OMG. I just realized that I know the original version from Simon & Garfunkel which is a total classic!! I could not even recognize the song because this cover was like a completely different song!! How creative and what an amazing arrangement.. Gosh I love it.
my 16 year old daughter showed me this video, and I didn't want to hurt her feelings, but I was like, " nobody is going to top Simon and Garfunkel. " I endured the first 20 seconds or so, thinking, "well this is way too slow," but then that angelic voice broke through in the first key change. By the end of the song I couldn't talk because I was choking back tears, and every time I hear this song it has the same effect on me. This singer taps into my soul and releases all of my sorrowful frustration. He is a genius.
"This singer taps into my soul and releases all of my sorrowful frustration" ang on Amy. This is why I'd like this played at my funeral; this and Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb.
@@danmccarthy7038 I watch for the looks on people's faces too. I have a bunch of downloaded videos of the surprised look on people's faces. Their words work when the song ends priceless too. One guy who had this wide-eyed look on his face the whole song, when it ended could only say "fuck me". Another very prim and proper woman that her parents only let her listen to classical music when she was growing up, belted out, "HOLY fuck", When she got done bristling to the song.
I'm a Senior Citizen and remember the original version very well and always loved it. I will suggest that TOGETHER Simon and Garfunkel and Disturbed have created a Masterpiece. S&G wrote those lyrics that tore at our hearts in the 60s and still do today. Disturbed delivers those lyrics with the power and passion they deserve. Together, it's a Masterpiece.
There are a number of songs that the original writer/singer did a good job but the remake/cover is all people remember. Disturbed with the Sound of silence is one of those along with Whitney Huston I will always love you and Johnny Cash Hurt.
His voice begins like a gentle rain with looming clouds on the horizon, builds slowly to a down pour, crescendos into a raging storm, then finally gives us a little peak of the sun as the rain eases back to a gentle mist.
I am nearly 77 years old, all music drives me, it can have me bouncing off the walls or sobbing my heart out. Disturbed's 'Sound of Silence' shredded me and crying. I am open verse poet, emotion is a very powerful thing and my poems reflect that. Thank You. X
I've fallen in love with reaction videos and your format is such a breath of fresh air. Letting the entire song play through and adding your thoughts in text instead of stopping and reacting really lets you get lost in the song's mood. Love it.
David was taught as a Cantor, He had the Flu and almost did not go on that night! Years later my wife and I still get chill bumps from this song! S& G was about what was to come, David's is we should have listen to them!!
Couldn't agree more. The time spent on editing in her thoughts instead of talking over the video and then going the extra mile to cut in video at the end. This was a excellent reaction video. Probably the best and I've watched just about all of them.
I hope not cause this is how reactions should be done...short little mental notes with a summary after..i listened to dozens of reactions of this song and ur like one of 3 i subed to after watching
Simon and Garfunkel wrote those lyrics to describe the turmoil of the world in the 60's. It's about the segregation, marches and demonstrations that carried on... All sides wanted to be heard and no one would listen. And lo and behold, 50 years later, it comes again...
I have found that the majority of people listen but don't hear music. Many songs touch my soul. Not because of the beat but because of the lyrics. I have felt the heart of the artist through their lyrics.
David Draiman is a classically-trained cantor from Chicago, who proceeded to take the metal band, Disturbed, on a wonderful ride, and Paul Simon (the song's writer) was so impressed by this cover that he actually put a link to the cover on his own social media.
i've listened to this dozens of times, and i usually tear up... David is an amazing talent and his voice and delivery of the message , combined with the fantastic musicians are a powerful combination .. i can't get enough of it sometimes
I hate to tell ya but I been doing this UA-cam reactor thing for years and you will always be in minority in that. MOST have heard song they click on many times and this is their version of a remix...they there more for commentary than or as much as song...and Im not disagreeing just saying what I've found..like on rap reactors LaidBack is the guy that does this and about every other does usual...they building a brand and most people that gravitate to reactions think the other way...I bet my life most people agree with you but reaction channels type people generally do oppo. I save my reactors in folders by this. Sorry for the book just typing right along as I listen to this nice woman talk godspeed blessings in 2021
Exactly the same reason I subscribed. So many other "reactors" seem more anxious to put their two cents in than they do to actually react to the songs they are analyzing. It is so refreshing to watch someone absorb and viscerally react to the song the way you did, @Sabina, and it did not go unnoticed.
