It is probably directed down to reduce water contact on filter, from rain.

One thing for sure.....this guy isn't smarter than the engineers.....dont get me wrong some engineers and the things they do may not make sense to us but thats cause none of us are engineers.

@@EliteOnTheBeat the 90 causes turbulence right before the filter, which is what you want to make the entire filter effective. Otherwise a single part of the filter will get dirty while the rest of the filter stays clean because it flows cleanly through.
The tradeoff is air filter surface interval and air filter performance (to include things like surface area, ribs, etc.). IMO I'd rather just change the air filter like I do an oil change. They're just as cheap.

Good friend, I just watched your video and I like it. I have a Cadillac just like yours but 2015 2.0 turbo

Interesting! I never noticed this and I look at my car ALOT lol

Lol! Same - thought I’d put this video out for those who are not aware. I’ll see if this will also help break it to the 12’s.

To completely remove that piece (without damaging it in case you find you need to put it back on for some reason), you have to separate the bumper cover from the black plastic directly behind it and remove the bumper cover front the bumper cover mount.
It takes a little force, but, pushing the piece towards the bumper cover (while keeping the black plastic directly behind the bumper cover pulled back) you can maneuver it between those 2 parts being that it's actually pushed into the black backing to the bumper cover when installed initially.
That's how I removed it so I can reinstall it come winter time when it's -20° out so the car can better manage it's heat.

And I would like to put a blowing or exhaust valve on my Cadillac but I don't know how it is put on it or where it is put on you could tell me or how it is done

If you're looking for the "wooosh" sound, just add a cold air intake. I have the one ZZ Performance and sounds great!

Pretty cool, but dont forget, a cold air intake does nothing on a turbocharged car. That's what the intercooler is used for. Good work regardless though. Would be cool to see that vent maybe used for like a brake duct or something like that

Very true. It is a little helpful though. Mighty car mods did a vid on it with a Skyline. It easier to cool a charge that is colder vs a hotter one so it will help the intercooler in its job. At the end of the day its like 2-3hp, which is free horsepower. But when talking about turbocharged cars that's not much of anything. I think what would be helpful is making sure that cool air from the fog light area can reach the filter as well or extending the intake to have the filter sit in that area.

I hear on the 2.0 if you install an intake there’s a chance of the motor being blown

Well, I've had the cold air intake on for 12k miles, tracked it and running hard (It's running 12's in the 1/4, 7's in the 8th) with no blown motor. The important thing is to have a proper tune so that you don't go lean on the air fuel mixture. Running lean is the dangerous part. Not just for this motor, but for any motor.

Yes it works buuuutttt. The shutters on the grill shut at higher speed trapping hot air. Have data logs to support.
Diconnect and turn off mil during warm seasons.

Well.... This was closed and sealed off from the factory. There are no shutters in front of this opening. Only in front of the radiator. What year ATS do you have?

Waste on a turbo car , does nothing ! Invest in a larger intercooler
