I’m in sales, 20 year vet in corporate. From the non HR side, HR protects the bosses interests above yours, they won’t keep confidentiality, the don’t know employment law and like any role, the quality of your HR is variable. Old hands know you never speak to HR because you will become the focus. Even if HR is on your side, they will do what the boss says or get fired themselves. Not saying HR people are bad people, not at all, but they aren’t there for justice, like the rest of us, they are there to do what they are told. Don’t go into HR if you want to help people, you’ll become very unhappy the first time you’re told to get rid of someone who has a legitimate compliant.
I pretty much said this to HR but in a nastier manner and now HR goes out of their way to avoid me. My HR is for a gambling establishment so they come off as disingenuous and miserable.

My HR is for a gambling establishment so they come off as disingenuous and miserable.
Then what field to choose?
My word, you're incredibly ignorant and it shows.
@@GTFBITK HR steers clear because your toxic demeanor and questionable competence make collaboration a risky venture.
They kind of ARE bad people though, arent they?
Basically HR is doing almost no work when no recruitment is needed.
"What HR does, is throw your resume in the trash because you don't have certain buzzwords in your resume."
Changing the name back to "Personnel" would be a step in the right direction. "Human Resources" is a prevarication.
The Great video for your sharing, thanks you ,....
