Hello. I have only one question, i'll be glad if you answer me.. There are noise texture on the 4k plus, but what about 4k? I think it can be connected with the quantum dots technology, because they are change the light. In this case the image should be normal at 4k. But it can be the glass problem, i don't really sure...
@@irmenhild7258 There will be noise texture with matte surface. How much will depend on the actual texture so it's difficult to say. This pen display doesn't have much problem with that.
Oohh this is exciting. The price is a bit steep though (understandably of course). I would like to see a comparison to the 2021 version and the Wacom 16 Pro now, and if it's still worth buying it despite the price tag. Thank you so much!!
Can't wait for the full review. I have Kamvas 22 Pro and I was thinking about actually downsizing if there's higher resolution available, it just takes so much space.
It's so nice. You can map anything to those buttons. But if you're left-handed, you're not going to be as comfortable using it. It's definitely designed for right-handers. I wish they'd have made a left-handed version.
By the way, try Clip Studio Paint (even the trial version will do) to see what it's like to have 0% of input lag. Photoshop is the king of input lag, Affinity Photo slightly comes second (but not much compared to PS), and Clip Studio Paint is literally 0 lag. It also depends on the hardware for some people, but generally in most cases the software is to blame.
I love the slim and modern design. If only I didn't need to use the Wacom Art Pen with the barrel rotation, I'd be considering this and ditch my Cintiq 16. Now if some other company would make a similar pen with barrel rotation...
Thank you for these video reviews. On a completely black background, is there any backlight bleed? (Not IPS glow, that goes away when viewed straight on - but rather, light spilling from the edges?) I have a problem with the 4K Wacom Cintiq Pro line, as all of them have backlight bleed. I paint using full screen mode, using the whole screen, so I hate backlight bleed, which interferes with working on any dark colors of a complex painting.. Wondering if these 4k displays have this problem? I'd love to try one, but don't want to bother, if it has this problem too.
How's the feeling beetween Kamvas Pro 16, Kamvas 16 and Kamvas 13 (new versions)? I saw your previous reviews of them but i wonder how much different of texture they are. Also maybe you have a contact with Kamvas 12 Pro, i heard this one is a little too slippery.
Teoh another nice review. HUION link specific pens to specific displays on their website, but have you tried the pen supplied with this device on older displays, is it compatible and is it better than the original pen supplied with the older display. Obviously if it was people might consider pen upgrades which might be interesting because it’s obviously a relatively cheap upgrade if it works......
@@teohyc their website says no, but I know from other pen devices that pens sometimes can be used on devices which the manufacturer says won’t support them......maybe an interesting test for the future. Always enjoy your reviews!
Could you change out the cables from the Huron to a desktop computer for a longer one? It would a give little more freedom of set up if the cables were longer. Looking forward to your in depth review.
Thank you Teoh for the video. I have the KD100 and I'm having an issue when I press more than one key at the same time. I have the lower row set up for modifier keys , Ctrl, Alt, Shift and spacebar. When I press a key combination e.g Ctrl Alt spacebar it doesn't work probably. I contacted huion support but it seems like they don't understand my issue. Would you like to try to recreate the issue and maybe address it in the full review. Thanks a lot
I've just tried. Seems that pressing two buttons at one time is not working perfectly. Three buttons at a time does not work. So if you want to Ctrl+Space to zoom, Ctrl+Alt+Space to zoom out. It may be better to just input those key combos into a single button instead.
Thank you so much for your reply! Having the modifier key combos working properly would make the keydial very versatile. I hope they will fix it in future driver updates. Thanks Teoh!!
It’s kinda weird that the two 4k models still aren’t out in the Chinese market, recently arrived in China and was thinking about buying the new screen here but no luck.
is this currently a best buy compared to the quality / price? all. all the graphics tablets so far did not have this resolution and the laminated screen if not the wacom exceeding 1000 euros. i think this is a revolutionary tablet, what do you think?(i'm italian ^^)
Did you have stroke stabilisation on or something? Why is your pen lag so bad Yi? I watched a couple of other you tubers and their strokes on this 4k isn't so slow.
thank you for the review :) the reason why I don't buy this pen display is the viewing angles problem Huion doesn't seem to take care of - as can be seen clearly in 8:47 - this is for me pretty useless display for professional uses in terms of colors (each way I move the color shift as if it was a cheap old laptop display) kinda upsetting..
