    **CORRECTION**
Philippine's Population is around 113.80 Million
India's population is around 1.4 Billion
    #filipinova #virtualassistant #virtualassistantjobs
If you're looking to outsource business process operations, you might be wondering which country is best for the job. Both the Philippines and India offer a range of advantages and disadvantages.
    Outsourcing Philippines Vs India
Which country should you outsource to for your business? India or the Philippines? We'll explore what each of these countries has to offer, and how they stack up against one another.
For years, the Philippines has been a popular choice for outsourcing due to its strategic
location and low costs. From strong English skills that can be easily converted into any other language with just one lesson per week (depending on where they live), accent neutrality when communicating in person or over phone lines from countries such as America which have very distinct speech patterns; Filipinos offer customer-facing positions excellent communication along with soft skill sets like organizational abilities needed by most companies today. The Indian industry still reigns supreme though - but not because their culture makes them better able negotiators--the lower cost plays an important role too!

I am from the Philippines and I exactly know what you mean. I had a problem with my Verizon monthly cell phone bill and the operator connected me to the accounting department. At first I said to myself, wow this woman’s voice was very soothing and I can feel that she really care and wanted to help the way she sounded on the phone. Lo and behold , I heard some slight Filipino words at the background . Then I knew it was in the Philippines. I had no idea that the person I was talking to was from the Philippines. Perfect American Accent . I’ve been here in America almost my whole life and I can easily detect when an American person speak but on this occasion I was tricked . I was really impressed. So I spoke in Tagalog to this woman and she laughed and answered me in couple Tagalog words and told me that they can NOT speak Tagalog even if they are speaking to a fellow Filipino. India 🇮🇳 before was the front runner in a country being outsourced . But right now, the Philippines 🇵🇭 is giving India a run for their money . A lot of big companies here in the USA used to outsourced in India before. But since the Philippines English speaking abilities , Filipino accents are very much understandable compared to the accent of India. To be honest I’m really having a hard time understanding the way India speak English not because of grammar but it’s their accent. As if they have a hot marble stones rolling inside their mouth when they speak . But Philippines accent is a very friendly and easily understandable all over the world and the way we use our vowels like in America you say the vowel A is - Eyy and in the Philippines the vowel A is - Ahh As of now Philippines already considered the number 1 country where a lot of big American companies have outsourced ex: Chase Bank, AT&T , Verizon , Google , Facebook, Wells Fargo, Nike , IBM , American Express. These are only a few of big American companies who outsourced in the Philippines 🇵🇭

A run for their money is pretty exaggerated. India has an edge over other industries with higher IT skills. Most of the Tech biggest companies' CEO in the US right now is predominated by Indians, and they all started out in temp jobs. As a Filipino, I really have high regards for the Indian friends Ive met in Sweden who were down-to-earth people but were actually earning 50 times higher income more than me because of their tech skills. If BPO is like a restaurant food chain, saying it is like saying the Philippines is giving India a run for its money by taking all the burger-flipping positions when Indians are taking over as the CEO of the fast food corporate global chain. India has an advantage over the Philippines with their hardcore advanced skills in web development, AI, machine learning, software engineering, etc etc. The Philippines only have customer service positions or tech support. thats a big difference!

"More western in culture" is an understatement. Education in the school didn't put emphasis on it and thus at times fail to recognize that "western" is also a great part of their heritage. Consider Ferdinand Magellan a Portugese who discovered the islands along with his mixed European sailing crews( some French on it) and laid claim for about 350 years under Spain(1621-1898). Big (grazie!) thank you to his Italian scribe Antonio Pigafetta who put the country in the world map, into the light and out of the unknown world. In between were three years of successful British occupation , three failed intermittent Dutch invasion to gain control, Belgians trying to buy out the islands and German attempts to supply arm to Filipino independence revolutionaries. Most importantly Philippine was taken under the American mantle of protection under the 1898 Treaty of Paris as unincorporated US territory (colony 1898- 4th of July 1946). It was then the country inherited the great American legacy of English speaking which the country is usefully enjoying right now.

Actually Northeastern part of India has good English accent. But the companies dont give us opportunity much due to the fact that we look like Southeast Asian or Chinese and also the fact that they want to give the opportunity to their people only. If all the Northeast people (especially Nagaland) gets the opportunity, India can be at top. Just go and watch ''Northeast Indian cypher'' on youtube and you will get the idea on how different our accent is from mainland Indians. Mainland Indians always discriminate us on every ground and never give us fair opportunity. Never let us win any National competition. Always eliminate us, even if one is worthy of the title or position. Just cause they want the winner to be a mainland Indian.

here in the UK, most call centers that I've experienced are with Indian accent and some of them are quite difficult to understand (nothing against India, I have many Indian friends) maybe that's why more BPO companies shifted to the PH but technical wise, I think, India is very strong with that.. they have lots of smart computer geeks but PH is not far behind as well.

Employees should be given premium considering that it's a bargain outsourcing to the Philippines because of cheaper cost. It's greediness on their part if they will not give it to them, noting that if it's an american company it means it's a night time shift so they should be given hazard pay as well.
