You’d mark me as a heretic, but I really appreciate your ministry. We see the Bible differently, but you’ve been a blessing to me. Thank you. Also, you need to preach with an organ in the background, at least once. I know a guy.
That’s very presumptuous and lacks the charity of which God expects us to treat others with. While it may be that he indulges in gluttony we do not know that and we have no reason to believe that. Being overweight does not necessarily mean gluttonous eating. In fact there are plenty of people who do engage in gluttonous eating who are not overweight. Let us take the log out of our own eye so that we can actually have the spiritual sight to see the splinters in our neighbors eye. I exhort you, fellow image bearer of God, to acknowledge the gravity of your sins and repent.
@@TheCamG Gluttony is in fact a sin. Anyone who is a “leader” or on the public stage should set a better example. Perhaps he is the exceptionally rare case where a particular medicine causes obesity, but that is so rare that I personally doubt it. I know the struggles of “overweight.” But, I’m not taking this man’s word for anything and that is my perogative.
Great message. I thank God for men like Doug. God bless.
This was exactly what I needed to hear! Thank you pastor!
Hear, hear! No details of our lives are too mundane for our heavenly Father. (Lk. 12:7)
Thank you for this message, a great blessing indeed.

I’ll take you seriously when you lose weight. Gluttony is a sin.