This was the best performance of the best cover of one of the best songwriter's songs ever. David's range and vocal qualities, and the way he built the song, along with the orchestration, is one for the ages.
I grew up with Simon & Garfunkel...and I refused to listen to a heavy metal musician sing any song by them. But when I did listen, I was so overcome with emotion. I think I've watched about 15 or 20 reaction videos by now. I'm totally addicted.
The first time I ever heard Disturbed's version of this song, I was completely blown away and could not stop listening to it. I was in tears because it was so beautiful, so powerful, so majestic. This version is everything that the original version needed.
I have watched and listened to this version several dozen times. And it gets me every. single. time. Yes, goosebumps and tears whenever i see this. For me, this is the *best* cover of *any* song i have ever heard. Period. This performance was truly something *magic* .
NICE reaction video, No interruptions, just listening to the artist, THEN comments. It keeps the mood, and allows the viewers to follow the emotions with you. Flowing with the song.
Chills every time I here it. We have been warned. Not once, but twice, with the same song. This one more aggressive for a reason. And love the reaction!
The original Simon and Garfunkel was a warning, This version is the pissed off that people didn't hear the warning. You felt it... I cry every time... I get chills... it really fits the lyrics... the passion pain and emotions
I love it, love it, love it. Usually Disturbed doesn’t make that type of music I’m listening but this cover is even better than the original and he is killing it. Truly amazing.
IMHO this is how a reaction video should be presented, allow the music to play and caption your initial thoughts then go back to the parts you wish to discuss. Subbed purely on that basis. as for the song, I personally think it is not only one of the greatest live performances of all time but one of the greatest cover versions of any song ever.
Letting the video play through will get many reviews blocked by YT for copywright issues, but I like this style of review too. Subtitles for initial thoughts while not interupting is perfect. Then talk to us with snippets from the video to show your points, brilliant. SUB'd Thank you. May your reviews sneak past the (c) freaks and make it to your audience unabridged.
Having been a great Simon & Garfunkel fan for over 50 years I was skeptical when I saw this cover of one of my all time favorite songs but I am surprised. This gentleman certainly did justice to this classic. Thanks for introducing me to a rare happening, a great cover of an already classic song.
It was a hit when it came out years ago. But because of the way Simon and Garfunkel sung the original, people assumed it was in the same alternative sound. This song, from the beginning, needed to be HEARD. When I saw it, when it was first released, I was blown off my couch. I too expected something else. David was so mesmerising, I didn’t want to take my eyes off him. I loved it so much , I sent it to my friends on all the SMS. The reason why it is still going strong is people had to be convinced to listen to it with prejudice ( expecting it to be S&G). As more and more people saw it, the popularity grew. This is one of the only songs that hit multi-millions of views THROUGH WORD OF MOUTH. Someone got blown away and told someone else, who told their friends, who then told their friends, etc. It will go down as a classic, the same way the original did, except it has a whole new meaning. The catchy music of S&G didn’t really allow a person to understand the depth of the words. David, starting slow, and building gradually into the peak, took us with him. You heard the words. You recognized the warning, and you witnessed the rage because man just didn’t listen, so now, years later, we are a society engrossed in our cell phones, our SMS sites. We don’t talk with each other. We don’t communicate with each other. We are instead, worshipping technology. Technology wasn’t bad. It was how humans allowed it to affect them that was dangerous, and a threat. Simon and Garfunkel sounded the warning, Disturbed gives us the sadness mixed with rage because we just didn’t hear.
