the Spartan Laser is probably the only light (sort of) based weapon that kicks like a kinetic weapon, never mind the plasma projectiles of plasma-based weaponry or the "how the fuck did you manage to make light solid" hardlight Forerunner weapons.
Good catch! That's a good example of how most FPS view-model animations work by reusing the same asset. Except this one, the animator didn't provide enough time for it to finish falling, so it returns to its original position too early.

TRULY enjoyed watching this weapons showcase of Halo 4. I've said before, I'll say it again. The Assault Rifle and the Energy Sword are my MOST favorites!!! But, I also liked the Storm Rifle, SAW, and the Gravity Hammer.
Because apparently a lot of people complained back then that Halo 4 seemed far too "gritty & realistic" and not enough "sci-fi"ish which then lead to 343 hugely misinterpreting that and giving us the odd weapon sounds that are in Halo 5 that all have that "pew-pew" or a higher pitched sound in them.
Honestly. I think Halo 4 has the best sounds for all the weapons (except the Magnum). Too bad they did not use these (or similar) sounds for the weapons in Halo Infinite.
I always wonder how halo guns are fired... I mean, there's no trigger in the majority of them. Does he squeeze the gun itself or it is mentally actioned with the power of friendship??
I imagine it’s pressure based, like, when you grip it harder it fires, almost like those haptic VR hands that detect pressure, but then again I wouldn’t know
@@knightsentinel1796 the Saiyan/Covenant weapons may have a separate button for firing rather than a conventional trigger. As for the divine Forerunner weapons, they are magically operated, as they fire bolts of divine magical energy.
See? That's not that hard. The weapons are aimed as they should've been 8 years ago, makes some like the Carbine and DMR so much easier to maintain. :)

Awesome weapons but the assault rifle should come with a grenade launcher or a shotgun because everyone has a shield in the future. The railgun needed an x-ray scope it's traditional going back to eraser with arnold schwarzenegger
Funny you should mention the AR having an underslung grenade launcher, because that was actually an idea for Halo CE that was scrapped. I'm not sure why, especially since the AR in Marathon (another great trilogy by Bungie) had an underslung grenade launcher. End of the day though, Halo 4 just sucks regardless.
The shield thing is mitigated by the guns themselves, actually; lots of the guns in the Halo universe fire fairly large, powerful rounds, like the AR and DMR using 7.62mm NATO and sniper rifle using something like a 14.5mm round, all because of how good armor started to get.

The UNSC guns do have triggers, but for the Forerunner and covenant weapons, they don't.