@@teohyc Thank you for the replay :) I mean the brightness shifts in the corners, so if you move your head while working, it changes a bit. I have a huion 20"-2019 so I been searching for it in your review :)
Only wish they would add touch support. I have the 2019 pro 16 and now don't use it much as I have a Samsung Galaxy tab S7+. The advantages of moving and zooming by touch alone can't be understated. So while the Samsung has a much smaller display, for me it's worth it for faster workflow.
Cool. I reckon it won't be able to view a smartphone to edit pictures using the lightroom mobile app. But how about using a power bank to run the screen? Will it work?
Sorry for my silly question, but will this device rely mostly on my Gpu or ram (when using photoshop especially)? I wonder if I have the specs to make it run smoothly. Also, is this still a good deal amongst the 16' screens in the market today? I've found out that this size is better for me. Thanks.
@@teohyc Thanks for the answer. Just a curious fact: in my country only the price difference between this model and the regular (16' 2021) is 500+ dollars, can you believe? So I'll stick to the regular version that costs 800+ dollars itself :/
Is the drawing experience close to ipad pro? Apart from the better resolution is the drawing experience between this one and Huion 22 plus similar or is one better? I'm trying to find a desktop monitor that is closest to ipad pro and the Cintiqs are no good because they have too much parallax.
Drawing experience is very good. At low pressure sensitivity, pen displays are usually more sensitive, including this. But my main advice is to choose based on the software you want to use. Pen displays can be used with desktop OS. You've proper file management and it's easier to work with different file formats.
Any issues connecting the keydial? I certainly am. Can't seem to have both kamvas 16 and keydial working at the same time. Seems like the drivers conflict with each other.
hi Teoh, I have an imac 27 5k mid 2015, with Thunderbolt 2 connection . Can I use this Huion with 3 to 1 cable? Can I use an hdmi to thunderbolt 2 adapter and send a 4k video signal?
You have to use the 3-to-1 cable. You can use HDMI-Thunderbolt 2 adapter. But that iMac 2015 is old and probably won't be able to drive 4K smoothly. 4K will still show, just that it won't be smooth when you are drawing. So you can expect additional lag while drawing on top of the usual input lag all pen displays have. You're not going to get optimal user experience with this 4K pen display and that iMac model.
I have problems downloading the driver to Windows 10 on my laptop. It kept saying device disconnected. Any advice? How to activate the pen? Do it require battery? I can’t open it.
Problem downloading? But device disconnected? Sounds like you have downloaded and installed the driver. My guess is it's a cable problem. Maybe connection is loose. Note that the two ports on the pen display are not interchangeable. USB-C from the 3-1 cable is for the port nearer the power button.
That lag is severe because my Macbook Pro 2015 is not powerful enough to drive 4K smoothly. I've switched to a Mac Mini 2018 for the full review (out soon) and the lag is just the usual input lag that's there with all pen displays. The Macbook Pro 2015 has more lag on top of the usual input lag.
Just a word of caution… I purchased a Pro 16 4K and it turns out it won’t support my CAD application, so I wanted to return it. HUION simply REFUSES to acknowledge the request for return. Horrible customer service. So beware, unless you ONLY use mainstream apps (like Adobe), these Pen Displays may turnout to be costly nightmare….
In my opinion the KAMVAS is much too dark and too slow in reaction.. the bezels are too thick as well for the price. Maybe a good reason to buy is the size of the usable screen
The benzels are thick so you can rest your hand at the edges. It's a feature. You only need around 90~150 nit for the color profile. The latency is good enough. It's a tool for professional, not a display for media consumption.