Dear Sabina 🌷 this singer totally transformed the classic S&G song. I like how in the beginning his voice has a meditative quality and then he builds it up into a passionate rawness. Amazing performance, the musicians were incredible. I enjoyed the video very much. 💕
Wow is the first word out of my mouth every time I watch other people hear this song for the first time. I'll *never* get enough of watching people react to this song - either version.
I am a fan of Simon & Garfunkel who originally released the song in 1964. The song had a powerful affect on me. I was skeptical of Disturbed doing it. I really love their version. He puts so much passion into it.
I love Simon & Garfunkel!! But I did not know this song. I'll have to give it a listen! And yes, so much passion, and I love the roughness of his voice!
I have heard the name Disturbed lately and didn't think I would be interested since I heard he is heavy metal. Gosh, you have changed my mind. Please react to more of him. He sounded as if he was singing the story of his life. His voice pierced me. Thanks so much. (Patricia, Jerry's wife)
I listen to everything from Bach to screamo viking death metal, and if you thought you wouldn't like a song because it was metal, you need to broaden your horizons. Some of the deepest songs I have heard were metal. Some of the most beautiful instrumentals I have heard were metal.
You really need to get some Nightwish in your life. Symphonic metal and a lead singer like no other. Try 'Ghost Love Score' live from Wacken, it'll open your eyes to what's out there, trust me on this!
This is probably the best cover of any song I've heard in my life. Just keep in mind that this song is not representative of their overall style. They are a Metal band. They're awesome.
Your video is well done and appreciated, so many people stop the video and share their opinion instead of watching it all the way through. What I love about the song is that he takes you through a journey with blows highs and then he kills it with the fry. That is what it's called when he uses that horse voice
Viking indeed! This is the feel this song always wanted and needed. This pushed the message of the lyric much better than the light-hearted original version. No umbridge to Simon & Garfunkle, they were a great band and performed it in a way that fit the industry and in a way that it would be accepted at the time it was originally released.
I grew up listening to S&G. Sound of Silence was on their premier album, I believe, with only a guitar. It was later released on another album, but a heavier version. I always liked the original, first, version. David takes this song to a whole new level. This song always was a classic. Now, it is much, much more. It is an anthem.
His vocal control whenever he switches from pitch to a different pitch amazingly ties this song into a story different from the original Simon & Garfunkel that was more upbeat. It's two different songs with the same words.
This one of my absolute favorite renditions of the the original Simon and Garfunkel song. Ya a few years old, like over 50. I enjoy your method for your reviews. The text on screen is far better than stopping the music. I like your channel. Thanks.
To understand one of the reasons this version of "Sound of Silence" was so remarkable is because of the stark contrast from the band's normal songs. Their most well known songs are probably "Down with Sickness" and "Stupify". When they first sang this song they weren't at all sure how their fans would react, but they loved it just as much as everyone else, if not more so, and now it is a staple during their performances.
Disturbed’s version hits all your musical senses…You see it, feel it, and hear it all in a powerful crescendo into finally uniting the music with the musicians…Brilliant! Thanks for your well felt, honest, uninterrupted reaction! I love watching reaction videos of songs that move my soul…However, this cover by ‘Disturbed’ is always stopped for reaction just as it’s building to a new level…99% of male reactors do this, and I have to be honest and descriptive here (wives will understand what I mean🫢)… It’s like the act of physical love being expressed and you are in a rhythmic flow toward a beautiful climax and suddenly… your 6 yo. is knocking on the bedroom door…🙄🫤 Thanks for not answering the door! 🦋Lily🦋
Love the touch of the guitar on it. The noah's Ark at the end. Singing at the end: whisppppppperrrr in the sound of silence. --- I could list to this doing forever ❤
David Draiman was sick the night of this performance, which makes it that much more epic. Paul Simon saw the performance and actually posted it on his social media. He also contacted the band to congratulate them on it. Conan earlier this year announced this is the first video from his show with over 100 million views. Btw I loved the fact you didn't interrupt the song or talk over it and allowed us to see the reactions from your face while you described what you were feeling throughout the song via text at the bottom of the screen. I wish more reactors would do this before their debriefing at the end. Keep up the excellent work!
