Box UK have the black one for £99.99, white £104.99 and blue £119.99 with free delivery.
That's very useful info. The weird thing is that Montech does not list Box as one of their two UK outlets.
Leo
@@KitGuruTechyeap, I just bought the black from Box after watching your review yesterday, I think the price is good for what it is, I am not super into Aestethics, but honestly for the price I think this one looks great.
My only concern is the separation with the side panel and the GPU I have a 4090 been using the adapter no problems so far (open case) but I think there is not enough clearance there, I will see.
@@Hoytehablode Good find, had no idea - ill have to go hunting now!
@@Hoytehablode I'd recommend getting a proper cable and ditching the adapter, not only will it look cleaner but easier to fit as well
Amazon UK, I got the Black version for £78.22p Bargain
I just bought this case, it's wonderful !
I can't believe it offers that many features and great quality for its price.
Where did you buy it from ?
It's always good news when Leo is reviewing a case because you are going to get to see a cool build take place.
And your right.. it's sexy AF
I love his cold humour
just got the blue one today. cant wait to finish my build. thank you for the video, very helpful.
I've purchased this case and look forward to building with it. As previously commenented Box UK have stock and having checked the serial number my fan hub is the revised build. Great video which will make my build a lot easier. Many tanks.👍
Thank you for the video. Just picked up the back one from Microcenter yesterday, excited to build in it!
My weekend is complete with a Leo case review ! good review too so far ! seems like a mighty fan case, lets hope they have the controller fixed for release ! never seen them sold ANYWHERE in my country !
Awesome job leo, that system looks great - the gpu and mobo/ram combo worked fantastic !
That was a cracking looking build - can't get over how big that 4080 GB card is mind you - didnt look so big in Dominic review - its great seeing it in a real world environment with so many close ups. Might be an idea to put this into more of your GPU reviews, inside the system, rather than just b roll
Wow! what a case! I saw this for $83 in Norway and just had to get it. Lian li is way over my budget, so this one is just perfect.
Leo's elegant yet busy hand gestures are something to behold.
I still like the fractal pop series for a few bucks less but this case is super compelling. Very thorough review. This case is a contender at its price.
Great review ...thanks 👍
Looking forward to a Phanteks NV7 case review 😊
A leo case review at the weekend - thanks !
Montech makes a solid budget case.
Got my AirX rgb as it was the only case i could get on white when the pandemic started.
Definitely a budget case compared to the Fearful case I came from, but lots of features for the price!
I love this case!
I just built in the blue version. It was a bit more than I had planned to spend, but I really love the color. Now I need to figure out how to get my MB to control the RGB
If I'm correct you should connect the rgb controller to the motherboard RGB header and then the motherboard software should pick it up. Otherwise get a better rgb controller like he used in this build
Anything available in colors other than white and black immediately is much more interesting than everything else. Sadly the blue version isn't even listed here in Germany yet, with the black and white ones apparently being available starting on Feb 17
Decent looking case that!
Great review. Should it become available in the UK, I'll be recommending it. Next time, please mention that the fans are PWM straight off.
You mentioned that the MSI motherboard has the x16 slot two slots down. That excites me: do you still have a Nofan CR95 cooler knocking around? I'm wondering if it will fit a LGA 1700 socket and cool a low power 13th gen CPU when you have a GPU installed.
I'm feeling encouraged 🤣
that looks like a gem to build in
I have this air cooler Base version, without rgb, i7 13700k and the same case. When I use blender it reachs 99c. I have to choose another cooler for this processor using this case?
I tried to import a Montech case from Asia after seeing some good reviews - including one at Kitguru. Only place I could find it. took 2 months to arrive and the box had a bash and the frame was bent, so I guess someone dropped it in transit.
Leo has the best pc case reviews.
