- Guess what! We have encountered even more problems with our Stage 3 IS20 Octavia 1.8 TSI! As suspected, our stock ignition coils finally gave up as they just couldn't meet the needs of the tune and the new found power. So while on a drive towards one of our favourite dhabas, the ignition coils finally gave up! Want to know how we fixed this issue, watch the video to find out!

Putting it out there through the honest build videos is just for many to know they aren’t alone when they take that step to tune their car.
Kudos for just being clear and simple, It’s not the end of the world and they aren’t the first to face an issue, just have to get it fixed immediately and maintained under the best hands who’ve worked / owned the same.
More power to this build & team TDH!
🙏🙏🙏
86K kms on OEM coils!!! It was more than done hanging by strand! After the tune it just gave up..
As you are pushing more power out of your car those stock coils are not ment to support those things you should have been upgraded them as soon as you tuned it..
They don't know that much. They are amateurs with no basics. They like to learn basic lessons at high expenses for clout.
@@azzkikr3437how do you know that? How do you know we are amateurs? Did you watch the whole video? Ofcourse not.
Most people like you just like to blindly comment without the whole story. I literally said that I don't have unlimited resources and I tried to cut corners.
Your comment looks stupid to people who actually watch our videos.
The car wasn't running those coils for 86k kms! The previous owner had installed APR coils too but sold it before handing it over to me.
Those stock coils were okayish, but just couldn't keep up with the needs of the new setup.
@@SohamSaraf agree👍👍
Really like the way you guys are bringing the vulnerability piece of building a project car! Kudos for sharing these nitty-gritty stuff with your audience!
You guys are doing a great job. Keep it up. There is a reason why it's called a project car. Trial and errors are part and parcel of it.
This guy has lots to learn.
Slowly slowly 🤷.
Again, if you think we didn't know this issue would pop up, watch the whole video.
@@SohamSaraf I like your willingness to learn by making mistakes though.
Good work man! u deserve more
Just as a precaution change out your spark plugs if you haven’t to iridium cause I had faced a similar issue with my car for a stage 1 tune
That thing is a beast 😮💨
Nice drawing on intake btw 😂
Love your project cars. You guys are awesome 👍😎. It's a pleasure watching your videos😊
Works fine 💯🔥
Did fuel consumption go up after the tune and do you get good efficiency on the whole,, great build, best wishes
People need to realize that remapping and reliability do not go hand in hand!!!
I disagree to this. I have a car properly modded. IMHO it’s all how not snatching the last sweat of the parts. Hardware upgradations should go hand in hand with software upgrades.
@@gautam__j Which makes the car street illegal.
Well if its manual then it makes sense, its gearbox is biggest weak LINK. Turbo upgrade is always a RISK, need lot of ECU tuning
Just VAG life at its finest!🎉
Carry an obd11 my friend....i always carry my obd11 as my vcds and laptop I don't carry most of the time😂😂.....plus I carry an extra ignition coil ,one premix coolant and one oil cause even i own 1.8 tsi😂😂 done 110k kms still the dq200 multipack clutch is holding.....measured tolerance with vcds and it's still within the spec so🤞🤞....I would advise you to change the mechatronic fluid it's pretty easy and will help keep it in good condition!!!!
How to do mechatronic fluid change bro? My car at 60k
@@shibjoseph is your car dq200 or dq250 ??
How all wheel drive works in vrs 245
Kodiaq awd system
We need a break up cost of this build
Noob venom tuning 😂😂 3:49
?
Bro why not get a Passat rather and do all this.. that’d be subtle..xD
Thorough build LOL!
Intercooler is stock, boost pipes are stock, neither you got iridium plugs.
Spending money on unnecessary stuff like those stupid OEM wheels could be done later. Instead getting good internal parts and then getting a tune is a thorough build.
First of all, great on your part for assuming stuff 👍.
The series is not even over and you're commenting stuff like this.
The parts that you have mentioned are on its way plus, the car is already running a VRS245 IC if you haven't seen the previous episodes (ofcourse you haven't).
Also, one more thing, "stupid OEM wheels" 😂.
So you're telling me, I should have driven on those cheap fake AME replicas or whatever and risk my life?
Good set of wheels are essential for a build, sure maybe that money could have been spent elsewhere but I have no interest in going through a pothole, cracking my rim and having an accident.
All of these supporting parts like brakes, wheels and tyres are just as important.
Looks like you're the type of guy to spend only on power mods and then go crash into a tree because you were still on stock brakes .
Build n built then you tell people it's nothing but CHUMMA SHOW!!!! it's built but stock as hell then you worry about gearbox n tell people what actual problem is in this video as per view telling people about how aware you are of cars.....
This comment literally makes no sense 😂.

Bro's looking like @geekyranjit
These issues are quite cammon for a stage 3 car nothing else to complaint about the tuner or the mechanics even these things may go wrong in a stock car as well ❤️🩹