Actually the voice wasn't much different from when he is healthy (check out the studio version of the song). That's what made me an instant fan. Cheers!
Reactors don't do that because it's an easy way to get copyright struck and banned from youtube. They HAVE to pause and talk to get in under "fair use."
@@carlotta4th I'm afraid it's only a matter of time until she's on the radar, which is a bummer because I love this style reaction. What needs to happen is a royalty system like radio and tv stations pay. Then everyone gets something. The content creators get to make cool and interesting vids, the artists and copywrite holders get paid plus their stuff gets new exposure and may be permanently added to peoples ipods or movie collections giving them even more cashola.
@@Jedi4Life-u5y It's slightly different, you can hear it when he sings "take my arms."The "tay" in take my arms he sings through his nose and mouth,if that makes sense. It's kinda blocked because he's stuffy in the nose so he can't go full out on the exhale.
I have always liked this Simon & Garfunkel song so when I came across it by the group Disturbed, I listened. I did not know what to expect. Well this singer took this song to a totally new level. It totally blew me away. I had serious goosebumps. I have read some commentary say that S&G gave us a message years ago and now this version displays anger and sadness at how we have not heeded the message.i believe that to be true. The Disturbed version has a much more powerful intensity to this message .He draws you in with that deep voice then he hits you with that roughness in his voice showing us the error of our ways. I have never had such an intense emotional reaction to a song. Without a doubt, he takes this song to another level. The cover video with the layout, the black and Grey images and the drums take the video into another stratosphere. Superbly done.
I really like your reactions because you don't constantly stop the video to give your opinions. THANK YOU very much for the respect you pay to the artist.
the subdued instruments in the beginning half allow to listen and get invested in the meaning and the 2nd half takes you on a journey.....powerful song and a powerful version
My grandaughter introduced me to this song quite some time ago. I have loved Disturbing for a long while. Love his voice. It would be cool if he would do something of his own. In this type of sound. Most of his music is pretty heavy metal. But he outshines the sun, in this performance! It is hauntingly beautiful! Everything about it is perfection!
I personally believe that S&G version was a lament as you said as well as a warning of what will happen if society continues as it was. Disturbed also a warning, in the beginning, but at the end was rage, as slat613 said, and a "Look at what you've done!!" directed at us, society, because of how physically disconnected (nothing to do with covid) and distant we have all become.
He was actually sick with the flu during this Conan performance. He is a classically trained vocalist that turned to rock about mid-stream. He’s a god talent.
Subscribed on this reaction. The most vital factor in being absorbed into your reaction, so deeply that it is like hearing the music for the first time, is watching your eyes. I fell into your eyes as you experienced this performance. Even before the music began I was arrested by your eyes. That may sound like flattery, please don't take it that way. Your eyes are amazing, but I'm talking about their expressiveness. One of the great moments of truth and poetry in the gospels is Matthew's statement, "The eye is the lamp of the body." Your lamp is a light in these dark and depressing times. Thank you.
Sabina just did a very respectful reaction of this magnificent performance and she is a class act. Occasional text comments that mirrored her facial expressions were the only "interruptions." I think about 99% of the reactions videos on UA-cam are all about the reviewers and I don't want to remain "silent" about it. Eating, sipping on straws of drinks, shouting during the music, bad over-acting; all ridiculous. This is a true reaction/review video. I'm clicking a thumbs up and subscribing. Thank you Sabina.
