    Beautiful!!! I think what makes this so special is that it's being played on this glorious T.C. Lewis organ at Albion Church. I love trumpet music, and I didn't even miss real trumpets in this, because the organ replicates them so well. This organ has such a beautiful tone, it's perfect for everything, but especially for bright pieces like this!

      Howdy neighbor! Also from Phoenix, now how do we get the Scott Brothers to visit here to play the handful of instruments lurking about the area sitting largely unused?

    • @lexicon2007
      @lexicon2007 3 роки тому +2

      @@pipedreamin I was going to pose that question myself. I used to be a church organist. Don't play at concert level anymore. Just love the instrument. Organ Hall at ASU would be a start. Maybe after this hideous pandemic is over.

    • @pipedreamin
      @pipedreamin 3 роки тому

      @@lexicon2007 unfortunately no, taught myself a little years ago until my old Baldwin died. I’ve been fascinated with these ever since a kid. Used to go to organ stop on Missouri. I believe Walt Strony played there back then, I have a couple records from there I bought way back when of him playing it. The Fritz is a wonderful instrument, but there are many more around town like the one in Gammage, the Fowkes up in Pinnacle Presbyterian, the Schantz in Trinity just to name a couple. There really is quite a variety of instrument styles here in the area.

      @@pipedreamin It's great you taught yourself to play the organ. I used to attend the organ concerts at ASU Organ Hall given by Dr. Kimberly. I had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Kimberly at one of her Organ Hall concerts. She was a gem to speak with. She even offered me some Organ time at the organ there.
      I have at home a Viscount 2M/P, a CONN 652 Theater Organ and an Estey Reed Organ for practice.
      Sorry to hear your Baldwin organ died.
      It would be great to meet up and chat about the organ, let me know.

    Well from 1.49 this comes to life in a way that Dianne Bish and Virgil For would adore! I have played this so many times for weddings as a solo or with one or two trumpets so this version comes as a refreshing change. Cross reference with Maurice Andre and Jane Parker Smith. Thank you for this recording a great treat.

    🍍🌴Naturalistic pantheism identifies God with the world. There is God, there is the world, but God merges into the world. The world is the only reality, God is only the abstract sum of all that exists. This is what these sonorities inspire me
