IVE's music just keeps getting better and better imo. They used that 7 months perfectly to create the perfect comeback for them. I AM is such a powerful track and I feel like it's their best title yet. The album is WONDERFUL too, the bsides sounds so good and EVERYONE sounds so good. This comeback was impressive

As a Jisoo bias i was so excited only for them to drop the ball. Jisoo's vocals are sultry and cool and they shouodve prioritized that over a stupid tiktok dance.

@@maqqie_ nooo, Rosé and Lisa's solos were not that viral, big and viral aren't the same in my opinion, like Pink Venom was big but not viral like flower, Zoom was viral but not big, Money was but as background music not the dance, Flower isn't very good (which isn't a condition for virality) but everyone is dancing it and it's all over the internet like the challenges with pets and students and athletes dancing it (like what happened with Nayeon), BP's biggest domestic hit since HYLT and with great longevety. It's super viral, the choreographer struck gold with the hand move, none of the BTS members solos were that tiktok viral cause the songs weren't built for that like Flower was.

Honestly, seeing IVE keep on winning after all the hate is the most fulfilling thing ever. I AM is the definition of a smash hit, this song is powerful, glorious & emotional, and in the context of the last few months for them, it is JUST PERFECTION. 10/10 THIS is how you comeback. Masterclass!!!!!
Mind you i literally CRIED listening to I AM, because it feels so grand, so true, so beautiful. It's like a love letter to what's been one of the best careers in k-pop so far. They debuted barely a year and a half ago, and i feel like i've seen them grow and evolve for years, like, just comparing how they looked and sounded in Eleven to now, you can see the diference. They all look like grown up women, who deserve everything they have gotten so far.
I've heard thousands of time people saying "there is never going to be another BTS/Blackpink" and i always agreed totally, but when i first saw and heard I AM, it just clicked. IVE is marking k-pop history. You may think i'm going too far right now, but wait, just wait and see.
It's just the way IVE NEVER DISAPPOINT WITH THEIR TITLE TRACKS its like they always outdo themselves everytime .. I mean, I AM lyrics (or the idea) may sound cliché, but somehow it works and even sounds poetic? And I guess it's also because of the melody and vocals that make the song so emotional. In addition, IVE had so much hate last year and this song really relates to them in some way, hence the song is very suitable for IVE and doesn't make it "cringe" but more, like, motivational. This background really makes this song greater than it's already.

@@rosefulmadness I didn't say they did it cringe? I said that some people may perceive "motivational" or "self-improvement", or "love/believe in yourself" concepts as "cringe" (that's why i put this word in quotation marks), but IVE instead made it emotional.
Ive, Suga, Dojaejoong and SVT were my faves this month. May is going to be insane because of all the comebacks and it looks like Enhypen are back to making good tts again but we'll see.

seventeen and ive owned this month
For all the hyperbole thrown around in kpop, IVE really have had a perfect run so far. Even their output of single>single>single>album, which was making people uneasy prior to this release, seems perfectly paced in retrospect. And with this album release, it feels that their first artistic cycle has concluded itself naturally and they're in position to open up a new chapter with their next comeback. Credit to all involved. They absolutely nailed it.
HOW DO SVT AND IVE SLAY EVERY TIME. I literally gasped when I heard the songs name was Sun Wukong, which is literally Monkey King 💀 but these two comebacks were probably the only ones that made tear up- mays a big month for comebacks, but no IVE and SVT might make me throw up.

Ive made the best album of the year when I heard the title track I knew the album tracks are also going to be awesome just like the title track and yes it was !! I can't get enough of blue blood, cherish, hypnosis and kitsch ! This is their best release to this date and is one of the best comebacks of the year.

I am SO GLAD to see CSR reviewed, Shining Bright initially wasnt hitting but when it did, i saw the light. Its so sweet and innocent and one of the best songs of the year already, its not a deep track, but it is perfectly fun and sweet. When their worst TT is leagues ahead of some of the bigger groups out there, we have an instant classic group. I need more of it.

