its really a must in monored. for a short time after resculpt came out, i removed abrade from my izzet deck but i even got to find a spot again so i run both
That was oppressive. It be like that sometimes though. came here to say that i still want a signed playmat, and that Mogg Salvage gets rid of an artifact.. and is usually free. It's more narrow than Abrade but, come on... its mono red. Like.. what else HAS it got except obscure mogg wizardry?? lol :D
I often say stuff like “hold on” or “I’m thinking” when I see cards like Abrupt Decay just to bluff that I have a Deflecting Swat even when I’m f6ed. It’s a great opportunity to try and scare a combo player off their gameplan for a turn by faking interaction.
Only recently found your channel, you guys do a great job! Really enjoyable and well put together. I love how you cut away midway through the games to chat about cards, misplays and what not. You have a really good rapport. Keep up the great work
I watch your content all the time while I am brewing spicy decks. Thank you guys for making such great content. I really hope you restock in the playmats soon !!!
@14:15; the Sisay, Weatherlight Captain Discord has actually been experimenting with Fynn + Bow of Nylea as a wincon for grindy games, since both are legendary and Sisay tends to play a lot of staxy hatebears. Pulls a lot of work like you guys said.
All that's left is the casually competitive upload, I've been waiting so long to see the birgi storm deck pop off. I recently pulled birgi and really want to build it
A personal experience in cedh, the first player, ( playing a mean Sen Triplets Deck ), ramps out 4 mana rocks and plays a land, and then casts a timetwister. It resolves everyone shuffles hands and Graveyards into libraries and draws 7 new cards, the first person passes with their timetwister in their GY. Second player draws, play a swamp, taps it to cast dark ritual, then proceeds to cast a trinisphere. I am the third player in turn order and I excoriate him profusely. I mention this because sometimes playing a trinisphere is a very bad idea.
Just wanted to add, that second player considered himself a good Cedh player, he was alone in thinking that. The Sen Triplets deck was known to the Pod to be a heavy mana denial, control deck. The Sen Triplets player played Sen Triplets on his second turn. So um yea that was a very dumb game, the pod conceded turn 3. I was very unhappy with the second player.
This game was cool! I had a feeling Tergrid’s biggest impact was going to be snatching up those fetches. It’s hard to mono-black in cEDH, ask Yawgmoth. Anyway METAL!! That’s all. Carry on.
Awesome video, enjoy theses games between the different content creators 🤘 Also Dylan, that orange tattoo I see on your wrist all the time, is that Arcanine?
I pulled a Birgi and wanted to build a storm deck, then here this is! One question I had was concerning Krark. I can see the upside of doubling spells, but it also seems it could fizzle the opportunity to pop off when playing wheels or rituals. Does the upside outweigh the risk? Also, I think I'll include abrade. :)
Having watched all the games, I'm further convinced the best Tergrid builds are more hand disruption and less classic stacks. More like Tinybones with Anvil, Thoughtseize, bottomless pit, etc and less Tanglewire, Winter Orb, etc. When she hits the table, you need to be making people discard or sac on their turn before you even untap.
You still want to run some Winter Orb-like effects though. The thing I've noticed when playing discard decks is that once people are hellbent, they will cast whatever they draw, regardless of how useful it currently is, meaning you tend to not get the benefits from things like Tergrid, Tiny Bones, Waste Not, etc. Holding down their mana production makes it MUCH harder for people to cast their spells and go off, leaving the cards to rot in their hands so you can discard them for benefit. Leaning more on the discard is correct, I believe, but I think you still want those other stax effects there as well for sure.
@@solidmasterdante my solution to this is build in an instant speed recurring discard effect so you can then lock people down. ie Winding Canyons, Vedalken Orrery, Necrogen Spellbomb. But if you're also relying heavily on pox and deathcloud, they may not have the lands to play their spells
Can someone please help me answer this ruling question I am playing Krark, the Thumbless and Krark, the Thumbless // Sakashima of a Thousand Faces. I copied kark so I have two krak on the Battle. My question is if I play an instance and I flip two coins in total if I lose the first filp and the second filp is win does it mean I don't return the spell and get no copies
@14:45 Jorn player discarded a bunch of cards and they didn't remember the waste not triggers? I think that could of potentially change the game, tergrid player could potentially drawn some answer or get some blocked. Big miss
i saw thumbnail and was like "damn, thats the same game... i already saw that one.. oh well, i also could give at least the view to this great channel and leave a like" after few sec a realised its a different game w/ same decks and I went crazyy
that chalice of the void was just completely ignored wasn't it? it shouldve countered carpet and deathrite, clockspinning (although that wouldve changed nothing), and crash through all in the next round. haven't'watched beyond that yet though.
4:34 Not 100% true. You are right on the basic premise, but he could also holt stuff like a copy spell (thinking about killing trinisphere or jorn) or he could just be baiting. I still know that misdirection is most likely, but saying that it can only be misdirection (or a simimar card like redirect) is not true. No front just explaining my thoughts.
I wasn't salty AT ALL this game
😂😂
we all saw how you shuffle those cards.
I showed my friend this and they put abrade back in their deck
its really a must in monored. for a short time after resculpt came out, i removed abrade from my izzet deck but i even got to find a spot again so i run both
I didn’t even notice the cursor until you pointed it out. It was just “oh yeah, there it is. Anyway” lol
+1 just for the SGA nostalgia! :D
Love the explanations and sharing of thoughts y'all have during the game. Keep up the great work fellas!

