My stage 1 tuned Octi1.8 really feels very planted at silly speeds. The Bilstein B6 struts & the Michelin PS4 really helps put the power down properly.
Yep, those Bilsteins must be making a world of difference. I'm on Sachs dampers with Euro Spec Springs, it's too soft and has too much body roll in the corners. Plus, with all that power, I need to lower it to make it more stable.
@@SohamSaraf that’s right. There is a remarkable difference pre & post bilsteins. Infact I paired my bilsteins with euro spec springs for some time , but the ride got too fidgety for my comfort
@@mohnishism No issues thus far with the DSG, mine has done about 40K. The Gen2 DQ200 gearboxes are supposedly more reliable. Especially if its used more for highway runs rather then bumper to bumper traffic
@@amitmanjul8780 Thank you! The MK3 split lights version is supposed to be more reliable. Hopefully even if it does fail the cost to repair the DSG wont be more than 1.5L.
@@timjohny3114 the power figures speak for themselves. Really underpowered 1.4 TSIs. 1.0 TSI a polo beat the Jetta because of power to weight being better on the polo. Watch it for yourself
I would say remove the Venom tune and go for a milder tune, yes the horsepower will drop down but it would be usable horsepower. Remember in Initial D when Ryosuke bumped down the power of his FC from 340 to 260 because that amount of power is unnecessary? The same thing is happening here, put a Stage 2 tune and it would be more usable and not slide around
Boss, the horsepower is not the problem 🤦. It is the torque curve that is creating loads of wheelspin in lower RPMs and that is because of the turbo mainly, not the tune. The IS20 turbo is known for low end power delivery thus creating this issue. I will have to switch to an IS38 which will give me a more linear torque curve and also more power at the same time but that means I'll have to get a HPFP and many other supporting mods
The problem you are facing the octy getting all over the road while applying the brakes is the brake setup which you are running get back with oem or change the brake setup you are running because oem brakes on point but he disk wears out and after some time it has a coller or a lip on edges where brake pads (brake pad material is very hard) aren't touching. I have driven octavia with stock oem brakes they are very good after getting aftermarket brakes the car gets all over the place on high speed it looses the confidence of the driver themself.
I'm not facing any problem with braking bro 😅. My brakes are fantastic, the car is going all over the road while accelerating at full throttle. My brakes are upgraded to OEM+ VRS245 brakes, the pads, rotors are brand new.
Speakers if I am not wrong inside a car are a passive unit, so I don't understand how it can't be compatible with any head unit Or there is some DSP in between which is not compatible with the other head unit wrt connectors being different, etc ?
What about an lsd , expensive but it will make it a lot controlable and predictable and a bilstien b4/6 shockers not the springs to increase the stiffness and better sway bars
We recommend it as long as you can maintain it. Yes, the DSG is troublesome and generally all parts are on the expensive side but it makes for an awesome car! Super nice to drive and if ever you want, can become into a monster of a tuner car!
@@TheDriversHub thank you for the quick reply! Appreciate it. How can one maintain it? I am guessing the cost to fix it would be around 1.5L? Thats acceptable if it doesnt fail after that. Yes i would want to get it stage 1 tuned.

i think the car needs a 4x4 system conversion for better traction and handling
