It's really the type of plastic that determines if they are cutting corners or not, and here they used ABS for the entirety of the case which is just about the cheapest plastic they can use.
Been using this for the past 4 months and I love it. I had always wanted an affordable silent full-size (for work), and eventually my younger brother put me on to this. I've gotten compliments both from fellow custom keyboard friends and the older folk from work for the retro-y look. Love the sound, typing feel and having the ability to upload any gif I want to the mini screen.
One thing to note is that the Sea Salt linears use leaf springs integrated into the stem for sound dampening (like on Wuque/Haimuu switches) instead of silicone pads. This results in the bottom out feeling less mushy, but the top-out sound is less dampened when compared to the more conventional silicone pads.

i dont even know why many hated plastic mechanical keyboard and confused whats really the problem is. I personally liked plastic keyboard because i think it is a little lighter compared with metal/steel base in term of weight.
NGL, prefer plastic cases vastly more than aluminum. Form factors for plastic cases just look better, they're lighter, and frankly, the color choices are more vast and look better than metal cases. I'm using the the TH80 v2 and that case looks amazing. Epomaker software sucks though. You can't even change time to 12hr
I bought this keyboard and accidentally selected the one with the Sea Salt Silent switches. I sent it back because it was the worst feeling keyboard I've ever used. Yeah, pretty quiet, or at least a dull thud sound, rather than any kind of clicking/clacking. But the absolutely worst feeling switches have ever tried. It's put me off ever testing a silent switch again.
I bought the exact same keyboard as them. They have 0 QA. I got the keyboard the whole roll of keys do not work (the qwerty roll). Message their customer support, they legit ask me to QA for them to figure out the problem. Then ask me to create a shipping label for them in order to return then they will refund me. They wont even create the return label for you like most others until i pull out their own terms and condition clearly stating they will provide shipping label for any factory defects. PLEASE STAY AWAY. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. They will do anything to make your life hard.
Wouldn't buy it for the weird gimmicky mini TV accessory, but the keyboard itself is priced pretty competitively with the Keychron K4 Pro and V5 Max. But, hear me out, Keychron V5 Max (Or Q5 Pro if you're made of money), with the sea-salt silent switches. eh, eh?
I got this keyboard months ago with the Gateron Pro Yellows that it can come with as an option and I've loved it since, the only real problem imo is the software to mess with the screen is actually just terrible
first off I switched from blue switches to reds but swapping over on my rk61 hot swap to outemu silver switches and weirdly that keyboard in brown is giving me alien nistromo vibes with the way they made certain key caps like the spacebar
I bought this board, and it thoccs good. with flamingo switches. but i have tried budgerigars and silver matt switches and it sounds really good, board doesn't need any modding really.
I wanted a video where I can buy cheap quiet keyboard... As you said, some of us dont know or dont want to buy 10 different parts and assemble our own keyboard, but this keyboard is not budget friendly (I find 100$ for a keyboard a lot, I prefer 60-70 to be okay...), and you had to customize it with something we dont have to make it better.
The off-white is the only retro colors. They've only been white, off white and black. Very few options ever existed otherwise so i dont understand why that's an choice for colors.
This thought randomly came to my head recently. I’m a cuber and modern speed cubes replaced springs with maglev tech. I was wondering would this even be possible for a keyboard switch and how it would it even feel

I just stumbled upon your channel after watching Desk Setup Improvement videos including these upgraded customizable keyboards!
LMAO, the giraffioteh got me! Thanks for sharing and making me laugh. I never knew they were saying that about you and I do not think you have that long neck, but it is still funny. :D
Logitech Silent Touch K295 is a membrane keyboard, but I use that, if I want to type fast and quiet. And that is 30 Euro with a silent mouse.
Every time you tell me to subscribe I try, but then I remember I already am. Love yo bro, keep up the great content.
Yes! quiet budget keyboard for the win. Just the colours are a bit off but i guess fixable
Nola is so cute! And this keyboard is pretty cool too 😂
One thing of note Hipyo. I am visually impaired and I love the font on those keycaps. very easy to read. That said the spacebar seems too. ehh to me still.
i dont even know why many hated plastic mechanical keyboard and confused whats really the problem is. I personally liked plastic keyboard because i think it is a little lighter compared with metal/steel base in term of weight.
I built 2 using tcc frozen silents and the WQ studios silent linears. These are super quiet best for streaming or office.
But, hear me out, Keychron V5 Max (Or Q5 Pro if you're made of money), with the sea-salt silent switches. eh, eh?
Can we get a Nola stream were your not there
When $120.00 is a "budget" keyboard
Is the original keycaps available without the keyboard ? If yes please provide the link
Yeah, definitely 100% dbrand behavior with those keycaps lol
This intro + video is actually my exact situation (well... maybe a bit less exagurated).
I bought this board, and it thoccs good. with flamingo switches. but i have tried budgerigars and silver matt switches and it sounds really good, board doesn't need any modding really.
Stare at 0:28 by the cat and hipyo killed me lol
1:32 You and Nolla has same expression HHAHAHA !!
The off white tan/brown colors is very Amiga like.
Take a shot every time Hipyo says "however."
I like the color, it's almost noctua esk. (in fact Extremely close)
6 foot wingspan. Cute little t-rex arms. I can proudly say I have 6‘9“ and yes all my sleeves are too short
Dang I wish they’d let you buy the little tv when it was first released - I had to paint mine bc brown was the only colorway available at release…
Remember when budget meant 37 dollars and not three million one hundred seventy six thousand four hundred and eighty two dollars
I'm in need of a "silent" keyboard, as quiet as possible. How does this compare to an unmodified Varmilo with Kailh Prestige Silent Switches? Possible to for you to do a video on the top 3 or 5 library silent keyboards?
Can I get a link to the killmat you get
yoooo he got the dbrand keycaps?
Hi Hipyo! Random question, but how do you get Nola to not eat your toxic plants?
I really actually like the RT100 keycaps - any idea if they are sold separately as a keycap set?
Try changing your camera to half patch your hertz which is 60, so 30fps so it matches the light flicking
Could you also buy the little screen and use it on an brand keyboard? I know your prolly not gonna see it but i rly like those screens
It took me like an hour but i finally opened mine and modded it and if you can get into it and customize it, it can be amazing
7 minutes in and the only sound you've shown is the spacebar being spammed. My god bro.
$90+ isnt a budget keyboard :/
