I always thought: Because Jonathan in the 14 years in which he has been uploading videos, never uploaded the wedding march? And here he is! And she is played STACATO, as she is heard in the orchestra. Long live the organ! Forever
Jonathan, I was a church soloist for decades. Your amazing performance of that piece reminded me of all the years I was a soloist. I am a devoted fan of you and Tom. The two of you have brought me so much happiness as I listen often to your videos (daily, actually). Keep them coming. Gina Dodds, Bellmore, NY USA
Fantastic music as always Jonathan. I’ve heard many different organists play in my lifetime but you are simply the very best. No one can surpass you. Thank you so much for these fantastic concerts, both from you and Tom with his amazing filming, recording and animation.
I have two degrees in music, a bachelor's and a master's. What a joy to hear your articulation, your registration selections, your musicianship! And I enjoyed seeing your French cuffs anad cuff links, indicative of your high regard for music, your instrument and details. Every single detail of your performance was impeccable! Thank you!
To me, French cuffs and cuff links are a fashion detail, which goes above and beyond basic acceptable wardrobe. Your approach to this performance portrayed your attention to detail, as well, by going beyond what was expected in your performance. I assumed that this effort was because of your love for music, as well as your instrument. No worries. Your performance and articulation were appreciated and enjoyed. "Two masters" was just to add a measure of clout to my accolades. I do know a little about music and found your rendition praise-worthy. Play on.
I love the way you played this piece in it’s original marching tempo. You deserve to be invited to play the worlds largest pipe organ in Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall
Awesome, as always, Jonathan. Love what you play and the awesome places that you play. Your brother does an awesome job of videoing and really showcases yours and his work.
I must have heard this piece of music many times I personally prefer it on the organ and this rendition in in my honest opinion the best one out there I love the bass and swell thank you Jonathan for a superb performance all I need now is the other most performed piece but with prelude to act three as well
Gracias, Jonathan, gracias. Esa obra fué interpretada en mi boda en la Ciudad de México hace 50 años (29 nov 1969) por mi hermano Gabriel, organista entonces en esa ciudad. Gracias, Tom . (Juventino Flores, Córdoba, Veracruz, México)
❤❤❤ can't wait to hear this sound.! Kind of getting a spine chilling feeling by just thinking and hearing this sound. By thinking that it's gonna be very soon..its giving anxious feeling on a good way.
Magnificent as always and some wonderful visuals Tom. Jonathan, I wish you could carry the Bridgewater organ around in a suitcase, you and it are meant for each other!!
It may well be a cliched and even hackneyed piece but in Jonathan's hands a wonderful piece played brilliantly as usual. Thank you Jonathan and Tom for brining it to us.
Not Mendelssohn’s fault, or Mozart’s ( Eine Kleine Nachtmusik), or Chopin’s Funeral march) that their music became abused by unscrupulous public. Like the most beautiful, sacred places became inundated by Chinese tourists, who don’t give a hoot, just to brag about.
I would love to learn to play organ. I can play piano and electric keyboard. But I couldn't believe how different they both were to the organ, when I was allowed to try the organ in my local church. I love a good church organ. It can be a real scene setter1
I used to play this at the end of every wedding in the 70s, 80s and 90s (only the first minute or so of it, then everyone was outside pouring confetti). Then at the turn of the millennium, church weddings just stopped. From then on it has been all secular canned music. Then I once again played at a church wedding last year, and one last week, but still no Wedding March or Here Comes the Bride. Has anyone else found the same?
Beautifully played, but not my favourite piece for a wedding finale regardless of tradition. For my first attempt, Bach's fantasia super on 'Komm Heiliger Geist Herr Gott", provided the right balance of gravitas and celebratory fervour. (sadly, my 2nd attempt lacked the music but not the fervour!)
The Bride was very nervous...Her mother said..'just remember 3 little words as you approach the altar..You'll pass them on the way...Aisle altar hymn!! [I'll alter him...!]
A piece of music that sends a shiver down the spine of many a man.
A good shiver or a bad one? I suspect the latter hehehehe. Touche.
@@geriatricyclist1950 Clearly a good one.
😂ain’t no way
This is the best organ rendition of Mendelssohn's wedding march I've heard. I can listen to it unstoppable...
Dang .. I can barely strum a guitar, and this man is doing things simultaneously with all four limbs to produce music .. amazing! 👏
One says organ is the king of instruments. 😌
I always thought: Because Jonathan in the 14 years in which he has been uploading videos, never uploaded the wedding march? And here he is! And she is played STACATO, as she is heard in the orchestra. Long live the organ! Forever
I like the staccato as well! 🎹🎶
I wanted to have a wedding ceremony while this performance was playing. Unfortunately, I didn't have a partner.
That might be a problem...😂
🤭🙉
Love comes when you're not looking for it just some times looking for you
Same
I feel you had to do it 3 times in the past year it hurts
What positive music! So many have walked down the aisle to this fabulous tune . It's so happy . And intended for a happy occasion.
With all its vibrant colours! Wonderful rendering.
Jonathan Scott ... einfach super !!!
So nice to hear the entire march. I've played it many times, but in small rural churches, I rarely got past the main theme! Thanks so much!
Ah memories. Thanks, Jonathan.
Bravo et merci vous avez magnifiquement interprete la Marche Nuptiale
Love listening to Jonathan Scott. He has such an unassuming manner, and his sartorial elegance matches his superb organ playing skills.
Yes, he's always dressed very tastefully "to the 9's".
I wonder if he ever wears shoes without laces!@@marc49lewis
Absolutely Fabulous!!!!!

