Ok not gonna lie, THIS IS A BANGER.
This is one of my favorites--honest lyrics, catchy enjoyable music, solid theology--BUT when the "bagpipes" come in the only thing I can think is that REAL bagpipes sound SO MUCH BETTER than anything that can be produced electronically, and this is coming from a girl who has a LOT of Scottish blood, dancing shoes, a kilt in her closet, and I've actually heard pipe bands in church before, in the American Presybterian denomination and it was AMAZING because Scottish music is as essential to Scottish theology as water is to plants. You cannot authoritatively quote Scottish preachers and not have bagpipes in the background. True Scots won't stand for it. God save the Queen!

Kanchana Muralidhar, I am thankful that you have open eyes to see that there is something and someone above what we see. Many people today deny that and because of that, they are very far from God. Many religions claim to have the answers to what or who is out there and let me encourage you in your search by assuring you that these claims cannot all be true, and so we are left having to evaluate them and choose one. I cannot be a Christian and a Muslim. I am disqualified from being a Muslim because I believe that Jesus is God in the flesh and the Son of God. The Koran does not allow such beliefs for Muslims. I cannot be a Hindu because I believe there is only one God and that making a statue of any god is very offensive to the true God. So I could not even worship in a Hindu temple. The hard fact is we must decide. In your decision, I would encourage you to consider that if the Bible is true, then the Christian God loves you enough to lower Himself and even die for you. No other god shows self-sacrificing love for people. Check out 2 Corinthians 5:21. I hope your search goes well my friend.

@Johnny Nunley - I can see your point when the bagpipes come in towards the end, and during the end, but at the beginning of the song, I don't think it would distract too much in a church setting. Different people focus in different ways on words and sometimes and music with a bit of a swing in it helps, wouldn't you say?

When the accompaniment distracts me from the beauty of the words and melody and agitates my heart and soul in a negative way...yes, to me it is terrible and I refuse to listen to it. I prefer music that matches the lyrics, calms my heart and soothes my soul...and lifts my eyes to the Lord. Sorry, but this style of music does not do that for me. If it does that for you...be my guest.

+Johnny Nunley I'm beginning to see your point, thanks very much for the helpful reply. I think I must just prefer something more towards this kind of accompaniment going about my day to day and listening to things on UA-cam, but I think I would change quite a few things if I was coordinating the music for church. (3.15, some kind of pipe instrument comes in, most probably the pipe-organ setting on an electric keyboard I would say).
I am a Christian + a Muslim+ a Hindu so now I find that only Christians are the best as they never came in the night in Vashi nor here in Sanquelim as bad words were being used so I am sure the Queen of England will come and set things right for me. All the others Goodluck and do OM if Hindu and Muslim - Koran as usual.

Most people think that all religions are the same, but they are not. The gods they worship are very different and so are their teachings. Things are changing in the world and it is time to decide whom you will serve.

How can I worship the Lord with such noise which distracts my mind and heart from Him??! The words are beautiful as well as the melody but the accompaniment is terrible.
