ive watched your videos way back when I first got my car. had a few friends mention they saw this at SLB. nice to get an update. I hope you get some track time in to work out all the bugs before you sign up for a competition again!
Thanks man and I appreciate the viewership! The plan is a solid 6 mo or so of back to back events to really get comfortable in the car. That was supposed to be last year but the e153 had other thoughts LOL
Might sound stupid but I was wondering about those front hood vents, when water goes in there, how does it come out? Is there some type of hole or you make one? Is it fine to drive in the rain?
Good question. This car hasn't seen rain in yeaaaaars. I don't have a drain though. If it had to sit with rain I'd probably cover it. If you were driving in rain it probably doesn't matter. What I should do, and anyone who gets this should do is properly duct it so it's sealed from the inside of the frunk. I plan to do that I'm installing some other stuff up there soon so I'm waiting to do it.
@DanielOliverRacing OK, thank you for the replay and answer, I always wondered about that in general lol, it the same as for getting a aftermarket intake for the back but the vent opens directly onto where the intake is located at that why I'm kinda hesitant on getting one, Mines a NA so I'm doing it more for sound/looks than power lmao Just recently got a mr2 (first car) so still new to the community
I can take some for ya. I did a custom wing with them - I could give you the part number or order number. I have a steel base welded into the frame rails in the trunk and run the mounts to that. You have to cut the trunk a bit of course but yep.
@@DanielOliverRacingthat would be awesome. Its nice seeing options before committing to something and i dont often see frame mounted ones for the sw20. Are you are on any other social media platforms or discord that you could send that way since youtube is a bit limited?
Unfortunately the intercooler is there. I could raise the intercooler and duct it but I was trying to avoid it. As of now I've been able to get my diffuser on under the turbo so I'll roll with this for a bit and see...
I really appreciate the kind words. I cannot wait to see this car in person.

I wish this was in a Fiat X1/9 or an Austin Mini. Hell, it could be astounding in a Ford Pop or MGB too.
ur exhaust system looks so sweet. it looks super badass T,.T
Thank you! I welded it myself.
Would be great to get more details on the transmission swap, and some in car footage of how it drives. By the way, great build!
Hey! Thank you. Yeah for sure more info to come. I'm in the middle of a move right now but I'll make sure to get a video for ya!
Yooo this thing is NUTS!
Yooooo! That means a lot. I'll have some videos soon talking about the pre super lap battle 2024 updates and such.
this car is a mess and I love it.

Nice car bro!!
Thank you!!

Im considering the 9lives wing as well. How did you end up mounting yours? Got any pictures you could share?

For sure. I have another video I'm thinking of making soon so I'll make sure to put some closer shots in that video.
What side skirts on you running on the car?
They're border. I believe they're reps, I can't remember
how is that GCU doing? im hearing mixed opinions on it
@@pwilkutowski meh I have mine working so I don't want to switch but I would not recommend it.
Maybe mount the turbo up in the trunk?

@@DanielOliverRacing maybe go with an Air to Water system
@@dgo9121 not a bad option. I have this setup working pretty good now. The intercooler has a fan shroud with two huge fans
BRO THERE IS A HOLE UNDER YOUR SEAT FIX IT BEFORE YOU GO HIT SOME SPEED 😭😭😭
hahaha. we're all good now brother. Thanks for lookin out.
so why no sound clips or driving clips? might as well just post a picture
Coming soon. I think I mentioned that the car was not in the best state then. It's better now. Another video coming in the near future.
