6:35 mountain roads or roads in cold climate suffer from "telehiv" or frost heave. A phenomenon where differential frost heaving can crack road surfaces, contributing to springtime pothole formations etc. Does not matter if the surface is new or not.
It's difficult to drive anywhere in that part of norway without having to stop every 5 mins to look at the scenery. It is all jaw-dropping. It would be interesting to see an overview map of your route, if you have time to make one up.
Great video. I lived in Norway for 20+ years, then in the South of Spain, spend most of my time in California now. Very different driving experiences, as you can imagine. This was a nice watch.
@@MDrives I was in Iceland last year, we drove around the whole island in two weeks in a camper. Loved the nature so much and also that it does not get dark in the summer months. And the upper part of Norway is as much north as Iceland. Yeah, no volcanic stuff in Norway but still, it's on my list now. Thanks and looking forward to the next video.
Looks amazing! I am originally from Sweden, any chance you have that trip mapped out in GPS that you can send me? I’d love to follow in your footsteps and do that trip with my brother when I go home next time.
@@MDrives it is not allowed. It was a media story of this. Norwegian trafic regulation says no stopping inn tunnels. Even though many stops there for the great photography reasons. But if you are caught you are fined like 1000 euros. I Like your videos very much, having driven all of theese myself. The only sad thing about driving here is the extremely low speed limits, much police with speed cameras, high fines from 500 euros an up. And of course the slow trafic in front makes it difficult to enjoy some streches of road. Point is you dont need M cars because of this. I did my trip in a van, but i would love to have done it in a M6

Well, the roads at Norway were fantastic. Best I experienced in any country.
This is the best so far! Really enjoyed that. Incredible views and that last road looks spectacular.

Thanks for a cool video and sweet rides. As a Norwegian, its so fun to see foreigners appreciate our country, as we some times takes for granted.
Thank you. It’s absolutely beautiful. People are too busy living their lives sometimes to look around and appreciate it.

Watched your last couple Norway videos and WOW, just WOW! Looking forward to the next one. Norway is now definitely on the list for a road trip.
Thanks! Tbh I never associated Norway with a great driving destination but luckily my colleagues showed me I was wrong.

I will make a video on the route. I don’t have gps data as I was just following my companions who planned it.
@@MDrives have you driven the Dolomites in Italy? I am thinking about doing that for my next trip.

Nice
Thanks. Regards 👋
How many kilometers has your bmw clocked when you so comfortable doing so many road trips with it?
And greetings from South Africa🇿🇦
I’ll surprise you. 60k. I use it only for fun driving. It’s parked and not moving mon-fri.
Gaularfjellet.
Not sure what you referring to but thanks for your comment 😅👋
I don't think you are supposed to stop in the tunnell.
Really? We thought that’s what these chambers were for. 😅
Of couse you can.
@@MDrives You are absolutely right. Many are a little scared of driving such a long tunnell (the longest in the world) and might need to have a break
