If you’re going to be carrying the ring light around, smaller is almost always the better choice I think the retail packaging for the 12C will also fit well into your bag
Since the tripod has a single mount, you will need to mount your camera separately i.e. on a different tripod. If your current camera tripod has multiple mounting heads in that case you can attach the light and camera both at one time.
It is always better to pay a slightly higher amount of money for a well known brand. This comes in handy when you have to make warranty claims. The cheaper products may give you similar performance but buying from a notable makes the rest of the experience more efficient.

no no that’s cool; I felt so too post filming. Also I was filming at 6PM so with how dark it gets in Pune the light performed really well; will definitely brighten it up more when I have to film next.

I don’t own the 18, but I think the 12 will be comfortable to travel with - provided you can give it good padding to above breakage

Is the stand heavy enough
The stand is definitely on the lighter side but If kept on a steady surface and propped properly, the tripod does not move at all
