Great video, very informative and visual, thank you! I have a question: what to do if you aspirate blood - do you change the carpule with a new one or do you continue to use that carpule? Is the anesthetic still effective if there is a little blood in the carpule?

Hello and thanks for watching! If you get blood in the syringe you should withdraw slightly and reorient then aspirate again. The carpule is fine and can be injected. The anesthetic won’t be affected. All the best!

Sorry for the delay. Both types of syringes work for aspirating. Research shows you'll get more positive aspirations using a manual aspirating syringe, but they both work. All the best!
