Thank you for your feedback. It is optional, not necessary, to remove the shroud. It is a matter of personal preference. I walk you through changing the oil and taking off the shroud and putting it back on in my video for a few different reasons. The ability to see anything out of place beneath the engine, prevent oil from spilling over the shroud, and having greater space with which to work with my hands are a few of the reasons. You shouldn't have to take that whole shroud of. Ther are fasteners on those covers!
Why in heavens name did you remove the whole shroud? Do you not undertsand what thos covers hiding filter and drain are???????