J'ai grandie avec cette chanson première écoute à l'âge de 10 ans je n'ai jamais entendue une version aussi magnifique que cette version elle est aussi bonne que l'original
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Appreciate your respect for his performance and thoughtful comments. Look forward to more from both of you.
The song is actually Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel and this particular cover is done by David Draiman, a specially trained (Cantor) vocalist from the band called Disturbed. The song was written by Paul Simon and originally released in September 1965. 😊
Thank you for a great review of this song.... you didn’t interrupt every 5 seconds to tell me about his breathing and how it impressed you. You watched to the end. David ha a awesome voice.... check out Disturbeds other stuff..... enjoy.
The song is very old - Simon and Garfunkel from about 1965 or so. The lyrics take on very different meaning in this cover. The lyrics become very moving. David Draiman has been classically trained to be a cantor most of his teen and adult years, so he has top notch vocal control, pitch, phrasing etc. His band mates are virtuosos like he is, just on instruments. They’ve been together for a really long time singing raw heavy metal. But for the last 10 years they have been toying with getting back to acoustic performances or orchestrated ballads. The Sound pf Silence e courage them to get together and actually write and compose all together in one place until they were done rather than sending their music files to one another. It turned out to be genius and allows them to rediscover the live collaboration they used to do when they were younger. So Draiman has always been known for his virtuoso operatic baritone voice...thankfully he is so well trained over the years that his vocal fries, that powerful “Odin” rasp he’s known for, is something he taught himself to do using his facial and throat muscles - in front of his vocal cords, not behind, so the air in his chest is fried in his face and not part of his chest voice. When you watch the official video, watch his face. It changes. Two songs from their new Album “Evolution” are more like ballads. One is about keeping memories, and the other is about forgiving yourself. Apparently it has had a great impact on people who are deeply depressed and saved them from taking their lives The two cuts above are:”Hold on to memories” and “A reason to fight”. He sings in a more typical baritone register. Enjoy! Jeg er glad for, at du fandt dem! (My cousins are Danish...live on Fyn)❤️
David Draiman made one subtle lyric change from the original. He changed "And the sign flashed out its warning" to "And the sign LASHED out its warning." A small change, but a powerful one, and one that fits this version of the song very well.
une chanson des années 70 interprété d'une très très belle manière.... woooowwwww!!!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 merci de nous faire découvrir cet artiste . personnellement je ne le connaissais pas
Hello from New Jersey, USA. You're a pleasure to watch and congratulations on the success of your channel. I'm a73 year old man, raised through the 60's along with the incredible range of music that took place during that decade. I, of course, heard the original acoustic Simon & Garfunkel version in 1964, followed by the electric/rock version in 1965. It quickly became a classic, as did many of S&G songs such as Mrs. Robinson, I Am A rock, Scarborough Fair/Canticle, etc. The Disturbed version is of another dimension however. I do believe this version has directly gotten a "thumbs up" from Paul Simon, which is a tribute unto itself. I believe the song has routinely been interpreted as a statement of poor or no communication that had been clearly growing between peoples. I agree to some extend but my real feelings about the poetry is a two fold analysis. I believe the first half is explaining the lose of communication and interaction among humans and the hardening of the inner spirit and the exclusion of everything, including God. While the second half is God calling out to all, reaching for us, telling us that the "words of the prophets are written on the subway walls and tenement halls" (for those who have never been in big U.S. inner cities, there is always a wealth of spray paint scrawling about repenting, listening, warning, etc. on subway (train) cars and run down apartment building walls). I grew up in New York City, I know these writings well. God's voice is gentle but firm, and whispers his message into the sounds of silence. David's last verse shows the pain and despair that this message is portraying, almost begging us to listen. A very, very powerful poem and an amazing cover of a classic. I've watch 20, perhaps 30 of these First Reaction videos and all but one, have had identical reactions as you've showed here (only one music teacher, who made it clear before even hearing this version that there was never going to an other version for her beyond the original). The setting, lighting, acoustics and the superb musicians only accentuated David's amazing presentation. His voice deserved that perfection and he got it from all around hm. Thanks for your reactions. They were honest and heartfelt. Regards to all.
