Lived in Singapore for over 5 years and once lived just across Vivo City. I used to take morning walks to Sentosa from there all the way till the Southern most part of Continental Asia. Tip: if you ride the Sentosa train from Sentosa back to Vivocity, it's free. You only pay for the other way. So I'd walk to Sentosa and ride the tram going back. 👍 Hope you're enjoying Singapore.
Superb upload , if the weather holds up , dropped by Hort Park and take a leisurely stroll soaking the sights of the Southern Ridge , as for hiking you want to visit the MacRitchie Reservoir , Mt Faber Park and if you like Flora and Fauna , there is the Botanic Gardens , the grand daddy that inspired Garden by the Bay , that place was what started it all..
Tia, as a FYI, the satay sauce is also the dipping sauce for the "rice pillow". AFAIK, you were the first to eat it without the satay sauce :). You are simply adorable!
The "rice pillow" is ketupat - steamed rice wrapped in palm leaves ;). When u eat satay again, stick it together with the meat and dip it in satay sauce. It will be a different experience!
Great video as always. I'm using your channel to motivate my kid to study hard and go travelling as a reward and also convince my wife to enjoy travel on a budget.
Lau Pa Sat is cool , my dad use to work around Robinson Road but we would sometimes meet up here for either an early lunch or late lunch to beat the crowd.
I think you guys would enjoy the tour of MaZu in the spring in Taiwan if it works out in the schedule. This year’s parade is in April. Lots of walking with the parade. Lots of people. Lots of energy. Lots of free food.
Chicken and rice sounds like a fairly basic dish but man do the SEA people know how to do it proper. 🤤 Hearts out for Anthony Bourdain. A huge influence to so many vloggers, travelers and people around the world.
@@OnePackWanderers If you haven't already, check out Anthony's "A Cooks Tour" and "No Reservations". They are as just as amazing, if not more so, as Parts Unknown.
having watched the vlog, I can say that with every vlog you are getting better and better specially because it's getting longer and you talk a lot more with less b-roll. it's just getting way too good ❤❤❤❤ hopefully you try out one raw vlog soon
OMG! You guys walked by my place on the way to Sentosa! That's SO COOL! Wish I could've bumped into you two. I live on the hill right behind Church of St Teresa which you guys walked by after the flyover.
Hey, you should eat the bbq prawn whole. Meaning, crunch the shell along with the meat, as well as the head. Nothing goes to waste and the bbq shell is where the magic lies.
Best thing about this video? So recognizable: little people climb on top of all kind of things and need help to get down as they get scared easily at heights. After that they feel hungry and need to be fed. Some rice and chicken or meat on a skewer usually does the trick. If they don't: feed it to the dog. Thirsty? Preferably something fluorescent and sticky and a bit cold. Or coffee with lots of cream or milk. But so much about the granddaughter of my girlfriend. 😁😁😁 Great vid, guys. Envious, jealous even. A few more days and I'll be in a similar heaven nearby. Enjoy, stay safe and keep fed and watered. Singapore is the stopover dreams are made of. 💗💗💗👃👃👃 A world first: young American woman lost in a shopping mall. I am sure you couldn't find that on the entire internet until today. 💞😎🤪🤣🤣🤣
All of Sentosa is reclaimed land. As is the airport and everything on the sea side of Beach Rd... Oh and I think the whole area where the Sands Casino is, though that might just be drained swamp.
@@LurpakSpreadableButter Apologies, I should have done a bit more research to confirm what I had heard/assumed. Seems like it's closer to 44% reclaimed.
Tia and Cheveyo...if you're still in Singapore, I want you to go up to the bar on the top of the MBS and have a drink in what I've described as the coolest place on Earth. I know you guys keep to a budget so, if you video it, give me a shoutout, the drinks will be on me.
Prawns or shrimps refer to the same thing. Just like how a pavement and a sidewalk are. Singaporean english is a derivative of British english hence the difference.
Yay! You made it to Satay Street! And you had Tian Tian…that was the first Hainanese chicken rice i had last time i was in Singapore as well 😊 I got told that apparently stalls 7&8 on Satay street were the best ones…such a good bargain for so much!
Tiantian is Overrated. Beef satay from stall 3 is nice n juicy. Not overly charred too. I think stall 7&8 got the hype bcos they r the nearest to the main walkway. So ppl who can't be bothered to walk to other parts just stick to this stall since they r not bad?
Hahaha must have been a good beer son! You both are so cute! Happy Valentine's day you both! Tia you looked so adorable in the BIG chair! Love you both
Loving and I am so grateful for your vlog. Very inspiring and also hopeful. Please keep up your awesome work. I would honestly like to see some reviewer go hard on teh tarik/ milk tea- and get the best bang for buck and taste across the whole world.

Good that you tried stalls that didn't appear in some TV show or blog or whatever.
Oh, can just walk across to Sentosa actually.
