Mind blowing is appropriate when describing this performance. I can only imagine how the people who attended this particular show were captivated beyond words. Definitely could hear a pin drop. Mind blowing for sure.
Absolutely the best live performance I have ever seen in my entire life!! So powerful, emotional, epic! Hands down! I have watched it many many times, never gets old. His voice is so pure.
This is definitely one of the best cover versions of all time. They certainly made it their own. Even the writer, Paul Simon, commented that he did this song justice and probably added a few more dollars to his bank account. For context, I believe that you should listen to the original version, probably the studio version, to see how Disturbed changed it.
Its even more amazing when you realize he was sick that day, that's why he's sitting down. the producers or somebody decided to use autotune that night and when he found out he was pissed. He never uses auto tune
Hey girl. This song is so hypnotizing. The proof of this, is the reaction of the crowd in this video. If you notice, not one person in the crowd. Makes any kind of noice. Until a split second after the song ends. It takes the whole crowd that long to come out of it, and applaud. I truly enjoy your reaction videos. Because you're so sincere. Take care girl.
this version of Sounds of Silence is so powerful it’s beyond amazing, Great choice and excellent taste in music, thank you for sharing such a great song with us.
I'm a grandma now i remember the original very well but this version is so beautiful for one reason , a message... its about our country's going to war ..our babbies having to fight for corrupt goverments , even when we know it's wrong but not being given a choice 😢
Hmm I always thought it was people not listening to each other emotionally but I guess that can be taken into war if countries are not listening to each other and getting along then it can apply to that too I suppose
To keep the record straight -- not a cold, BUT THE FLU, he almost didn't make it, piano player told him the only way it would happen, is if he sat down!! His temperature was in the 100's!!!! Also, Conan himself, later said that this was the only performance EVER on his show that every single employee stopped their duties and came to witness this performance --- truly amazing....
@donleonhart274 In the 100's? That can kill you! I had a temperature of 105 one time. I thought I was gonna die. Sweating beads perfusev and a migraine! Muscle aches too! I was bed ridden for almost a week.
Rumor has it Mr. Draiman was not feeling well that night (head cold, or allergy, or some such) and wasn't sure he should perform. He made the right choice.
He wasn't recovering from the Flu, he was still sick with the flu, stuffed up, congested and had a fever of 102°.. David is a BEAST and his voice is pure gold 🔥❤️🔥❤️
Simon & Garfunkel did original, but their studio version of 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' is epic. Their 'Scarborough Fair' is also classic, as well as Sounds of Silence.
Hi when u first said live performance I was hoping the one were he had Myles Kennedy come up at a concert and sign with him. Mind blowing and yes you should do the original I now you appreciate the classic 60 70ies it so much different in a good way. Thanks Ola you are one of my favorite music reactors That's cute the way you fan girl and you're genuine.Happy Easter 🐇❤😊
Great Reaction.... Happy Easter..... Definately Check Out the Original by Simon and Garfunkel....... Disturbed recently released a Song, "Don't Tell Me" with Ann Wilson (Lead Singer from Heart).....
I always thought he was describing the world through the view of s deaf person, and then a friend told me he is describing the silence after the atomic bombs.
ooooh please check out the version Corvyx did of this, it's different and isn't pretending to be like the original or this one, he's put his spin on it. Thanks!
The energy of this song is like a sonic explosion that engulfs you. A suggestion as well! Nick Thurl Mavromatis' new song is on a whole other level. You should react to his new song! 🔥
Your review are very mature and real. Would like to see your review of Home Free “Man of Constant SOrrow”. A brilliant cover. I am now subscribing to your cast
If you know you are listening to a cover, it’s always best to listen to the original, if you can. Then you can judge whether or not the cover was respectful of the original
I will always prefer the original by Simon and Garfunkel, but I absolutely love this version. Arguably one of the best covers ever done. To think David Draiman was suffering from the flu during this live performance is mind boggling. He was furious the sound crew used auto tune for a brief second when they thought he needed their assistance.
This is a good version, but to get the best experience see the original version in black and white, not on this tv show. in this one he has cold/flu and it'd not as good :)
dont check out the original version , its happy folk music, you are not missing anything, if you was to listen to the original you would cry from disappointment
The first verse in the album version is a whispered voice though. I wouldnt doubt there's a bit of autotune on there in case he has a tough time, being sick but I don't notice it.
Draiman makes this song sound like the big boy version that match the lyrics instead of the original S&G bubble gum original. Kinda wierd how that happens being interpreted even better by a cover....least imo.
Mind blowing is appropriate when describing this performance. I can only imagine how the people who attended this particular show were captivated beyond words. Definitely could hear a pin drop. Mind blowing for sure.
I would've cried
Absolutely the best live performance I have ever seen in my entire life!! So powerful, emotional, epic! Hands down! I have watched it many many times, never gets old. His voice is so pure.
Actually David Draiman had the flu... David still killed this!!! 🤘❤️
Wow Right? A Goose bumps performance
I struggle to watch this version because it makes me cry because it’s so beautiful.
This is definitely one of the best cover versions of all time. They certainly made it their own. Even the writer, Paul Simon, commented that he did this song justice and probably added a few more dollars to his bank account.

THANK YOU!! Great reaction
Your respectful silence paid tribute to your love for this song.

Amazing performance 👏 I think this is one of the best covers I've ever listened to ❤
The live-duet with him and Myles Kennedy is even better in my opinion!😊
David Draiman had the flu when he did this performance! David still killed this!! ❤🤘
This live performance was truely epic!! As your reactions clearly expressed. Thank you for your reaction, I enjoyed it¡
This version DEFINITELY better than the studio version!
Great cover !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
David(lead singer) had a cold at the time which made it more nasally which just enhanced his voice. He has such amazing vocals

He's sitting on a stool because he couldn't perform standing. He was that sick.
@donleonhart274 In the 100's? That can kill you! I had a temperature of 105 one time. I thought I was gonna die. Sweating beads perfusev and a migraine! Muscle aches too! I was bed ridden for almost a week.
This male vocal is up there with my fav male vocal of all time Joe Cocker at Woodstock 1969 With A Little Help From My Friends

Great Reaction as always
Best cover-version.
The original song is from1964.
Excellent reaction so powerful later beautiful.❤️😎🇺🇸
Blew it right out of the water…💕👍
I always thought he was describing the world through the view of s deaf person, and then a friend told me he is describing the silence after the atomic bombs.
They should re-release this version as a single.
ooooh please check out the version Corvyx did of this, it's different and isn't pretending to be like the original or this one, he's put his spin on it. Thanks!

3:30 “his voice is so powerful”……….ooooooh just hang on for another minute kiddo!
You have to watch the video
he was ill during this performance thats why he is sat down
He also had a cold when he did this live
Not many people know that he had the flu at the time and will never be able to repeat that performance again
He is one talented Jew! He had the flu that day too!!!
I don't know how David did that because he had a terrible cold that night.
Hey, please react to "In any tongue" Live Pompeii by David Gilmour, there isn’t many reactions out there but it’s very emotional 🙏
Do Disturbed's THE LIGHT
I heard he was sick at the time. Wow.
It's kind of freely how she looks exactly like a younger Ariel Winter....
😮

Now treat yourself and listen to the original!
Forget that listen to the original by Simon & Garfunkel.
It's not live...David is too perfect🥴🤦singing is playback
The first verse in the album version is a whispered voice though.
I wouldnt doubt there's a bit of autotune on there in case he has a tough time, being sick but I don't notice it.
Nice reaction. Not a fan of their cover of this.
