As much as I hate how Beautiful Monster ended too soon, I can forgive it for bringing back STAYC GIRLS
I think i found the problem
So the problem with beautiful monster is not ending but last chorus
So how were first two choruses sounding? YOON YELLING AT US
AND THEN SIEUN
But the last chorus?
J just going falsetto
AND THEN SIEUN YELLING
So since bridge had the same kinda vibes with the first lart of the chorus (J) it kinda made us feel like it was part of the bridge
AND THEN SIEUN YELLING was what we perceived as chorus
So if they did something like so bad (Yoon yelling and sieun harmonizing) maybe it wouldnt have eneded so abruptly

about the enhypen song, it's not that the song is terrible but it makes me think "wow this could have been so much better" and i hate when music makes me feel that way. when i look at their debut and drunk-dazed i just wonder where the artistry and melody of that went, and it makes their newer comebacks hard to enjoy for me.

1. Nerdy- Purple Kiss
My soty, EVERY part is just so good and fits perfectly, the production is super clean and THE DAMN STRING SAMPLES ARE DELICIOUS, the verses are kinda better than the chorus but idc. Also, the dance break ate, best part of the song, gave me goosepumps.
2. Copycat - Apink Chobom
We love a good pop song! the slow down in the bridge was great and the concept was great,we love to see apink going back to GOOD MUSIC.
3. Girls - Aespa
All except the choreo was great,the vocals, the raps, the FUCKING NU-METAL GUITARS, they really never fail

Actually i really liked this seventeen comeback. I think it's the perfect song for summer but i still like hot more.
Personally I really loved svt and en- comeback. Stayc's comeback didn't hit me hard as their previous releases but it's good anyway.
As for aespa.. I liked it sonically, but the choreo is a bit boring for me..

World was THE SONG for me. Like, I loved it so much and I don’t really enjoy hot. So, I guess, they reached different parts of fans with these songs which is good). I like that they don’t release only hard-hitting songs
July has one of the best comeback songs, I enjoyed the majority of them! Can't wait for August, we're gonna hear new Twice, Blackpink, Ive and GG titles 🥰

and as a swith and flover myself, i think what makes us like stayc and fromis_9 are the following:
1. all members have distinct voices
2. isa and hayoung have heartwarming vocals
3. seoyeon, j, and sumin's jazzy voices spice up their groups' songs
4. both groups have flawless discographies. their b-sides slap hard!
and we can't deny that all members of these groups are beautiful
I’m beggingg kpop producers to stop making songs that end abruptly istg 😤 it’s one of my fave things when a song has a climax and a satisfying ending, otherwise it feels so empty
right?? when a song ends, i want to think "omg that was such a good song" not "oh, thats the end?" and the latter is happening much more often now..
The best comeback for me this month has to be Future Perfect because I just don't see myself getting tired of it anytime soon. I enjoy the energy the song has and I love the pre chorus and chorus. I'm not really sure why people want enha to just keep to a particular sound especially seeing as they themselves said that they'll keep trying different things in their journey to finding their musical identity and colour. Blessed cursed was simply an underrated song and I still enjoy listening to it till this day. I have a really hard time finding much to listen too in kpop because it's just slowly starting to bore me but I can say that enhypen, amongst a handful of others, is keeping me around right now and the day I stop caring about Kpop is probably going to be the day enhypen brings out a bad song which hasn't happened yet. I've listened to a variety of music from Kpop and even though they aren't bad songs I just don't find myself going back to most. The comeback was cool and they never disappoint when it comes to their overall albums.
Another comeback I genuinely enjoyed was World by Seventeen. In comparison to Hot they released a masterpiece. I like the melody of the song and the vocals.

Idk I personally really really liked _WORLD simply for the fact that it gave me some earlier SVT vibes but more mature and modern kinda like how ASTRO did After Midnight. Familiar, yet different and refreshing. I'm still surprised people don't like Blessed-Cursed, but Future Perfect was a great follow-up in my opinion. Though I will agree with you and say I think they should really try to branch out concept wise **COUGH COUGH** *RETURN TO THE VAMPIRE STORYLINE ALREADY UNLESS THEY'RE WAITING UNTIL THEY DEBUT THE &AUDITION GROUP* **COUGH**

@Ronmaker it definitely isn't, it was clearly meant to be a title track, everything about the final production is optimized to be a catchy song that stay stuck in your mind and with a complementary choreography (then of course you can dislike it, it's totally fair)
you described stayc so well. They really are a monster rookie group (even though the debuted in 2020), they deserve more recognition because they actually don't have any bad songs. Periodt.

My picks this month were very unexpected:
1. Mascara - XG (this is why i dont slander noise music, im obsessed. 9.3/10)
2. Newjeans - Attention (i really dont feel comfortable supporting them, companies should stop debuting literal children. Otherwise i like the song a lot, wont stream it though, 9.3/10)
3. Copycat - Chobom (very simple, very effective. 8.8/10)
4. SF9 - Scream (a cute song for the summer, also bonus points cause sf9, 8.7/10)
5. Du Du Doom - P1Harmony (time to listen to the bsides😁. 8.3/10)
6. WJSN - Last Sequence (its their weakest release to date other than MoMoMo sadly😢 8.3/10)
Oh and beautiful monster, i wont share my opinion on her. I liked Sumins lines a lot is all ill say.

mascara literally feels like a little mix song and I'm living for it, and the girls are all aces, their stage presence is marvelous

ParadoXXX Invasion is pretty much the same as Future Perfect, but it sounds better, has less that shitty autotune I'm tired of. It's also more engaging as a "comeback" song.

When the chorus hits, it just hits. I think they are Ist? Entertainment’s (apink, victon, the boyz, etc.) new boy group. And I highly recommend.
But yeah this month was a pretty good month for music.

I agree with (edit: your opinion on) Beautiful Monster so much it hurts. Sometimes with abrupt endings, it works: the feeling is like falling off a cliff, but in a way that feels breathless, and the silence leaves the last notes echoing in my head and makes me want to listen to the song again immediately. Unfortunately, with BM this is not the case - in fact, the end kinda feels like colliding with a brick wall face first. Everything in the song that is there has the elements of a 10/10 song, but as a whole it just feels unfinished to me. It's missing an outro - or even a whole second part of the chorus.
I feel like nobody talks about it but why does nabillera or whatever by hyuna sounds like a Mickey mouse clubhouse theme song like 💀

I feel like most people feel like world wasn’t enough, but imo this was an AMAZING cb. This song was a gift to Carats and this was anything I could ask for. They delivered.

Very great throwback to 3rd Gen KPop, a no-skip.
Mascara by XG was literally one of the most powerful songs ive heard. I honestly couldve missed out on this if i didnt give it a listen.
The contrast between the melodic prechorus and the extremely shouty and monotonous chorus was honestly what got me hooked. It might not be for everyone, but its a yes from me.
