  • For this build, I wanted a clean, simple custom solo seat. The Hammer in Hand DIY solo seat fits the bill. The kit I ordered comes with a 10 gauge powder coated steel seat pan with closed cell neoprene foam attached and shaped, 8 oz vegetable tanned tooling leather, top and bottom, some 2 prong lacing needles, 10 yards of premium kangaroo lace, tracing film, and some cool decals.

    great video! thanks for sharing. i am just getting into leatherwork. one of my first pieces of REAL work is going to be on my old solo seat. good work!

    Wow... that's some freaky fast hammering. I'll bet you can thread a sewing machine with it running!
