You tube sent me here because i follow Nick, however this was the best podcast I've heard with Nick including his own! Grest job and im a new subscriber
I've been mentioning HYROX on all Nick's platforms for a while. Glad to see he's finally taking the step into a sport that I feel really suits him. The fact that he's already getting attention from elite 15 members, Greg Williams, and other influencers shows that they are eager to see his potential as much as I am. I'll be at Dallas as well, looking forward to seeing him and Hunter battle it out.
@@c1wh really? When did he say this? This must have been recent cause he said he was doing Dallas when he was in Amsterdam on his IG livestream unless something changed from then till now.
@TheLadc5 yeah, I think it must have changed. Watched Hunter's jock talk the other day and towards the end, he mentioned that he wasn't. Sounded mainly due to hosting Battle Bunker so soon before
with increasing popularity/price money/drug testing in Hyrox , i believe the heavier guys will drop off from the Elite 15 and we will see faster running times. ( just my opinion ) . Great interview!
This could get really ugly for Nick if he races sub 60 and then has to do a test. I think it’s important to recognise that clean, professional athletes and lifestyle entrepreneurs like Nick are two very different things and should be compared as it will create false expectations from mass population. Bit tired of the lack of honesty around these individuals that push supplements that have little to zero impact in comparison to their hormone stack. Always support people pushing their limits but if doing it dirty, you need to be upfront.
Bud you must not truely follow Nicks content. The man has the utmost integrity and Id be willing to bet my paycheck hes never touched a PED in his life. Hes been insanely consistent and hard working for well over a decade and it shows. Hes documented every aspect of his life for over 10 years and theres nothing in all that content that would elude to him taking any steroids. You dont know Nick and you dont know steroids if youre insinuating that hes dirty.
No man he's got a massive financial incentive and desire to push performance and all the resources to do it. He's deadlifted 700lbs and was a very large bodybuilding. He did a bodybuilding show which was untested btw and won it! He ran an unreal 2:39 marathon which is just above a 6min per mile pace much larger than any runners there. You're naive to think he's a lifetime natural and not interested in doing whatever it takes to push his performance. Everything he does is focused on that and he has every reason to. I guarantee he's not a lifetime natural. At the very least he's doing things to optimize himself and his hormones included, that's just his personality. If he gets into drug tested competition perhaps that'll be a reason and something to deter him and others in HYROX but there will always be those trying to find ways around it. @@erickosmicki7812If he is a lifetime natural I would be shocked and I would feel bad thinking all along he wasn't but with a ton of knowledge and experience I've seen this story so many times.
@@erickosmicki7812 I don't believe what you are saying to be true, I believe it's naive perspective with almost every guy like him to be using - in the sense of lifestyle vloggers that push supplements. Fortunately we will find out if Nick wants to have his time registered against Elite 15 qualification.
Make no mistake: Nick’s gonna crush it in Dallas and even as a first try-out he’s easily going sub-60. And if he gets a taste for it, it’s gonna disrupt the Elite 15. 💯
I like to see the little guy win once in awhile. Not these rich elites that can buy performance nowadays. Makes me sad for others trying to make a new career and life for themselves.
If it's to be the best version of you and not about the competing with others why not just set up a hyrox simulation at your gym and do it there? Why not just try and run your sub 3 hour marathon on your own outside of a race?
Ah but theres nothing like the competition, at a real event, surrounded by others, and the music, and the MC, etc to bring out the best of you. I know for myself that theres no way I can push myself in a sim at the gym like I can on race day. Plus Im sure he can afford the entry fee anyway so why not race?!
@@roxlyfe I agree 100% but the reason competing floor brings the best from people is the competition part. The crowd and other racers push you because you don't want to be last. I'm all for competing I just find it hilarious when people who enter competitions and say it's only me vs. me. If it truly was you wouldn't be putting yourself in that environment. To me it's a mind trick we tell ourselves so if we don't finish in the position we were hoping we can fall back on oh well I personally got better today. Competition is good and brings the best out of us because deep down none of us want to be last.
The dude works out twice a day and has been for years. Not everyone in great shape are on gear. That is just something lazy uncommitted people say to make an excuse for lack of discipline.
@sheltonmorris2536 I'm neither lazy or uncommitted. I'm a lot faster runner than Bare, and still 88kg, not small. You seem like a real simp for Bare, I'm guessing you juice too. I'm also guessing I'm much faster than you too.

Unfortunately Hunter mentioned that he won't be competing at Dallas... Was excited to see that battle too!

Will see how Nick does in the Hyrox looking forward to it
Love the nuance of go one more. I hadn’t considered it as an outcome.

Cant wait to see how he does!
Easily 👀
There are quite a few comments about Nick in Hyrox on Hunter McIntyre’s channel. I’m not going to quote them.
Why not? lol curious. They use to train together and were friends I thought? 🤔
Quote them
Give me a D, give me an R, give me a U, give me a G, give me an S!
Quote them for meeeee
Superb!
Thank you!
my WHY? Because I want to be better today than I was yesterday.
Could he be in the mix I think so can he win Meh I don’t think so but I’d like to see it
Train Hard. Recover Better
Will Hunter McIntyre be in Dallas?
That's what Ive heard but I dont know for certain. Rich Ryan and Ryan Kent are there as well I believe.
Maybe he will get tested….pretty sure hyrox has an anti-doping policy now
Hyrox lmao. Something weekend warriors do and think they are elite athketes 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Plus man talks about things like hes a world champion
I don’t know as much about Hyrox but Nick is a hard worker and I think he’ll crush. As long as he doesn’t start too fast I think he’ll do pretty good
I don't think you realise how much of an animal this man is
I'm guessing he's aiming for sub 60 minutes

At least he's in the 1% of the world in fitness even if he came off, what are you, just a commentator