Really like this case, just did a build in it. HOWEVER, I had a couple of issues mostly related to clearances. Using a 360 AIO which it says it supports, radiator and fans are within the limits they indicate they support. Clearance for the EPS cables is extremely tight, almost impossible whether using custom sleeved cables or the PSU cables. Similarly, the bend required for the 24 pin power cable is very tight. Even with sleeved cables that are very flexible. The other issue then is space for cable management in the back. With cables extensions, it's managable, but difficult to get the back of the case on. This case would be perfect IF it were just a little longer and a little wider with just a shade more space in the back for cable management. It wouldn't have to be much, but right now it is fine for air cooling, but difficult for a 360 AIO. I wouldn't even try a 280; a 240 would work, but I prefer 360. For right around $100 or just a little over, you can get a more roomier case without these issues.
Last place I seen have it, was Amazon and it's* just under $120 for the dark case, use to be less and available at other places till the Hyte Y40 released.
If you have customers you will soon know Montech. They are without a doubt one of the best cost to utility case brands on the market, you can feel secure your customers will be happy and issue free while keeping the cost lower but still profitable and far cooler and better looking than standard SSI and big box store offers. Their fans are not duds and maybe not the quietest fans out there they won't sound like a jetliner in your PC space.
Incredulous😍😍
😒👍 Very Noice, I would just change out the fans for a more traditional argb case fan that has white blades and the ledee are on the hub, gives off a ton more light
hey KitGurus, is that quote at the end by Robert M Persig actually by Robert M Pirsig (of Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance fame)?
can never find them to buy, but another decent looking case from the brand I can never find
Tempted to grab the blue one, it looks so nice and different! It's for sale at 79.99 at CCL right now! Seems like the prices have dropped.
Should the two top fans be intake or outtake?
This guy is the best
The fourth fan can interfere with bottom mounted cables (like usb 3) on full size atx motherboards.
I lik ether look of the MSI board, however that slot puts that car in a very low position, lucky on that case it has an intake fan under it. would that be a problem in that scenario if it did not have lower intake fan ? good that it it creates more space between the CPU cooler and the card though. wish some cases has the option to life the board higher from the bottom of the case, especially the you want to mount the GPU in a vertical GPU riser.
Finally an Nvidiaq 4080 in a case build. That thing is a monster!
This " HUFUNGUS " Rtx 4080 is the good word.... plus he did thisbreview with a freezing 16° ... thats a warrior
Very good my friend but the case has an USB-C port at the Front Pannel and the Motherboard has the USB-E connector on it.
Why don´t you use these interface?
anyone know how to control the fans cheaper than buying a Corsair commander por
Cool that MSI have made the m.2 screwless but how often are you going to be hot swapping an m.2?
It's not so much hot swapping as avoiding the hassle of installing the heat sink with two tiny screws when the motherboard is inside your case.
Leo
I’m still sold on lancool 216 or lancool 3. Just can’t decide yet
I've built a few of their cases. They're not bad. Definitely the best value you'll find for the price in most cases. You have to be mindful that not ALL Montech cases come with controllable fans. Many come with rainbow vomit only.
Rainbow vomit lol 😂
Was waiting for the studio lights to dim as the power was sucked out of the room into tha 4080 when you switched it on.
Here in the UK we have mighty 240V supply - so hurrah for that
Your reviews are so thorough, thanks. I recently bought the Montech and I have a 7900X, cooled by a Thermalright Frost Spirit 140. Temps are all fine but I'm struggling with a strange noise coming from the case, it almost sounds like a whislting wind - less whistle and more ghost "woo" sound, like a ringing sound. It's really annoying and I haven't figured it out. I do think it's coming from the montech case fans. When I unplugged them the computer was pretty quiet, and I didn't notice this odd sound. I need to investigate more. I'm considering changing them out. I really don't mind fan noise, but this whirring/ringing/'woo sound (and it changes) is unbearable.
Are the side fans in full load? It blows to side glass.
nice review thx
i got the case in black i payed 75 Euro i will see^^
Mesh in metal?
Can the CPU cooler handle a i7 13700k?
what if I use 4070 ti super and 77800 3d? Would the temperature be about the same or higher?
That would be just fine. Get a decent cpu cooler and (phantom spirit, etc) and you're golden.