I loved your reaction to this song. When you mentioned how "grounded" he was while performing, and intensely expressing the meaning of the lyrics, not just the words...well, it instantly triggered thoughts of another performer who has the same traits, but a completely different style. She is a young Norwegian lady, Aurora. Her songs are intense and beautiful. Many of them have deeper meanings involving issues that face the entire world populace, and she finds a way to evoke feelings in the listener...and thought. Two of the songs that I would suggest for your first exposure to her are "Through the Eyes of a Child" (Live at Nidarosdomen) and her live performance of David Bowie's song "Life on Mars". After that, there are many, many more to explore. Along with Floor Jansen (whom you have already heard) and Morissette Amon, fill me with joy, inspiration and hope...and fill my ears with beautiful music.
A song and a text that melts all the vulnerabilities, that brings you fearlessly to your human essence. I loved and still love the original version of Simon & Garfunkel that modeled my and our soul as teenagers and our spirits that craved to make this world a sublime place to live. This version brought tears to my eyes by realizing how much fear and lack of communication keeps us away from one another. When will we able to look into somebodies' eyes and say I really love your courage to be what are you displaying in your behavior? Then this song will be our Anthem.
I have to say this is the *absolutely best* reaction video, edited *perfectly* ! Putting your thoughts in text instead of interrupting constantly and talking all over the video. You are *the very best, smartest, and most sensitive* reviewer ever. I wish everyone did it this way. Thank you, thank you!!!
perfect method to react to anything not pausing and posting short message when having to say something. Going back to the song with a balance of song in the background and stating your opinion. Props to you Sabina.
#Sabina UA-cam just put your channel on my suggested videos playlist this morning, and I love how you let the whole song play before commenting! I remember the original song by Simon and Garfunkel from when I was a boy back in the 1960's. I believe my older brother had the album, so I imagine I have heard the song many, many times. I like a lot Disturbed's song's, "The Light" and a newer song titled "Hold Onto Memories" is very uplifting and encouraging. The title gives away what the song is about....and I think you would enjoy it as you get to hear more of David's voice in an acoustic atmosphere.
Hello my little Viking princess. Quite possibly the greatest cover of all time. It moved me to tears the first time I heard it. It’s the first time I actually listened to and thought about the words. Check out disturbed down with the sickness if you want to see David’s incredible range. Big hugs doll face. God bless. Or should I say oden bless. Xxoox
HI Sabina, I watched your video of Dimash doing QAIRAN ELIM. I was a bit stunned. You looked absolutely gorgeous ! Wow, Wow , Wow, Wow, WOW, Hair makeup an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10 . You looked fantastic !! Whoa Need to keep that up. Just Wow
Hi Sabina. Like you, I saw this as a recommendation. I don't follow metal but I love this song. It's iconic for Simon & Garfunkel. So I listened & was amazed. David's voice has so many sides to it - raspy & raw, soft, almost gentle, powerful & driven. He really gets the message across for this song. For me, the timpani are the stars of the music as they add so much drama to an already dramatic performance.
YES!! Well said. I felt the same way... Besides the fact that I did not even recognize the song because the cover was so different from the original! :D
This is a cover from Simon and Garfunkel, I was fan of in my youth. But this cover version is really an enrichment, because it is so different from the original in its character. In Germany it was played quite a couple of times every day on the radio. I don`t really listen to the radio except in my car. Every time I drove my car this song was played and I sang the second voice to the lead melody with him. Even when I arrived I didn`t exit, but waited until this song finished. It`s really a great cover version. And I`m enjoying it every time I hear it.