I literally shed a tear at the IVE review part, with all the hate they get, as a dive it's the best thing seeing them get some praise for their hard work and talent!
I don't consider myself a carat since I don't know THAT many Seventeen songs, but damn. Every single one I've heard so far is just amazing. I love my noise music and Seventeen is definitely one of the groups that executes it perfectly every time, they have a way of maintaining energy all throughout the song and ending it with a boom as well. It feels like they are executing exactly what they had in mind for the song so the listener can't help but be invested. I love love LOVE a good outro so I damn near had an eargasm listening to Super. If y'all have any bsides to recommend I'm all for it!!!!

Heres my favs this month!!! This month was so good i struggled to pick a favorite.
1° Ive - I Am (this played in front of my friends and i was STRUGGLING to not bop, 10/10, album was great, Kitsch, and hypnosis are MY BESTIES)
2° Perfume - NCT Dojaejung (Nct has always been hit or miss for me, but recently their music has been pretty consistently enjoyable imo, like THE BSIDES WERE SO GOOD. 9.9/10)
3° Eunoia - Billlie (i love their diversity in concepts so much, i feel like they remind me of RV in the way they have these really extremely unique title tracks each comeback, yet make every project cohesive on its own by using extremely consistently well produced bsides, 9.5/10 so happy with this one!✨✨✨)
4° Dangerous - Tempest (YESS WE LOVE BRIGHT BG'S!! DRAGON WAS NEVER A SONG!!!, 9/10)
5. Knock - Lee Chaeyeon (the song itself is nice ig, but the choreo is where this song shines, i feel like without it the song wouldnt be anything special, but overall i prefer this comeback from Hush Rush, 8.5/10)
6. Giddy - Kep1er (probably their best comeback in a while, crazy to thing they wont be here in a couple months, also Back to the city ATE, Giddy itself would be 8.3)
7. Golden Hour - Mark (i wouldnt have added this when it came out but its growing on me, 8.2/10)

My favorite boygroup comeback/debut this month was probably NCT Dojaejung‘s Perfume, the whole Mini Album sounds great and I‘ve missed that kind of boygroup music.
Other than that I pretty much agree with most of this video.
i haven't seen any comments about xikers so far, but xikers is pronounced how the robot said it in the video "psy-kers" !!! thank you for appreciating my boys

IVE SLAYED
IVE, SVT & Agust D had best k-pop releases this month imo.
1.) I've had my reservations with IVE as a group but they are releasing bangers back to back so I might have no choice but to keep an eye out for their releases.
2.) SVT being in 8th (or 9th??) year as a group and having the energy & determination to perform better with every comeback is almost anime level inspiring. Super was a song that definitely took 4-5 plays to grow on me since I'm not a fan of anti-drops but lord did it start hitting after that..every listen makes me want to go ahead and conquer the world or sumn.
3.) Man Yoongi's production & writing never fails to impress me. The album as a whole has a high replay value imo.
Personally i really like svt super so much. From the first time watching the MV i know this song will stuck with me (and it did).
Whenever i hear Super i always feel like a MC of some fantasy anime, i like the beat especially the backsound music in the beginning and the ending, it's just feel so grand. Woozi so genius making this album 🥺❤💗💙

As everyone else said, ive slayed this comeback! I am is the best song from a group with already great songs, and the album is pretty good too.
Kep1er's bsides are also great too. But giddy just exists though. Nothing about it wants to make me listen to it. The only thing i remember is yeseo eating chaehyun at the end of the mv. That was so funny

Knock by chaeyeon is much better than the snooze that was hush rush, it's very catchy, it showcases her dance skills better, and in general this felt more fitting to chaeyeon than her debut ever did. And i don't wanna know is very unique, it' unlike anything i have heard in kpop. Don't be a jerk is a nice, catchy song too.