I got this case recently from my local microcenter - and while I like the looks/the accessibility I also have the issue with the fan hub and the fans running at max speed. Montech needs to fix this asap! There is a reddit post I found and they recently said they will fix it... but this should have been properly tested/fixed before it hit the shelves. Other youtube reviews also mention the issue

@@madragonse they did send me a new board and while it is better it is still weird with the rpm control of the fans .... but that issue could also be caused by the stupid software from asus - armoury crate or whatever they call it
Hi there, can I put my PC on the side to lay flat on the desk to prevent gpu sagging instead of putting it following the normal orientation ? I did try vertical mount the GPU but my CPU air cooler is taking all the the spare space, so nothing will fit, will the PC work normally if I just lay it flat down on my PC desk ? I have Corsair 4000D Air flow and a really heavy GPU, a simple GPU stick support bracket won't help it at all since I can still see gpu pcb being a little flex.
doesnt really sound like a very good idea for airflow, as heat will rise upwards into the 'side of the case' spreading outwards. how bad is the sag?
does not sound like a good idea. might be better getting one of the new cases which allows you to mount the GPU vertically upwards.
Yeah id agree. not sure thats a good idea at all
Thermaltake core p3 pro sounds like what you need
@@iamahappybunny7640 Yes, it's horrible, I just bought it about a month ago and also use some kind support stick bracket to help with the weight but some how I can see the pcb being a little bit flex and doesn't come in a straight line anymore.
Nice to see an Intel build which will run reasonable cool compared to those new Ryzens.
Once you begin to take it apart you can see the cost cutting thats gone into it.
I completely forgot this video was about the Montech Sky 2 case. Lol
£145 now amazon I used for customer builds but prices have sky rocketed, no pun.
So adjustable anti-sag GPU brackets are the order of the day.
Yes indeed - it can be tricky to avoid them looking like a child's construction kit but some vertical slide is required IMO

Wait, what, your kids don't watch our reviews? for shame!

Amazon UK, I got the Black version for £78.22p Bargain
Can it fits Noctua NH D15 cpu cooler ?
I was wondering the same, with the Sky Two cpu air cooler clearance specifications showing 168 mm and the NH-D15 having 165 mm in height it should theoretically work.
@@therealbdbeatz yaa that's right
Seen them listed in america, no where else. seems like hunting for a unicorn online to find one.
I could tell the PSU would be expensive - the cables come in their own fancy branded bag. Swish!
Leo's reviews are good, he does seem to lack a bit of mechanical sympathy :)
...and yet, miraculously, no pieces go pinging across the room
Leo
I mean every case company has a side and front panel pretty much now. So judging Montech by that isn’t fair. Glass panels are the standard pretty much. You can only make a case so different without going over a 100 dollar price tag.
I really dislike those fans. I like the base.
One might wonder why we have to save power by changing out our house lighting from inefficient incandescent lights to LED bulbs, only to waste that energy trying to keep cool a gaming PC with screaming fans and liquid cooled components.
Dat GPU tho
Whos using HDDs inside his PC? Im using only external - speeds now are great and you can disconnect them ❤
The reason why if it's $100.00 in the US and £100.00 in the UK is because the US Price is Excluding Sales Tax which can be up to 25%...!!! So $100.00 would be +/- $125.00 And £100.00 equals about $125.00. Capische!
The white is £71.99 now. Tempted.

Slow down Leo you're always in such a rush!
Good pace for me !
You appreciate the video is 17 minutes long!
Leo
I dont know why but i fiend him funny
Side intake mesh looks terrible and probably causes extra noise.
Quite a few teething problems with this build.
I give it a no at this price as it's more expensive than the brilliant Lian Li LANCOOL 216.
wow the LGBT light
MR Bean
The graphics card is stupidly too big ...
The Zotac 3070ti is nearly 14 inch long! But not 3 slots thick
That case is worth about $40.00 USD. You would have to be.crazy to pay over $100.00 for that.
Are you mad ? The fans alone must be worth 25.
@@johnerikson2443 bro montech is a trash company