OMG. I just realized that I know the original version from Simon & Garfunkel which is a total classic!! I could not even recognize the song because this cover was like a completely different song!! How creative and what an amazing arrangement.. Gosh I love it.
You should watch the official music video. It is stunning, all black and white, and symbolic. And then listen to their song "Stupify." :)
I myself think of Simon and Garfunkel version as a profits prediction and Disturb is the profit angry because no one listened

@Bosuns Mate Hahaha, I know, right?? The song is a CLASSIC.
my 16 year old daughter showed me this video, and I didn't want to hurt her feelings, but I was like, " nobody is going to top Simon and Garfunkel.
I second that🥇🏆
"This singer taps into my soul and releases all of my sorrowful frustration" ang on Amy. This is why I'd like this played at my funeral; this and Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb.
I've watched as many reactions to this as possible. Both because they're my favorite band, but the looks on people's faces is just great to watch!

Thank u for not stopping every 15 second to talk about the song like other UA-camrs. Just listen and comment at the end.
My pleasure!
@@sabina1118 welcome. Subscribed. 😊
Yes
I will NEVER get tired of listening to this cover!!
This was the best performance of the best cover of one of the best songwriter's songs ever. David's range and vocal qualities, and the way he built the song, along with the orchestration, is one for the ages.
I've listened to this a hundred times and still makes my body tingle!! Fantastic!
Thanks Sabina for playing the sound whole and not pausing it. Great idea to put text with it. Stunning cover and what a fabulous voice 😄
Thanks 🤗🥰
Fantastic , great that she let us hear it with no talking . This song will be on my all time favs .
Word has it that Paul Simon said to David, "This is your song now."
Chills every time I here it. We have been warned. Not once, but twice, with the same song. This one more aggressive for a reason. And love the reaction!
Thanks a lot! 🤗
The original Simon and Garfunkel was a warning, This version is the pissed off that people didn't
hear the warning.
You felt it... I cry every time... I get chills... it really fits the lyrics... the passion pain and emotions
I love it, love it, love it. Usually Disturbed doesn’t make that type of music I’m listening but this cover is even better than the original and he is killing it. Truly amazing.
I agree 100%!! I did not Disturbed, but this was SUCH a pleasant surprise!!
I was blown away by this version! I was a young child when Simon and Garfunkel released it back in the 60s. He owns this song now.
He does. What a cover...
Hundredth time ... chills again.
Thanks a lot!! Glad you like my style. And yes, this was an outstanding cover!
Letting the video play through will get many reviews blocked by YT for copywright issues, but I like this style of review too. Subtitles for initial thoughts while not interupting is perfect. Then talk to us with snippets from the video to show your points, brilliant. SUB'd
Thank you. May your reviews sneak past the (c) freaks and make it to your audience unabridged.
@Rev Sean Casey there is another that reacts with watching and then reaction called "it me barry"
Hi Dear!
Wow what a beautiful rendition of this song!
The voice!
It’s when his voice gets rough and raspy I love it!!! Goosebumps all over
"Wow" is always the first word out of everyone's mouth the first time they hear this song
Truth
My pleasure, dear!!
950 million views and counting this was done live on Conan in 2016
Your video is well done and appreciated, so many people stop the video and share their opinion instead of watching it all the way through. What I love about the song is that he takes you through a journey with blows highs and then he kills it with the fry. That is what it's called when he uses that horse voice
Thanks and Well said!!
@@sabina1118 voice to text doesn't always come out right, LOL
Let it play through. Thank you. Tremendously powerful. One of best I've ever heard.
I hope you get the chance to see them live!! It's an amazing experience!! David is a force that you can't understand until you see it live!
This may be the best reaction ever. Putting your thoughts up in captions, an amazing recap at the end. Loved it. Great job.
Thanks a lot!! ❤️❤️
Disturbed’s version hits all your musical senses…You see it, feel it, and hear it all in a powerful crescendo into finally uniting the music with the musicians…Brilliant!