Crazy game. I love games with stax decks. Keeps everyone honest. Well almost everyone haha. Clear arch enemy this game.
I watch your content all the time while I am brewing spicy decks. Thank you guys for making such great content. I really hope you restock in the playmats soon !!!
Been watching a while, and this might be the best video you've made: great structure, good laughs, awesome commentary. Keep it up!
I see my homegirl Tergrid and I smash like. Great stuff as always

And yet another episode of the anime crossover 2/4, gonna look for the others :)
I'd love to see Jorn make a return against the usual Tymna Thrasios, Najeela etc cedh decks! Good game guys!
Loved the commentary during this one. The insight is appreciated :D
Did you guys decide who posted which game ahead of time, or did you divide them up after you played?
I think we had a rough idea, but mainly decided after we played
All that's left is the casually competitive upload, I've been waiting so long to see the birgi storm deck pop off. I recently pulled birgi and really want to build it
Playing with Tergrid is so awesome until you remember your playing over camera.

Playing with Power sent me here. I really enjoy the way your videos are edited. Kind of the shame that game wasn't steller.
That long quagmire of a game when you're pretty sure you're dead the entire time.
And then you die.
I loved Cam's shirt almost as much as I loved this vid
Don't worry Jan, I put my cursor over the one on the screen so it wasn't there for me.
Another great episode.
Keeping my eye on your play mats coming back in stock.
OMG! I love these collabs
So, this was saweet. I loved every second of this game.
Yo 4:30 Dylan's game sense is on point!
I HAAAAAAAAAATTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
The fact that when you pointed out the mouse cursor THATS ALL I SEE TOO! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Yes!
@@PlaytoWinMTG Love the content guys keep it up
HELLLL YEAH! so excited to see another great vid from you guys
15:23 i think i would have cast the sol ring and payed for the fish with floating since u had the mana
Dylan and Cam with the gutteral soliddddd
I would have LOVED to see Fynn, the Fang Bearer.
I'm loving these games!
Nice to see a New Mutants #98 - very cool - oh and the game was nice too
i would’ve liked to see koll, the forgemaster

What a deck, Jan! Nice work
Birgi’s red mana that you make doesn’t disappear as you go through phases btw

