)" value. Then the "Managed by your organization" message will be gone and you're now able to enable "Use secure DNS".

I believe you only have access to that setting if you are signed in, which is BS.

Help! I followed all your instructions. Now when I go to the search bar in Google, it brings up past searches. I click the "x" to delete those searches, but they come back. I can't get rid of the searches. I want to get rid of past searches. What did I do wrong???
