What are your thoughts on fake Zippos?

Also to be “politically correct”there were some exclusive and special brass Zippo finishes prior to 1982. (Through Marlboro and other companies)
However, generally speaking, Zippo recognizes 1982 as the release date for brass finishes (hence the 2022 40th anniversary of brass finish Zippo)

Hey I have a question, I have this Vietnam era zippo id wanna buy but I wanna make sure its real. Could I maybe email you some pictures and can you help me authenticate them.
Like Vietnam era zippo does look real but its full brass. Im assuming the chrome wore off Caus it doesnt look like a clean brass finish

full brass Vietnam could be a giveaway of a fake, but there may be a very slim chance it could be authentic.

Is it common to have the bottom text upside down when hinge is on the left? Like on that first "Proud to be Irish" Zippo. Never seen a flipped one like that before.