Thanks for your well felt, honest, uninterrupted reaction!
I love watching reaction videos of songs that move my soul…However, this cover by ‘Disturbed’ is always stopped for reaction just as it’s building to a new level…99% of male reactors do this, and I have to be honest and descriptive here (wives will understand what I mean🫢)…
It’s like the act of physical love being expressed and you are in a rhythmic flow toward a beautiful climax and suddenly…
your 6 yo. is knocking on the bedroom door…🙄🫤
Thanks for not answering the door!
🦋Lily🦋
Disturbed's video is worth seeing/hearing. It really brings meaning and additional power to Paul Simon's song.
Love the touch of the guitar on it. The noah's Ark at the end.
Singing at the end: whisppppppperrrr in the sound of silence.

I could list to this doing forever ❤
Thank you for not pausing every 10 seconds. Amazing reaction
My great pleasure ❤️❤️ Can’t enjoy the music or get a true first impression when interrupting the song 😬😬
10 points for listening to the whole song and listening unlike so many other reaction vids. It was nice to to see your authentic reaction.
Thanks a lot!!
Brilliant, your face, your words, your reaction said it all .. it's a brilliant song, but this cover version is simply beautiful
I love the way you let the song play, and write out your thoughts. It makes for a much better viewing.
Next stage of worldwide revolution will get this song for its victory :)
David Dramein is awesome!! Love him!!
His voice is amazing...!
The bands cover is awesome! Thanks for posting Sabina!
My great pleasure 🥰
Love how you type your thoughts instead of interrupting the video...cos we love watching it through as well
I would recommend watching their video it is epic. They deserve the credit they've been given from everyone who has seen or heard this performance.
I've always said the S&G version is a sad lament of their times, whereas the disturbed version is a dire warning.
Exactly!
Or the rage over the message being ignored.
This song is beautiful, powerful, and emotional and the video is great too.
He was actually sick with the flu during this Conan performance. He is a classically trained vocalist that turned to rock about mid-stream. He’s a god talent.
You need to watch the music video. The visuals are stunning and takes this song beyond any other video.
Please do yourself a favor and watch the video for this! I promise you won't be disappointed!
I will for sure!!
I was coming here to say the same thing.
These song were written in two different time periods and I love them both. He did a great and wonderful job.
Thank you.
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️ This is so beautilfully Said. Lots of love!
I adore watching your reaction to songs. You are so honest! I love you
Thanks a lot!! 🤗❤️❤️
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Appreciate your respect for his performance and thoughtful comments. Look forward to more from both of you.
Your spicy way of describing this song is refreshingly different😎.
Thanks a million!
The song is actually Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel and this particular cover is done by David Draiman, a specially trained (Cantor) vocalist from the band called Disturbed. The song was written by Paul Simon and originally released in September 1965. 😊
I like that you listened the song without talking. This is how it's done. Bravo.
thanks!!
Wonderful reaction video! I've watched many first time reaction to disturbed and David's cover . It's always :WOW I WASN'T EXPECTING THAT:
Amazing song, amazing voice, amazing version!
Apparently it has had a great impact on people who are deeply depressed and saved them from taking their lives
The two cuts above are:”Hold on to memories” and “A reason to fight”.
My pleasure!!
mate! after 1 min of listening to this song the first time I was crying.. literally crying so loud.
Definitely one of the best covers ever loved Simon and Garfunkel but this blows it out of water 💧
I love that you comment with words rather than stopping the song every ten seconds
Thanks a lot! I have noted that :D
I've watched maybe 20 voice coaches react to this song, and their reactions are all the same - "WOW!"
Amazing version this is a classic in its own right...loved it so much....thanks...
It is! ❤️
This is so much better than the original, well done David Draiman, he literally blew your hair back
Hahaha, yes he did :,D
Just Wow
Thank you so much!!
Thanks for sharing this!
This song spoke to my soul
