One of the great mysteries; why this wasn't a huge hit. A great 'Bruce Hornsby' style piano intro, pretty girl, full 80s production, catchy chorus. Baffling really. As baffling as The La's 'There she goes' not being a top 5 hit. Ah well.

I wondered the same thing for many years, I seem to recall a story of in-house politics at A&M Records, around the time of its release, resulting in the song receiving very little publicity in the UK, and therefore sinking without trace, despite stations such as Radio 1 promoting it.
