I always keep thinking that the original and even the new theme sound like something you would hear in a news report jingle or on infomerical in the 2000s.

This remix is so good. I love that one of the new instruments sounds like Deep Castle (Inside), and the whole thing kind of sounds like a dream world version.
Getting new upgrades and getting new badges was always the highlight of the sewer. The characters are also super delicious in terms of dialogue. Hope the next paper mario game can give me the feels like this place gave me
10/10 remix right away, I basically have no complaints with this remix, I'm not kidding. This was always one of my favorite underground areas in any Mario game, not only because of how unique it looked, but also because of the exploration aspect, it was unlike anything in any Mario game (when I played it as a kid), and honestly I don't think anything else tops the feeling this area gives me. The way they upgraded this song is great! I love how they really emphasized the oddly techno aspect of the song, and made the instruments sound even more echo-y! Someone in the comments also mentioned the use of a sitar, which I didn't know what it was until now, and I gotta say, it's an instrument that is subtly added into this song that fits perfectly! Oh and the new section is also one of those things that just fits perfectly in this track, makes it feel more space like and otherwordly, which I almost wonder if its foreshadowing for the X-Nauts? Either way, the OG was always one where I was super nostalgic for, but this version is so good! I definitely love it!!
@@canopeneranimations2766 All of them have just as many instruments as the original what're you talking about. If any, they only have one or two extra and all the remixes are amazing.
@@chrange9714 I agree. Most of the remixes I really do prefer, although the originals will always hold their charm. I think people expect too much out of remixes.
@@Gala_KM Ofc, no one ever said the original songs are bad. Not saying you said I did, I'm just talking in general. I feel like some people are either super nostalgia blind and will not accept anything new with these songs or just go in expecting them to make them never want to listen to the original songs again or something.
Not a fan of the first added background trippy element. It has a busy and grinding and repetitive feel with all that’s added and takes away from the empty ambience that the original expressed. I do like the beat drop section tho.
@@Sh_Wh Yes it is, everything about it screams "empty and ancient." The original never had an echo effect, if it did it was barely noticeable. Doesn't even need it to fit the vibe and sound great.
Honestly, it depends for me. Haven't decided which versions I like better, but I think the remake's ost perfectly fits the remake, but wouldn't fit with the original's vosuals, and vice versa.

Bro, why are you so right?
they really took the masterpiece that was the original and said
"you know what this needs? sitar."
And I think they were right
0:54 love this part so much

The whole remixed ost is so good man
Just as smooth and groovy as I remember it.
Ayyyyy a familiar face 👏👏👏👏👏
It’s HIM!
The rubberman with the stretchy arms (:

NOW THIS IS WHAT I CALL PERFECTION
Wow! This sounds a lot better with headphones on.
This whole sewer area, including this music, reminds me of the kind of level you'd see in Fancy Pants Adventures back in the day of Flash games
Honestly yeah I can see it lol
we applying to fast food wit dis one 🔥🗣️🔥🗣️🔥🗣️🔥🗣️🐄
LOVE IT!!!!
For the most part, I like the GCN version of the soundtrack, but the sewers got such a glow up here!
Does anyone else think of the Squidward dance when listening to this? 💃 🦑
the new section is so fucking good
This remix is electro while the original sounds creepy.
0:40 stardew valley type beat
It totally sounds like the one summer theme
I preferred this way more than the orginal.
I like this remix a lot,I like the original a lot, but the original sounds so wrong without the extended bit before loop now
One of the few remakes of the OG ost I like
You're the kind that would've only been happy if they didn't even bother remixing the tracks. Nostalgia bias at its finest
@@chrange9714 i kinda agree with nekaga i feel like all of the osts have WAYYYYY too many instruments and i feel like they did a little much

Finally one remake track that is actually good.
All of them are bangers
Indian version

Nothing about it sounds busy or repetitive, it sounds ancient and keeps the same empty vibe the original had.
@@chrange9714 that trippy background element isn’t empty at all. The song even lost its echo effect.

@@chrange9714 it’s trippy and psychedelic. That’s different from the echo beat vibe it had before.
@@Sh_Wh No it isn't, sounds just as good and atmospheric as the original yet enhanced with the added instruments. It's awesome
Ok, this one's a fantastic remix. Not the case with a lot of the other ones.
Shoutout to remakes that let you use the og ost (I kinda prefer the new songs from what I’ve played of the game)
Hard disagree. The other remixes sound amazing
Shoutout to the battle theme for hooktails castle and the pit of 100 trials (yes the same battle theme plays in both locations)
@@vacuumblink2300Some are great, some dont fit the vibe of the context and some others feel too distant to the original idea like glitzville
