If you want to follow along with the course with all the assets, you can get them here: gumroad.com/l/CWEiY Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my twitter, so follow maybe? twitter.com/oossoonngg or instagram for that matter instagram.com/oossoonngg/
When you said that 95% of your materials in Mantra were with the Principled Shader you gave me such a huge sense of relief. Excellent and much needed series of tutorials. Very well done. 10/10
Hello, I don't know if houdini parameters works as in Substance Painter but, only pure metal objects can have the metalic parameter at value of 1, the rest of metals that are not pure, the max recommended is 0.9, and for non metalics, you still can use metalic values, but not 0
This series is great. I just downloaded Houdini for the first time. Coming from being a basic blender user. Is Mantra GPU or CPU? I wonder if it can use octane.
Mantra is soon to be officially EOLed. Karma is the next thing from sidefx/Houdini. Also unless you want to do various sims, I’d suggest actually learning blender deeper.
I disagree with you Pratik, what render engines are you comparing it to? What type of scenes? What is your experience with render engines and production workflows?
@@aki_gong6271 I'm comparing with cpu renderers like arnold , vray , and corona , the level mantra provide I believe arnold also provide that too but it's fast , at same setting with same scene
@@aki_gong6271 camera aa setting , and shader basic which any render can provide like car material , glass , displacement , and this type of , anyway I'm not mantra user nor I have that much cpu power thanks for answering tho

Very happy that I found this. Can't wait to see the following Tutorials :)
Amazing. This tutorial alone opens up so much room for executable ideas. Thank you so much.

how to create shader without "metalic" parametr? I wanna shader, what will look like "spec/glossy" shader in substance painter. Not metalic/roughnes
Mantra principled shader is metal/rough based
really a good tuto! very clear for beginners!
Thanks for share your knowledge. Very useful for me. Thanks so much!
Nice intro. Will be a also nice detail talking about dielectric vs conductor when referring to Metalic ;)
nice video!!!!!!. where can i get or buy texture for houdini
Any texture will work. I suggest proceeding with the video material to get a better idea on what's what.
Thank You very much!
Great tutorial! Thank you.
That was an excellent explanation of metal bs non metal. Is Mantra an unbiased physical render engine?
Thanks for tutorial! 👍

THANK YOU FOR EXISTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
awesome, thanks x
Thanks!
can Anyone explain me , why mantra is so slow compare to other renderers ?
It is what it is - a slow renderer.

@@shastrakar1 thanks for answering, what types of scenes are you referring too? How are you matching settings and shaders?
