Thank you for your tutorial, I just started to learn houdini by myself and I was struggling to have a well understanding of the parameters, to understand how to render a sequence without killing my laptop ^^ So thanks a lot. and all your tutorials are amazing; it's always very clear, you take your time, it's a really good job
Hello! your tutorials are among the best! thanks. A quick question, can you do a tutorial on texture projection from a camera, and baking it onto the geometry in Houdini? thanks.
That's a good idea! I use Mantra to bake textures, especially baking the texture for the rubber toy test geometry in Houdini. I think that's a great idea for a next tutorial! Thanks! Because I like to use Blender to render it so it's more convenient to export the rubber toy texture into Blender for rendering.
@@bubblepins Thanks for your response. I have done a tutorial on this topic for Maya. at below link. I dont know how to do this in Houdini. ua-cam.com/video/GVS4ZspjVl0/v-deo.html
thanks a lot. Well I change the settings as you showed, but my final ipr files have 72 pixels/inch resolution, and even the size of them doesn't change and its like 500 kb. Can you help me with that, please?
I don't use ipr that often, I believe the ipr settings are using the mantra node resolution settings inside the out context. If you use the cameras for rendering, it should be using the camera resolution. Hope that helps!
Redshift has a next clicking wizard that you can click through. The installation process is quite short, not enough for a video, do you have a particular error message you see, maybe I can help with?

@@bubblepins Please, Madam, I could not understand anything from this educational video .... Can you do a new lesson and have the render with mantra from the beginning of the work to the render ....please
Sorry for the late reply again, I'm not sure why UA-cam doesn't always give me the notifications. I put your comment through google translate. Mantra is a very good rendering engine, it's only sad that it's so slow, but the new Karma rendering engine is looking very nice! I am getting addicted to karma now and I can save a few bucks by cancelling my redshift subscription.
Can you make a tutorial in RenderMan for houdini please please please...... It's faster than Mantra and free for use..... I can't afford Redshift and i don't have a good cpu. I use RenderMan without knowing what is what.. And u explain everything so good that a beginner like me was able to grasp with just watching your tutorials.... So please a RenderMan tutorial some time soon
Sure but it'll come out after the Blender one, so I'm currently working on a Houdini to Blender Cycles tutorial, because Blender has a new feature added to allow users to read vdb volumes files and render it out. After that I'll work on the Renderman one
@@Ramanantitus Yeah I'm hoping to encourage a lot of people to give Blender a try, because it's completely open source and the software has so much potential. Stay tuned!