Wooow what a game...gg everyone..everyone got infected lol...keep the games coming
New to Mtg.... what was a Pokémon card energy being used for ?
And here I was, hopîng to see Orvar in action, bummer...
I want a playmat!!! Signed!!! And packaged with love!!!
Does orvar have more room to improve, I’m really excited to play with this commander and is their any changes you would make to improve him?
The Orvar player should've drawn a card of of aquatects will as Orvar has changeling
Dylan , have you considered impact tremors as another win con to go the cloudstone combo?
Just watched this. Jorn Stax is crazy
Holy shit, that old TBDM shirt is incredible.
Appreciate that, it is probably the oldest shirt I own lol
What does trinisphere do to Animar, Soul of Elements since I'm reducing the cost?
Hey guys. Video idea here:
Rule 0 the hybrid cards! If your deck has red OR black, you can play Murderous Redcap! And so on.
What do you think?
Dont you have to pay 3 when there's a trinisphere out while casting a copy of chain of vapor?
Does anyone know what sleeves Adam is using? Not sure if I missed it. @casuallyCompetitive
Tergrid gonna run away with it.
Edit: never thought about just taking sacked lands.
After you mention the curser I CANT NOT LOOK!!!!
What’s the song playing at 15:25? I’ve been looking for it for years @~@
do you have a decklist for the jorn deck?
Hey guys, your list on tcg player only has 99 cards. What's the missing card?
Music is on point! Can we get a list?
i saw thumbnail and was like "damn, thats the same game... i already saw that one.. oh well, i also could give at least the view to this great channel and leave a like" after few sec a realised its a different game w/ same decks and I went crazyy
There are 4 total games, 1 for each channel! Casually Competitive haven’t posted theirs yet.
@@PlayingWithPowerMTG yeah i checked it right after the game and Playing with power said it in the intro, bur thanks anyway))
It's so sad that the Trinisphere made this a non-game for two people, but apart from that it was a nice game!
Tergrid is the best. The artifact is a wincon in the command zone. Magus of the Coffers+Umbral Mantle+Tergrid's Lantern= everyone dies
@Ren Stimpy how?
How do you get it so the life totals are on the bottom of the screen in spell table? Or is that just editing wizardry?
Editing! I cut it up after
did jan just ignored the trinisphere during the wilderness turn? seems like no extra was paid for those 2 and 1 cmc cards
I run Fynn as a secret commander/win con in my Hapatra deck.
Another great. game "Play To Win"!
this is music!
How do you guys print your proxies and what kind of paper do you use
Also i like he channel so i want to do the patreon thing but i have never done it before how do i go about this
These colanders are definitely the best ones in the set for sure.
So mad I never ordered a play mat. Hope you guys restock
when will yor signed playmats be in stock again ?
that chalice of the void was just completely ignored wasn't it?
it shouldve countered carpet and deathrite,
clockspinning (although that wouldve changed nothing),
and crash through all in the next round.
haven't'watched beyond that yet though.
Do you think the everflowing chalice is a chalice of the void ?
There was no Chalice of the Void.
@@PlaytoWinMTG wait... oops
Well this has taught me that Birgi does NOT work how I thought she worked LOL. Thankfully I only cheated when I was goldfishing 😆
Love that Betta fish
Nice music!
My bf is super into the channel and I was wondering if yaw still had hoodies available and how long does it take to ship ( worst case scenario)
Does the heart mean yes?
nice music :D
sheesh unanswered tergrid but just 1 sac
Just sad no white commander in the snow plain. All I wanted was a white christmas.
None of the commanders are Dramatic Vega! Lol
great game, but whenever it hit Jan's turn I was just like this: : |
I need a playmat!
:)
Why is jorn casting a blue spell
No Flynthorn elves. BOOOOO
can someone explain why Sultai is only good commanders??? Like, wizards, stop making op sultai legendaries
Hard to make 'em bad when they're playing the three best colors :p
Fun game. I did fast forward to all the cut away commentary, not o fan of that feature.
They missed the best. Tibalt/valki
For the algarythem
RIP Orvar 😥
Wow, imagine not casting your commander T1 smh
Please restock signed playmats

Nice
Dude what's up with those opening hands? These guys should play lottery instead
The birgi list is 404
Should be fixed now! Thanks for the heads up, lemme know if it’s working for you now
Jorn should be pronounced "Yorn"
