      @@Soundwave3591 What is not fitting, is to see a flawed design, advanced as some sort of "alternate reality as political commentary," as if the powers that be, quashed sound technology. The Do 31 got a fair run at development and like many early jump/jets, was just too weak. It's undoing were the lift pods and those would have had to go.
      Seeing an image of that looming monster over their heads evokes the idea, "gawd, could a super Reich that defeated the Western powers, have been stupid enough to cram that design through?" Not a freaking chance. Some weird alternate reality where Nazi's won and those weak ass little RB-162's could lift more than their own weight...

      tbh, it was kinda sloppy..? say we assume the direction of from the pointman's POV as forward (so using his right/left hand as opposed to the viewer's):
      1st man did the right thing sweeping this blindspot to his right first
      but 2nd man shouldnt assume that just because 1st man probably vision swept forward and left that its clear and instead he should've did what 1st man did but to his left. also his weapon should've been already raised and pointed just over the 1st man's shoulder even before he enters the barn, like 1st man. man 1 and 2 basically has to be almost mirroring each other.
      man 1 and 2 should keep their sectors as the lady does not seem like an immediate threat in the time frame the entire team entered the barn so:
      man 3 then could keep forward sector, disarm the lady while man 4 keeps his gun trained on the lady while 3 disarms.
      or you can also have 1st man disarm if man 3 can take up 1's sector like what he did, but the fact that they have 2-3 man train their guns on the lady and not the sectors they're supposed to be watching is rather complacent. and complacency is what gets you killed in cqc.
      but I just judged this based on what I can guess the rest of the out-of-shot parts of the barn looked like and I assume theres much more space and blindspots left of the door.

John Smith should have found a way to escape to a parallel universe where he lives out his life as a reformed Nazi, maybe even loving his wife and his life. I would have liked a dialogue with Juliana, where Smith explained that he didn't want to do this anymore, that he had said a different version of his life and wanted to live that version instead.
    This nonsense of people crossing universes at mass at large is nonsense. The man in the high castle also escaping to a parallel universe would have been nice. Then finally perhaps just destroying the parallel jumping portal. Then end.

      From what I understand, Amazon pulled the plug prematurely and the writers weren't expecting that. They wrote the show to end properly in 5 seasons I think. Then, when Amazon said they weren't going to get renewed, they just scrambled to fit a season's worth of a finale into a handful of episodes.
      It's an amazing and very interesting show. But they seriously dropped the ball with the final season, especially the finale. If the finale was at least okay, I think that would have improved season 4.

    • @marcomaus349
      @marcomaus349 3 роки тому

      @zikkimeister In this case, the DO-31 is also a failure because it was a development of west germany.

    • @terranempire2
      @terranempire2 3 роки тому +3

      @zikkimeister HK was founded by Mauser engineers. The MP5 uses the same 9mm round the Germans adopted for the broom handle. The MP5 also uses the Roller delayed roller lock action that was developed by Mauser late war in the Stg45. In our timeline post war Mauser engineers went to Spain for CETME where they developed the rifle that became the basis of the G3 which was scaled down to MP5. In High castle it would probably be the Mauser MP5. With Germany adopting the STG45 in a more refined form closer to the G3 spin offs.
      The Do31 is much more interesting as it used Rolls Royce Pegasus engines.

      @erwin669 3 роки тому +1

      Probably. H&K is a German company, but it probably would be made by Mauser since H&K was the result of the Mauser company having all its assets confiscated at the end of WW2. I was surprised to learn that the MP-5 was designed in the 1960s. I always remember it being the quintessential 90s gun.

      Well, the plane is a Dornier Do 31, which had it's real life maiden flight in 1967. If you take into account that in this series (Nazi) Germany won the war and didn't have to spent 5 years under occupation rebuilding it's infrastructure, it's plausible that they finished the development of the plane 5 years earlier, which would be exactly 1962, which is when the series takes place.
