If you want to follow along with the course with all the assets, you can get them here: gumroad.com/l/CWEiY Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my twitter, so follow maybe? twitter.com/oossoonngg or instagram for that matter instagram.com/oossoonngg/ Be warned - around 3.45 time mark there's an annoying click which appeared only on export, for some reason Davinci Resolve is on a mission to give me a hard time this week (video exported after numerous crashes to begin with, very frustrating) Corrections: at minute 20 mark the "Squab light" does not work since I forgot to disable the shader checkmark on the geo, and geo lights inherit that information. The triangle light or any other geometry light that you will create will work just fine!
You should enable indirect sample limits. The majority of noise is not from Primary rays, but from the Indirect rays. Choking down the noise threshold using the standard limits applies this to direct and indirect. This means oversampling the direct rays for no gain in order to solve the noise in the indirect. If you enable indirect limits you now have separate control of the min/max rays plus a separate noise threshold. That means you could leave the direct noise threshold much higher, around 0.05 sometimes, while setting the indirect noise threshold to 0.001 for example, and upping the min/max to 4 & 16. This forces more rays at a minimum combined with the noise threshold to solve the indirect noise. The end result is much quicker renders as you are targeting the ray limits and noise thresholds separately.
in my opinion, this is the best serie about mantra rendering, really like this render even if it's a bit slow
keep on the good work! About time someone did a detailed Mantra tutorial series
wow best tutorials I've ever found on youtube. love your voice and the pace at which you explain. love your humor too. thank you!
These tutorials are pure gold, thanks a lot

Really appreciate this series, nice work dude!

Great stuff mate 👏🏾
Very usefull informations on how to handle noise, thank you :)
Thank you!everything is very easy to understand!
amazing tutorial, very informative.... thanks
ahahaha
mantra does not have light blockers or light decay.grid light can not focus energy (like renderman or arnold).have u try this things?
For specifics like digital doubles or archviz I'd say stick to your tools you already know (I assume that's why you are asking).
