Hey,nice man! awesome tour for sure. The “monogram cc” I think that’s what You said? Looks pretty interesting I’d like to learn more about that. Thanks for the tour!
You are as always on top. The best person on UA-cam who knows everything about Cubase. I love your headphone collection, and also thanks for the video.🤝
For a studio desk two things to consider, if you are going to change out gear a lot you’ll need good accessibility. If your setup isn’t changing that much you can build your own custom desk, it’s cheaper and you can integrate everything to taste. I made myself a desk exactly to my liking and it costed me less than 500 bucks. I built it in three months, everyday half an hour of work and you’ll end up with something unique. If I were to buy a desk there are many things I don’t like or would want different and the ones I do like are freaking expensive. So if you like to do it yourself it’s totally worth it 😊
I thought of that option, but time is an issue for me, and the fact that I'm not a good handyman, so I would need to rely on friends to help me out :-) But it still a posibility!
Great tour ! I recommend Dom Sigalas desk. I saw a video on it and it looks very cool. PS : If your wife starts asking questions, tell her it is a gift from Santa Clause ;)
Wow, I went searching through your videos to see if you had one about your gear and you just released it! I had the exact same desk as you : Ikea modified with sit/stand! Just switched to a StudioDesk... Great video, thanks. I'm going to try the trackball!
Cool video! I'm also finding myself using more outboard. I have numerous S patch patch bays, but need to upgrade my aging dual UR824 audio interface(s) to accommodate more inputs so I can use multiple ins and outs simultaneously. Topic of interest for me right now. Thanks for sharing your setup. Very good looking diffuser / bass traps!
Thank you for sharing this quantity of informations ! I have several questions : 1) In the past you used a PC, and a lot of component was selected to make the computer as silent as possible. Is the Macbook M1 Pro as quiet as your older computer ? 2) Is the processor of the Mac M1 powerful enough for big production sessions? With a lot of plugins, and bus processings. 3) Where do you store your library content for VSTi ? In the same SSD than where your sessions are stored ? So you just have to bring with you one SSD when you work outside your studio ?
1. This Macbook Pro M1 Max is still very quiet after 2 years of usage. I will hear the fans only when I export a Video out of Adobe Premier, but when I'm mixing in Cubase...QUIET :-) 2. Yes it is! Never had a problem so far! 3. My projects on one drive, and all may samples and VSTi content on another drive.

Glad you like my setup! Yes, I can use my DAW without outboard gear, but this gear gives me better tone when recording than recording straight in, so a bit less work to do while mixing. There's not right or wrong answer when it comes to this, it's a personal choice. I believe that gear or fancy plugins are good tools but are worth nothing if you don't know how to use them to make them sound good. And they will not make a bad song sound good either ;-)
@@mixdownonline Appreciate you taking time to answer my question. I am thinking of going down this route myself so it was good to get your perspective 👍
It's impressive how many years it takes to put together all that equipment. Regarding the monitors, what if you switched them? For instance, using the 27-inch Samsung for Cubase and the 24-inch BenQ for the mixer. I believe it might be better to have one positioned above the other, (like sit in a mix - lol) anyway i use those monitors and the BenQ is the best. Keep on the good work!
Hey man! Good stuff! On my side I got the secretlab xl standing desk and I love it's cable hiding feature. I also use the pc holder under it, and added racks in them instead of a PC. So my stuff is under the desk, cable manage quite cleanly, and it all lifts or lowers automatically with the desk without cable hanging. Hi Chris!! Amazing room and studio! I have a question about arc 4. How's the latency while tracking and playing vst instruments? Is it playable? I've read about it in some posts and still have not made up my mind about this issue. Thanks!!!
It's actually pretty good on latency, I didn't notice any issues when recording VSTi's, but if I had, I would simply bypass it. The speaker correction if more for mixing, and mastering purposes

That'll get his view count up fast. Thanks to you for reaching out, and helping Glenn.
Fascinating to see how things change. Just one question. You've switched from the Presonus Faderport to the Softube Fader mk3. I saw your vid on this (and Dom's) and it looks very exciting for the integration with Cubase. I could see this complimenting my CC121 if I ditched my current Mackie based Icon Qcon setup. Can this C1 Fader bring more and better things/features to Console 1 MKII, than for example an avid Artist Control? I am asking as I own the Console 1 MKIII...and use Pro Tools
