    That's a great way to get that one fitting off using the Dremel tool. Thanks.

    That's really good-looking ATS! I have a 2015 premium performance rwd with the 3.6 all blacked out. I've had mine for 4 years now and still get the wow factor every time I drive it. 🔥💪💯🇺🇲

    Great video! Exactly what is wrong with my son's car. You saved us 100-200 bucks. We found the part on ebay motors for $23. Thank you!

    great video - is there another way or tool that can be used to get the one fitting off besides a cutting wheel?

    • @JeffLyle
      @JeffLyle  Місяць тому

      @@andyschneider8221 yes you can use a fuel line disconnect tool and I think Cadillac makes a special tool for the job. I just don’t like buying stuff if I don’t have too.

    Hi there..but I have a question..I changed the hoses but I am still having code(p0171) so can you help me to see what’s the problem..thanks..

    • @JeffLyle
      @JeffLyle  Місяць тому +2

      Did you use a code reader to clear the codes after you changed the hoses? If not, it could take time to complete a successful drive cycle for the codes to go away on their own. If you don’t have a scanner/reader, you can go to autozone or oriellys and ask them to clear it. If you did clear it and it came back then you still have something causing the lean condition. I’d start with doing a smoke test to check for vacuum leaks somewhere else. If you have other codes like misfire, check spark plugs and fuel injectors. If you have o2 sensor codes too, then change the sensor. Also try cleaning the MAF sensor if you have a MAF code.

    Turns out I have this same issue , however unrelated to the vacuum issue I noticed your coolant reservoir is completely full where as my car only has coolant in the top half.... Is this an issue? Just got the car a few months ago

    • @JeffLyle
      @JeffLyle  Рік тому

      Not an issue. Turns out the tank is supposed to be half full. I overfilled my by mistake. If you happen to overfill it though it is not an issue. There is an overflow hole in the top that allows extra to escape.

      Hi there..thank you for your videos it’s really helpful….but for your information the lower coolant reservoir it’s should be filled to the (half)there is a small mark liner in the middle of the reservoir showing you the (fill)…..

    I had this problem before with my 2013 ats4 2.0t awd I took it in and cost me around $340 so I found your video and I went to the Amazon link you’ve got and in the reviews it says the braided hose is short I’m just wondering if you actually did order from that link so I don’t get screwed with having to wait on returning and ordering another part ?

    • @JeffLyle
      @JeffLyle  11 місяців тому +1

      the link in my description is the actual part I ordered. It fit perfect!

    How do you get the engine cover off

    • @JeffLyle
      @JeffLyle  11 місяців тому

      Remove the one bolt holding it down and then remove the oil fill cap!

    Apart from the common areas where else could it leak? I replaced those plastic hoses with rubber heater hose. But I’m still occasionally getting P0171, and sometimes the car will drop idle and come back up. Hasn’t stalled yet, do you think the clips could be broken? 2018 2.0T CTS

    • @JeffLyle
      @JeffLyle  5 місяців тому

      I recommend either making or buying a smoke machine. I got one on Amazon for about $100 that works great but you can make them for about $20.

    Will this cause the car to not shift correctly?

    • @JeffLyle
      @JeffLyle  10 місяців тому

      sorry for the delayed reply... I did not experience any shifting issues related to the vacuum leak. In older cars though, some automatic transmissions used a vacuum modulator to assist in shifting gears and they could experience shifting issues.

  • @Madderz007

    Just ordered the part. Did you have to clear the engine light after replacing the hose or did it clear by itself.

    • @JeffLyle
      @JeffLyle  Рік тому

      I cleared the code, but it may eventually clear itself after driving it around a while

    Is this why my car would cut off while at a red light? Or park

    • @JeffLyle
      @JeffLyle  6 місяців тому

      Probably not. Do you have a check engine light on and can you scan it to see any codes? If you don’t have a scanner, you can go to a parts store like autozone and they can scan it for you. Let me know what codes you get and I can give you most common ideas to what you should look at

    Windshield Washing Fluid Pump - Repair

    • @JeffLyle
      @JeffLyle  4 місяці тому

      that's an interesting one. I've never had the pump go out on a Cadillac. But I have had the connector that attaches to the spryer that sticks out of the hood break. If you hear the motor running but dont see anything shooting out of the sprayers, remove the heat shield under the hood and see if the sprayers are still connected. If not, they can be found on Amazon for less than $20.