Thank you. That was Heaven on Earth.
I grew up with this piece of music. It will always stay one of my favorite pieces of music for the organ. Thank you for sharing with us.
Brought back fond memories of taking part in a production of A Midsummer night dream 🥰 🙏👍
Fantastic music as always Jonathan. I’ve heard many different organists play in my lifetime but you are simply the very best. No one can surpass you. Thank you so much for these fantastic concerts, both from you and Tom with his amazing filming, recording and animation.

His work on the pedal clavier always captivates me. Wonderful rendition rendered, IMO, the way it was written - brisk - staccato.
Is it only me who want to cry when I hear this because of how beautiful this masterpiece is?
No. I do too. Nothing to do with the wedding link. The music is just magnificent.
@@wanda_5415 Thank you! That's exactly the same opinion as I have.
Tremendous instrument
Tremendous organist. Great additions
Amazing. I am currently learning this song but the way you played was mind capturing
Fantastic - thanks so much. Really enjoyed it.
Fantastic music and great organ playing !

I would love to hear some of their arrangements on that monster. That and the Wanamaker

New life to a weary war-horse that was! Well done.

Beautiful 🥰
Love these piccoli concerti. Compliments on the arrangement.
A most wonderful interpretation of Mendelssohn's famous wedding march. Thank you.
I LOVE THIS WEDDING RECESSIONAL! WITH THE PIPE ORGAN, IT'S REALLY MAJESTIC!
Such a performance on my wedding day would be GREAT!
That is a wonderful arrangement! Bravo!! 👏🎹💐
Awesome transcription! Awesome performance! Awesome organ set inside a beautiful church set in a beautiful countryside. What is not to enjoy! Bravo!
Wau! This is beautiful!
Bravo!!
BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVISSIMO!!!
Jonathan , the wedding march usually leaves me for dead, but when you play it, I find my albeit fallen Angel’s wings again
Awesome!
there is something about this piece that just shouts JOY! it always moves me to my core
This (the one with more Morse code Vs than Beethoven's fifth) and the other one (HCTB).
Excellent, thank you
Precioso! Muy bien!! 😘
That's some fancy footwork.
It felt i was right there with you in the cathedral, excellent as usual!!

Johnathan “Simply the Best”!
wonderful
Before this video was posted i never thought i would see a video of mendelssohns wedding march
Happy reminiscences of this being played, in the early '60s, by Nicholas Kynaston at the RA hall - one of my earliest organ LPs.

¡Hubiera sido maravilloso si alguien hubiera grabado su interpretación!
I love those Spanish trumpets in that organ. ❤❤❤❤
Suonata meravigliosamente......,
Great Brother ❤️❤️
Grazie Jonathan

Excellent performance! :)
Superb playing!
At 00:06, we have a rare sighting of Tom Scott, working his usual magic with video and sound.
Magnificent as always and some wonderful visuals Tom. Jonathan, I wish you could carry the Bridgewater organ around in a suitcase, you and it are meant for each other!!
This piece makes me want to get married.
I think that’s the point lol
Good job!
Bravissimo!
Thank you very much for uploading!
I never thought to see you playing the most cliché piece after bach's toccata, but surprisingly it doesn't annoys me.
Great performance!!!
Absolutely it can't annoys, it's very nicely done! Thank you Jonathan.

❤️❤️❤️
They played this on organ at my wedding in 2008 at the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi, Kenya. Still married with 3 boys. 👍🏽
I would love it if an engaged couple overheard this and just walking down the aisle!
Pues será que no la he tocado veces y veces... (Suspiro) 😌
Wish i can hear this in live once in my life, as i know,my country doesn't hav any pipe organ🥲
This makes me think of a merry go round.

maravilha!
Mr Mendelsson would approve .
I want to learn to play the organ bit its so hard to learn
Oh man, that was rich,
My wife smiles and giggles every time she hears this. Every married man I know wants to run to the church doors! Hmmmm?…. I wonder why?😆
Spectacular as usual. 🤔, but I am I crazy to think I played a 'funeral martch' (piano) written by Wagner?
Hubiera sido maravilloso grabarla. Sólo queds en mi recuerdo...
Ojo: todavía sigue mi matrimonio..( Juventino Flores, Córdoba, Veracruz, MÉXICO)

Is there any sheet music avaivle?
Yes its available on his website
Read the notes.
I want this played at my funeral
Welling March sounds pretty good on church organs
Corrljo: hace 51 años mi boda.(Juventino Flores) Perdón
What is this church? Catholic or protestant (anglicanism)
Likely an Anglican church. They do preserve very good music tradition.
St Leonard's is Church of England.
Ah yes we all know this classic theme.
Very nicely played, however this tune makes me shudder
When I got married, I chose another song to walk down the aisle.
